More precisely and Biblical: many churches (geographically) but only one Body. Consequently, One Head: Christ. One Spirit. One baptism (the baptism by the Holy Spirit).I almost answered from a wrong perspective. I re read
I believe you are saying The Church of God the Father, is ONE Church, one body of doctrines and one set of beliefs, but can be located in different locations.
if so, I agree.
Amen and well said . I truly believe Christian’s quickly find power and understanding if we would look at the e scripture especially the nt as if it’s what god is telling us and wants us to know …… rather than trying to understand Gid without accepting what it saysI read a recent article online quoting John 16:12-13 as a promise that we are still to expect direct revelation from the Holy Spirit. But to whom is this promise being made? Isn’t it the 12 Apostles, and we receive the revelation indirectly as the apostles wrote the revelations for us. He, the Holy Spirit, gives us understanding of the revelation given to the 12, and Luke as a careful historian also relayed truth given to the Apostles for our learning. Luke was also a frequent companion of the Apostle Paul. 1 Cor. 2:9-14 promises to the believers the Holy Spirit the understanding of these gifts, the writings of the Apostles:
"But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness to me; and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning. “I have said all this to you to keep you from falling away. They will put you out of the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. And they will do this because they have not known the Father, nor me. But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told you of them. “I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. But now I am going to him who sent me; yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts. Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you." (John 15:26-16:15, RSV)
"But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,” God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For what person knows a man’s thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit. The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned." (1Cor 2:9-14, RSV)
The Holy Spirit inspired the writings of the men of God, and we can't interpret these writings unless the original author, the Holy Spirit gives the understanding of what was written.
"First of all you must understand this, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, because no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God." (2Pet 1:20-21, RSV)
So not baptism for repentance and remission of sins in his name ?More precisely and Biblical: many churches (geographically) but only one Body. Consequently, One Head: Christ. One Spirit. One baptism (the baptism by the Holy Spirit).
The sign of repentance and remission of sin is a witness for the angels: by which we are immersed into His burial. Only the Holy Spirit may place a person (immerse/baptize) in the Body of Christ. So not baptism for repentance and remission of sins in his name ?

Prophesy came in the past like it comes to today, the LORD puts the words of truth in his servant's mouth and they speak as they are commanded. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
and you also are witnesses, because you have been with me from the beginning. “
“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”Prophesy came in the past like it comes to today, the LORD puts the words of truth in his servant's mouth and they speak as they are commanded.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. John 12:49
"...and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."
Deut 18:18-19
Kinda like when the LORD said, "And it shall come to pass that when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud."
all good but not baptism by Holy spirit,More precisely and Biblical: many churches (geographically) but only one Body. Consequently, One Head: Christ. One Spirit. One baptism (the baptism by the Holy Spirit).
You should probably start another thread since this is off topic.Jesus to his chosen apostles
“and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
Luke 24:47-48 KJV
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
Peter one of those chosen apostles of Jesus Christ just after he received the Holy Ghost …..
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Acts 2:38-39 KJV
Philip another of those apostles commanded to go preach and baptize believers in his name
“Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.”
Acts 8:35-38 KJV
You said there’s one baptism right ? So you are then saying Peter an apostle and Philip an apostle both filled with the HOLY GHOST both were practicing the wrong baptism in water ?
Jesus was baptized in water all of his apostles and followers were baptized in water the apostles after Jesus died continued to baptize be r remission of sins in water after the holy ghost had already filled them up …….but none of that is the right baptism and there’s some other baptism that’s really not an act at all it’s just a secret “ baptism of the Holy Ghost “?
Based again on John the baptizer telling Jesus disciples this
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
Matthew 3:11 KJV
It’s strange no one seems to relate what John said to those men to this that happened to them later from Jesus promise …..
This same who were told that then had this fulfilled
“And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
Acts 2:3-4
Yet these chosen and approves and annointed apostles continued baptizing believers in water after this in Jesus name for repentance and remission of sins and they all had it wrong ?
It would indeed be wonderful if the church did not need to learn the elementary doctrines.all good but not baptism by Holy spirit,
by the "laying on of hands", by one in whom is the Spirit, God the Father, not Christ, impregnates the person with that ONE Spirit.
We are sons of the Father not Christ, Christ is our brother.
1 So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding.
Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.
2 You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.
The Laying on of Hands is a foundational doctrine of Jesus Christ, baptism by spirit is not.
Strong's does not have "baptism" as plural as is in verse 2
It would indeed be wonderful if the church did not need to learn the elementary doctrines.
Anyway...
Christ is also our Father.
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
There are four different baptisms in the scripture: fire, water, by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ, and by the Lord with the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:13,14 "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many."
So, the Holy Spirit is doing the work here: immersing each believer into the Body. Ultimately the Spirit decides our placement in the Body, not our efforts, educations, experience, will, etc. The Spirit decides who is where in the Body. Furthermore, the baptism by the Spirit is an identity change and a destiny change: from being outside the Beloved of God (Christ) and condemned to die forever to being placed within Him and to share in His kingdom inheritance.
The laying on of hands is one way to convey the baptism with the Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ completes this. He immerses us in the Spirit. This is a baptism of power by the Spirit. The laying on of hands may also be a way to commission one to be sent.
It would indeed be wonderful if the church did not need to learn the elementary doctrines.

Then stay comfortable in your current level of understanding.Confusion !
Aaron, in your "About" in your profile, you state that you are "not Christian", and some of your writings do seem to me to be from the mind of an unregenerate skeptic.
More likely you were offended because I showed clearly where Christ is called "Everlasting Father" by the profit Isaiah after you said He is not our father.Confusion !
You are putting your finger on a question that is often answered the way you suggest above. But that interpretation does not hold up under scrutiny. When, for instance, Jesus told His disciples in John 14 that they would not be left orphans upon His departure because He and His Father would make their hearts His home, and that He would reveal (by direct revelation) Himself to them and not the world, that promise was not to the disciples only, but it is for us as well. We must forfeit a great deal if we give up the notion that God communicates directly with His children (His Spirit with ours) -- Romans 8:16.I read a recent article online quoting John 16:12-13 as a promise that we are still to expect direct revelation from the Holy Spirit. But to whom is this promise being made? Isn’t it the 12 Apostles, and we receive the revelation indirectly as the apostles wrote the revelations for us. There were 12 Apostles of the Lamb. Paul was not one of them because he acknowledged the twelve, himself. He also did not meet the requirements outlined by Peter. All of them are with the Lord now, in spirit.Jesus' commission to the twelve with the miracles listed, among which is raising the dead:
“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying, give without pay.” (Matt 10:8, RSV
More likely you were offended because I showed clearly where Christ is called "Everlasting Father" by the profit Isaiah after you said He is not our father.
Don't be offended. Just change your mind and move forward.
