There is a lot more information on the RCC changing the Sabbath to Sunday in their own writings , some of it is truly amazing ! Many of them were open about it . Keep digging there is a lot more . Not at all of God . Christianity became a problem in the Roman Empire and they needed to get control of it and they did for the most part . History every truth seeker needs to get to understand so we can understand better the current times and how we got here . It helps us realize the scriptures are true after all and trustworthy. We do not agree about the new covenant. I know that the 10 commandments are part of the new covenant. You do not agree.
A covenant is signed by blood and once a person is dead or the life is given, it is sealed..
When Jesus died the new covenant was set. It was sealed. It was not able to be changed.
Where did Jesus say the 10 commandments are not in the new covenant.
The ceremonial laws were predicted in prophecy and show by God to have ended at the cross but the 10 commandments never stopped to be important.
Paul kept the 10 commandments
The deciples kept them.
And if Jesus want them to stop keeping them He would have made it clear.
Those close to Jesus continued to obey the sabbath after the death of Jesus. After the new covenant was set and sealed.
Luke 23:55-56 – After witnessing where the body of Jesus was laid, the women returned and prepared spices, then "rested the sabbath day according to the commandment." This demonstrates that even in their great sorrow and after the work of the cross was "finished" (John 19:30), they recognized the commandment of God as still binding.
Matthew 24:20 – Jesus told His followers, "But pray you that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day." By asking them to pray about this, He validated that the Sabbath would still be a holy day of rest forty years after His ascension. He desired that they would not be forced to flee on a day meant for sacred rest and communion with God.
Acts 13:14, 42, 44 – In Antioch, Paul and his company went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day. Notably, after the Jews left, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the "next sabbath." On that following Sabbath, nearly the whole city gathered to hear the word of God. If the day had been changed, Paul surely would have invited them to meet the very next day (Sunday), but he waited for the seventh-day Sabbath.
Acts 16:13 – Even when there was no synagogue available, Paul and his companions sought a place for prayer on the Sabbath by a river side in Philippi.
Acts 17:2 – It was Paul’s consistent "manner" to go into the synagogues and reason from the Scriptures for three sabbath days.
Acts 18:4, 11 – During his long stay in Corinth, Paul "reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks," continuing this practice for a year and six months.
These scriptures clearly show that the Sabbath was never abolished at the cross, but continued to be the "Lord's day" (Mark 2:28) observed by the faithful followers of Jesus.
And as far as Gentiles go.... they are grafted into the rootstock of Israel by Jesus.
Assumption: Because they kept the Sabbath after Jesus died the Sabbath remained as a commandment.
Reality: "According to the commandment" is the key that unlocks this. One should ask "Why is there need to write 'according to the commandment' if it is still active? Would not it have been understood by all, that resting on the Sabbath was expected? The reason it is noted is because, although by the death of Jesus the Law had been fulfilled, the disciples still operated according to their tradition: by keeping the law of Sinai. Christ had not yet risen to confirm that His death had been received as sufficient payment for the curse of the Law for all men.
Assumption: Because Jesus mentioned the Sabbath as a future reality, then the Law of Sinai remains in effect.
Reality: For the disciples, who were all Jews at that time, working on the Sabbath within their communities was to invite persecution from the other Jews. This would add to their tribulations had they need to flee on the day Jews observe the day.
Assumption: Because Paul preached on the Sabbath he still followed the Law given at Sinai.
Reality: Paul preached on the Sabbath in the temple because all the people were gathered at the temple. The timing ensured a good crowd. Did Paul also forget that the temple of the Lord was actually people because he used the Jewish temple for his work? Of course not. He knew the church was the temple of the Lord yet the earthly temple was good for gathering the crowds to hear the gospel.
Assumption: Because the Sabbath is mentioned it is still kept.
Reality: Paul was preaching is an area (Philippi inhabited by Jews) that recognized the Sabbath yet they had no temple. So, Paul went where the people gathered on the Sabbath: outside of the city. He ministered there.

Think about this logically so that you might see the category mistake you are making. The Fourth Commandment includes TWO related categories: Remember the Seventh day of Creation and Rest on the Seventh day of the Week.
The Seventh Day of Creation:
Stop and consider the wording of the fourth commandment is REMEMBER the Sabbath day. It doesn't say, "Remember to rest on Saturday." Instead, the Fourth command requires Israel to remember the Seventh day of creation. God didn't sanctify Saturday; He sanctified the Seventh day of creation.
The Seventh Day of the Week:
Resting on the seventh day of the week is an act of imitation. Just as God rested after working six days, his people are to rest after six days of doing their work. Just as God blessed the seventh day, Israel was to bless her seventh day. Just as God sanctified the seventh day of creation, Israel was to sanctify the seventh day and do no work on that day. Israel's seventh day of the week was Saturday, so she rested on Saturday.
What about the Catholics? For them, what day is their seventh day of the week? If a man starts work on a Monday and does no work on a Sunday, then he honors God just the same way Israel did. The Catholic man is keeping the seventh day of the week Holy. He has sanctified Sunday as his day of Rest. He works 6 days from Monday to Saturday and rests on Sunday.
What does it matter if one person remembers the Seventh Day of Creation on a Saturday or a Sunday? The RCC didn't change the day of creation. And they honor God by resting on a day of the week that is the last day of the week for them.
The day of the week doesn't matter. If a Gentile works for six days followed by a day of rest on a Friday, he honors God. If he works six days and rests on a Monday, he honors God. Everyone's story is different. We all have different work schedules. As long as we rest every seventh day, then what does it matter?

The ten commandments were listed in all the words the Lord spoke at Mt Sinai, the covenant law.
No one in the N.T said that Christians are under the covenant law of Mt Sinai.
Nor does anyone say that a Christian is under the old covenant.
The new covenant was sealed with the blood of the Lord.
The new covenant replaced the old covenant for Israel.
The old covenant was ratified without the death of anyone at Mt Sinai.
You cannot be under the old covenant and the new covenant at the same time.
If your under the old covenant you must obey all the words the Lord spoke not some of them.

Because the bible is clear that the sabbath is the seventh day, the day that God sanctified and blessed.
God did not BLESS any other day.

If any day is okay why was God mad when people went out on the 7th day?

The old covenant failed. Not by God or anything that God did. It was the people that failed.
The laws were only part of the covenant.
Obedience to the laws was were the people failed and understanding which laws were a burden and which laws were holy and good makes a big difference.

Not killing, not lying, not committing adultery, not taking God's name in vain are not void today.
You manage to find a way to allow these laws into the new covenant but the 4th commandment is made void.
Moses was shown the pattern of the heavenly ministry. The Shadow of what was to come.

Did God give faulty laws? It was not the 10 commandments that were faulty. The second was needed because of the peoples faulty attitudes. And the blood of animals did not forgive our sins.

The new covenant is about Jesus and how we relate to His gift. It is not about making all the perfect laws void.
It is about true freedom from sin.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

These perfect holy laws do not change.

As children of the new covenant we are free in Christ.

Apples and Oranges. God commanded Adam directly. He commanded Israel directly. He never commanded Gentiles to rest on Saturday.
That's my point. You don't seem to understand what God actually commanded.
I did read it. Did you not notice that the fourth commandment contains two directives? He commanded Israel to remember the day of creation. And he commanded Israel to rest on the Seventh Day of the week. Resting on a Saturday is not a moral issue, it's a civil issue. Israel rested every Saturday because that was HER seventh day of the week. For the world today, Sunday is the seventh day of the week.
For Israel, no. For everyone else. Yes.

This was said in the context of a covenant God made with Israel. We are not living under that covenant.

You believe Roman Catholic teachings? They claim Peter to be the first pope. Rubbish. They also claim that they made Sunday the Lord's day. They codified it but it was certainly observed as the Lord's day even in the early church. So no, RC did not change the day of worship.

ABSOLUTELY the sabbath was made for man way before Israel was introduced.
Here's the thing most miss. The jews believed that holiness was what a man did and could be observed on the outside.
When God included the day of rest they made it as a law. It is the only command that God said to remember and keep it holy.
It was a day to abstain from labor and toil and refresh in Gods ability to provide. Remember God gave a double portion of mana on the eve of the sabbath but none was found the morning of. It is God that sustains not man. Trust in the Lord. It is God that restores.
As jesus is quoted as saying....man does not live by bread (manna) alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
Jesus was confronted by the pharisees saying ....we know you come from God by the works you do. ....again seen observation, but also confronted for breaking the sabbath..... again a seen observation.
Jesus was not breaking the sabbath but fulfilling it doing the works of the father to restore that which was broken or neglected. While the people rested.
Healing the afflicted...feeding the hungry. Bringing to light the saying......with man it is impossible but with God all things are possible.
Paul says not to judge a person on his observance of feast and holidays which is in accordance with the new covenant.
For it is the heart that God is concerned about.
Trusting in God's abilities and not mans is key to the weekly sabbath. Observance of the sabbath is acknowledgement that

The Lord looked at all his work and said...it is very good. And the Lord rested God himself trusted in all he created from the beginning to the end.
During the time of the crucifixion there were 3 sabbaths....passover....weekly....firstfruits.

I am concerned about the confusion behind that concept. Did the RCC change the seventh day of the week to Sunday? Yes. Does it matter? No. The Catholic man honors God by resting on HIS seventh day of the week. That is a good thing, not an evil thing as some suggest.
Who is ignoring the words of Jesus Christ? Since resting every seventh day is beneficial for man, then the Catholic man, who rests every Sunday, is gaining the benefit of his rest.
