Sin, which is the transgression of God's commands give God the legal right to put a person to death.
We have all heard this one'; ignorance's of the law is no excuse,
There were times when Christ sent angels to put to death 100,000 or more,
Do you think God does things that are not legal?
I would think that would be more like the Greek gods.

As far as proving which day is the sabbath.
Look at the life of Jesus. He would not have gotten the day wrong. Jesus obeyed the law perfectly.
Mat 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
In German language the day for mid week is Wednesday.. which makes sabbath, saturday, the 7th day.

I think what some people do not understand is the Sabbath was ordained by God on the seventh day for ever .
It was included in the law because of transgressions against the Sabbath and to educate men the importance of Keeping the Sabbath. It was a death penalty you do realize ? for breaking it , so to take it lightly is a major error already. No where in scripture does the Sabbath cease to be even in the new world .
The only way a person can fulfill the law is by being led by the Spirit of God , not by any way of the flesh and circumcision was required for that . The law was to help us learn we cannot obey God by keeping his law . But by the Spirit of God we can and beyond that as well . So there is a law of sin and a law of the Spirit .
We must receive the Spirit and the right one as well . There is a spirit of iniquity and it thrives in sin . The Apostate church is powered by this spirit and is known as the whore that rides the dragon . The Spirit of truth leads us into all truth . The spirit of iniquity does not but finds its own ways being deceived and having pleasure in unrighteousness. The NT is full of warnings . Even in the Apostles time the spirit of iniquity did already work according to Paul . Like Jesus said many will come in my name and deceive Many ! So seek the Bible and find out if it’s so what you are being told ! Deception is the first warning Jesus gave in Matthew 24 , Luke 21 . According to Jude it was the watering down of grace that was the main problem forseen by him , the past did have some trying to force new believers back to the fleshly keeping of the law . So it’s the Spirit of God that sets us free from both extremes , one of bondage to the law , and the other of lawlessness. Neither Gods way . The straight and narrow way according to Jesus is his way . A few thoughts I hope it helps someone!

It’s interesting to me that the RCC really seems to have taken over the role of deception, at first it was the disobeying Jews effecting the church trying to bring in the law upon early believers, the Apostle Paul’s main opposition where Jews . He even called them the enemy of the Gospel at one time . But history reveals that the Jews almost got totally eliminated by the Romans . So that threat really was reduced a lot . But when the RCC got started they became the new threat to the believers. They were incredibly cruel towards those that opposed them as where the Jews . So it’s not really so much the Unbelieving Jews any more but a perverted Christianity begun by RCC , many have realized this . But also many went astray in other ways . And the only real trustworthy source is the word of God , and with the help of the Holy Spirit he can show us inconsistency in the translations , that all have some errors . But I have found God can over come them . One of my favourite verses Jesus said I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail! Amen .

If the Torah is not for the entire human race, then Jesus Christ can not put any but an Israelite, to death.
It is the Torah commands with the penalty of death that gives God the legal right for the death penalty, if the gentiles are not subject to the Torah, then they can not be legally put to death.
You reject the clear teaching of God's word as revealed in the New Testament. The Law is for dead people. I'm alive in Christ. I live by the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus.
The letter of the Law kills, the Spirit gives life.
you are correct the Torah is for dead people, those that refuse to obey are legally put to death by Torah law.
With out the Torah and the law of sin there would be no penalty of death for sinners.

Silly comment. Do you not know that every human being is born dead in trespass and sin? Death reigned in mankind a couple of thousand years before the Law was handed down, from the moment that Adam disobeyed God. Physical death is the final consequence of spiritual death.
God said, "Hear O Israel", not "hear O gentiles". Gentiles cannot be punished under the Law because God did not give them the law.
I live under the New Covenant, of grace, not law. If I break a law in Australia that applies only in America, I cannot be prosecuted. My citizenship is in heaven, not in Israel. So not observing the sabbath is not breaking the law for me. It was never given to me.
It seemed good not to burden them with anything else according to the Holy Spirit but it seems you would like to add to that list...
