I recently requested prayer from a prayer warrior friend of mine (via text) but he didn't read it for many hours. He felt bad for the delay but do you feel the Lord honors the effort and intention of simply asking for prayer?
Just wondering if there are any biblical examples you can think of and/or your overall thoughts
Me and my wife were driving home one day and I wanted the lord to help her faith. So I started to pray.. to ask for something right then right now something impossible. Why? no clue its just the thought I had. So I started to pray and stopped right after I started.. I thought and said.. you already know what I was going to ask for you already set in motion the answer before I even prayed. What I asked was something real people had real free choice and would have taken hours if not days to fulfill this answer. In about 10min He answered it exactly as I asked.
The point is.. OT Isa Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear. He said in Psa The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.
So even though your friend may have answered late.. your Father already heard you. Its wonderful wise to have more then one praying.. its not in hope our heavenly Father will hear more then one. Hello GOD? Lol. Its who we fight against.. as in Daniel Gab said.. God heard you the moment you prayed and answered yet the enemy stopped Gab for 21 days and Gab had to call on Michael.
So never wonder 'if" God will hear you. He always does.. pray His word...find what you need in His word.. for what GOD already said and promised HE will do there is no .. NO. What so ever you desire when you pray believe you receive it you shall have it. OT Delight your self in the lord He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Him trust (Faith) in Him and He will do it.
We tend to put time clock on God and ..well 1 min went by.. 10days 1 week 5 months and we stop.. we doubt. Like praying for job.. you need a job.. need work. You pray.. you remind Him .. you said you supply all my needs, you said "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread." "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." just a few.
So know as He said in His word.. if we know He hears us when we pray we know we have the petitions we asked for. We ask for things according to what He already promised. He said.. I came to give you life and give it more abundantly . its not what I say here.. don't believe me.. you pray you seek you find what He said .. you find this truth for your self.
