Sorry it's not very controversial
Bur it's at the root of Christian living
Well at least that's my experience
Maybe I'm wrong and the "important" matters should focus on the end times
Or the anti Christ
But I respectfully agree to differ
The real battle is individual and is not something or someone out there
Nope
It's neither
Trump
Nor Iran
It's internal
And for the scripture enlighteners there's no shortage to satisfy your tendancy to "teach" rather than to be more edifying and share your struggles
Even the mighty Paul wasn't afraid of that

To tame the tongue one needs to delay a speech reflex. Rather than saying whatever we are driven to by our feelings, we should first try listening to it in out mind.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

God wants us to become a perfect man in our walk with Christ.

Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Jas 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Jas 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

The tongue is the most unruly member of the body.

If a person can tame the tongue then they will have no problem taming the rest of the body and become a perfect man.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

But no person can tame the tongue so God has to tame the tongue.

Some people deny the Spirit and will not be a perfect man.

The tongue controls the whole body like a rutter on a ship . brittle bit quick to listen slow to speak .But sometime the Holy spirit speak very quick and watch how puffy can't answer lol
