Everyday i am suffering from guilt and delusion I have masturbated for ten years from age 12 to 22 from 1999-2009 and since 2002 I am having wet dreams regularly. Now I am 39 years old and my daughter is 7 my daughter has hypothyroidism and thyroid agenesis i think due to my masturbation and nocturnal semen emissions my daughter is suffering from hypothyroidism she has no thyroid gland every 2 to 3 months she goes to blood test it gives me so much pain seeing her in that state. When my wife was pregnant I had fight with my wife and family i think this affected my wife pregnancy and so my daughter has missing thyroid gland. Also I have suffered from ocd, depression and ocd compulsive masturbation for many years. I don't have any other child and I don't know what to do. Please help

There is no medical logic linking your previous habitual practice that would affect the medical condition of your daughter.
There are many persons that have serious thyroid issues but, fortunately, these can be treated with medication and various forms of non-invasive treatment.
I have OCD too and have learned, over time, how to effectively cope with it and you can too. This comes about by prayer, practice, and determination. Also, have suffered from depression for years, but with prayer and contemplation, usually are able to go to sleep at night with peace in my mind and joy in my heart.
My counsel is to start each day with prayer for God's will to be accomplished in your life and for the you to be delivered from the cloud of depression that is hovering over you.
I pray that you will find comfort, support, and understanding from the members of this site. This site has been a tremendous blessing for me and it can, by the grace of God, become a blessing for you and your family as well.

Hi Monty glad the Lord led you to post here now, welcome to CC! My suggestion 'Ephesians 4:27 states: "and do not give the devil a foothold" (NIV). In context, the verse warns believers that harboring unresolved anger or engaging in sinful behavior provides Satan with an opportunity to cause division and moral ruin in their lives'. You need to drown out all lustful thoughts by replacing them with God's word. There are 8 hr long sleep tapes with Bible verses and/or audible books of the Bible to listen to at night. U r blaming yourself for your daughter's condition because u feel unworthy and guilty because of your behaviour . This is your own low self esteem that is telling u that u r responsible for your daughter's health problem , it's not an actual fact . As stressful as it is to c your baby go through these things , b encouraged , many children start life with lifelong health problems and they cope very well with them , it's the parents that find it the most stressful , usually because they mistakenly blame themselves .
We all have our imperfections and weaknesses and b assured that God knows us all , better than we know ourselves . He still loves us , He still loves u . There is always a way to move forward with Him , He never shuts the door in our face .
U sounds very stressed and this is understandable in your circumstances . How does your wife cope with this situation ? Is she generally stronger than u ? Or does she very much need your support ? U and your wife might consider some counseling to help u come to terms with your daughter's problem and , some practical help might b good too . Are your daughter's grandparents involved with her ? Can they help u out with her ? U and your wife must find ways to grow and support each other so that your relationship gets stronger , so u can b a support to each other . Grow together and , grow together in the love of God . Find a church , read your Bible and pray together . Lean on your God , He wants u to and He will help u both and cheer u up when u start to c His love in your life . Don't b downhearted , God isn't going anywhere , He will b with u always
learn to recognise His love in your life .
