Let's speak plainly on this passage.its should shed used in New testament light on prophecy
lies of the elders

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

I believe the Holy Spirit speaks only to the individual soul; not to nations or governments. The Holy Spirit can change a king and the king can change a nation, but the Holy Spirit only comes by individual faith in Christ. A believing king cannot change a wicked nation, they can only work to facilitate the faith of others.

Souls saved as stated, with signs, wonders and miracles that FOLLOW, (no seeking) "them that believe", "by faith" (Gal 3:5).

This scripture probably was only known by a few men until after The Holy Spirit open the eyes.mind you one scriptures was memorized per week.so they know the Words but missed the prophet and the prophecy

Use the Gospel and use OT to what they were talking about pay attn to the towns names also

religious leaders missed the prophecies and made major factual errors due to their own arrogance and prejudice. Biblical Scholars generally Agree that the Pharisees were not intentionally lying to Jesus' face in this moment, but rather spoke out of deep ignorance, blindness, and regional bias.

That not really saying much about the script to behold above that one script backs slot NT that was spoke in the Everylasting Gospel
