Amen! I love the parable of the Prodigal Son. He threw away his inheritance but he returned to his father. 🙌

this is called repentance, which is a requirement for every human that has lived, is living now and will live
in the future.

God the Father and Jesus Christ will never allow sinners into Their Family and sin IS the transgression of the Torah.

We have warnings upon warnings of who will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Be diligent. Be discerning.

All believers ENTER the kingdom of God, But Not all will INHERIT the kingdom of God.....See the difference?

Those who believe "inheritance" is the same as "entrance"........will have to sit through a few years of study in the eternal state to get it figured out.

Just caught your comment and felt the need to reply.

17These people are as useless as dried-up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness. 18They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With an appeal to twisted sexual desires, they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception. 19They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you. 20And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.
21It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and
then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.

22They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.”g And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

So I would assume you believe once a person repents and is baptized and obeys and lives a Holy life, if they return to sin "willfully" and will not repent -- God is still going to allow this unrepentant sinner in to His family? Nope!

I hope I have misunderstood and if I have please forgive me.
You are already part of the family......DEAL with it. You are a Brother/Sister in Christ.

Sad that you are so willing to call brothers and sisters dogs and pigs........You may return to those activities, but you always remain a part of the family.

We will teach you how you are/were QUENCHING the Spirit when we reach the eternal state.

loss/forfeit/walk away from salvation believers are USELESS, dried up and blow with the wind.

That’s the free grace view and not the traditional view from what I’ve read. Also it says the enter and inherit is synonymous

You just called us useless so you’re not calling us brethren? I don’t divide over this. I know my Calvinist brothers and sisters are family and don’t ever call them anything other than that. Have a blessed evening or day wherever you are! 😁

He squandered his inheritance on loose living, but the conclusion of the parable shows that his father held him in his heirship.

I love the KJV , best of the best translations. So are some other translations ok but once the English of the KJV is appreciated it’s hard to like other translations. The KJV has errors in it as do all others . When you read it eventually some verses just do not fit the major body of scripture. Thats how I found some errors in it . It’s the Holy Spirit that makes the difference . He opens up our understanding if we seek the truth . I have been reading the Bible for over 50 yrs . Truly the living word of God .
Learn to listen to it and your understanding will grow . Don’t try to figure it out so much . Avoid books on the Bible , let the Bible be your bible . Ask God for wisdom and understanding, etc …

Poor unbelievers.

Calvies~~You can't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

Armins/Catholics/religion~~ The Lord Jesus Christ can't really save you......It's just "potential."

But the son returned to his father. How could his father hold out his hands if he didn’t see his son returning back to him? It’s an active faith and it’s conditional. If the son did not return then he would not enter his fathers arms and back home again 🥰

Useless BROTHER. Loser believer.

Saved, but have NOTHING to offer the family or unbelievers.

Salvation is equal opportunity and privilege for ALL.......And It is permanent, secure and eternal.

Acts 16:31~~John 5:24.

Evidence of fruit in our lives is nothing to offer? 🤨

How could he return to his father.........If his father was no longer his father?

I think we have a communication problem lol 😆
No, it's not a communication problem. You must be new to the logical problems of "Loss of salvation."

The Kid and the Father are dead to each other. No longer son. No longer father. ...Return to a natural man means knowing nothing.

The Kid wouldn't even know who his father is and the Father would even know who his kid is.

The kid would just be guessing about any random, closely aged male to be his father.

Do you understand what "losing salvation" really entails?.......I think not.

That is the coldest interpretation I’ve ever read

The other son didn't appreciate his father's love any better that his prodigal brother. He whined about not ever getting a fatted calf roast party thrown for him for staying home the entire time. And to this day, he is still being ignored in this parable while the prodigal 'outshines' him. Lol. When he cried about his father throwing the party for his brother, his father effectively told him that he could've celebrated at any time he'd have liked, if it weren't for his having been so preoccupied with being the 'good' enough to get such an honor. Afterall, the father didn't throw the party to honor the prodigal son, he threw the party because he was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found.

This is argued as evidence for the loss of salvation, but I don't see how anyone can lose something if they know where it is, and it's always been there waiting for them. If the father had assumed him as dead, then I gather that he wasn't expecting his return, and so the exceeding joy at seeing his return. So, I'm not convinced that this parable is meant to teach any loss of salvation as much as it teaches the father's regard for granting his children their own will. In spite of the degree that the father's own will for them is to joyfully abide with him, he doesn't want to hold anyone captive while knowing they 'believe' they'd be happier without him, so he suffers them to go, even to such an extent, as his wisdom is fully aware, that it would result in their own hurt.

Is this really a parable of a "born saved, become unsaved, and then get saved again" teaching?

Whatever. Loss of salvation puts the son in the Lake of Fire......IF?

Grace and mercy has him as a son ALWAYS.

Loss of salvation never ceases to be the COLDEST.
