You're in my prayers. Be there for him and pray for him. You need strong boundaries for it to work and the strength to be a reliable rock. He will need the help of professionals with his condition together with his will to overcome it in the long run..... I'll join you in prayer that he receives God again and feels His comforting right hand on his life. I pray that you do too, so you can both come through this unscathed. May God guide you as a helper and Richard as a mental health sufferer. God can get anyone through anything, may He soften Richard's heart to His word and stir up the Spirit in him, in Jesus' name, amen.

I was able to lead him to a simple version of the sinners prayer today and inviting the Holy Spirit in his life. He was able to do it, so maybe he isn't fully possessed by demons but is just mentally sick. I still believe they are attacking him as we all suffer spiritual attacks.
He is a little bit better but I had to talk to him for hours and hours like a shrink and get bombarded with 1000 texts. I'm holding up OK, but tired from the lack of good sleep.

Here is an update. After calling me this morning we spoke for like 2 full hours, basically being a listener to this and that and him babbling, I thought everything was good. 5 hours later he calls me again and he is a full manic mode again. I told him I couldn't talk and he left 5 messages, after about 10 min I called him back but he was soo agitate and basically went off on me. Seriously, this I need to cut him off (ghost) not block for my own sanity for a little bit. God please help me with my patience, but also help my friend also.
It's only been a few days and I'm at my limit.

I’m praying for you @jacko , that seems very unsafe. Sometimes ghosting is the safest way. I looked up when ghosting is necessary and ghosting is mostly necessary when things can potentially get really dangerous and you feel unsafe.

Can you go with him to some type of recovery meeting? Or direct him there? Does he have
any substance abuse issues? That is a door he may be willing to walk through. Or? Before
I was willing to publicly acknowledge my substance addictions I was willing to acknowledge
other things, and Emotions Anonymous was my first 12 step recovery program. They are world
wide also. I suggest these things because there is a saying: we carry the message, not the mess.
Right now it sounds like you are carrying the mess. He needs help and kudos to you for being there
for him, but he needs more than what you can give (not saying anything against you) and a long term plan.

He lives in South San Diego and not that close to me. Also, I haven't seen him in person for over 10-15 years and I'm not sure how comfortable with a face to face interaction at least for now and on my own. I think I can get him so of the 24/7 help hotlines he can call into might help. Today he hasn't called or text, and hopefully he has calmed down. The last message he left on my cell was a number for his sister in Hawaii and to call her in 7 days and do a welfare check if he doesn't hear from him. So sad.
Mental and brain health is no joke. Look at Bruce Willis and how he ended up and this is a mega movie star with all the resources in the world.

Definitely sounds like bipolar disease, he will need a proper diagnosis and care. My wife has been diagnosed with this and the rapid turn and explosive natures of the turns are characteristic of her condition. It's essential she's never left alone and certainly not with the children.
I pray Richard is able to receive the help he requires. May God soften his heart and guide him to full mental health and healthy relationships with those around Him, in Jesus' name, amen.

It takes a good heart to be there for someone in such need, may God help you too, Jacko and make the burden a light one. Be blessed and strengthened, in Jesus' name, amen.
When they're doing well, they're a different person, but the turns can be horrible. Sometimes they just rant and tire themselves out, falling asleep shortly after. They often calm down if someone is listening. Just make sure you're never in any physical danger. I think phone calls should remain the safest option.
You'll remain in my prayers
