That is why we vote. We don't have to trust politicians. If they get in and don't do what they promise, vote them out. Simple. Someone has to be in office. So go and vote and trust God to take care of the rest.

I don't know who made the photo of Trump as Jesus, but Trump shared it on Truth Social back in May. He only took it down after much backlash.

Believe me, I understand the voting process. My concern is for those who obsess over politicians as if they were God. If you walked in my shoes, then you would know what I am talking about. I have met many people just like this, and I genuinely fear for them.

Last time I checked, He wasn't running for office. Trump will be out in 2 yrs? Who will you vote for then, assuming you're American.
No politician is a savior. But someone will take office. And if we don't vote we could find ourselves under an actual dictator. Then some will be wishing they stopped making excuses and got out and voted.
Thank you for answering. To me this is becoming less and less about Trump. He's on his way out, someone else will become "Hitler" in his place. The values I voted for I had before Trump. If Trump refused to leave office, as they all claimed he would, I wouldn't have agreed with that. But I see the left has gone beyond being left. Now we have a man running in Maine with a Nazi tattoo. I don't care what he puts on his body, it's his heart that worries me. All in all God has this in control. But I believe a lot of the old Dems have been forced to leave the party. It can happen on the right too. The left has passed into territory that all my Christian Dem friends can no longer defend and have changed parties. Christians have to stand for the policies that are as close to the Bible as possible. Therefore no Christian can vote Dem. But we have to make sure radicals don't take over the conservatives also. Satan has forced Christians into a place where they have to stand up on many social issues that never came up in voting before. These things didn't touch our lives like they do today. Somehow we need to stay above the fray and still stand for what is right. I appreciate your POV.

I know that we don't live in a Theocracy, but that was God's intention from the beginning. Furthermore, this world will ultimately be governed by Christ himself when he returns to this earth. With these things in mind, is it problematic to you or others that I choose to live my life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ without focusing on earthly men or women in politics? Believe me, I am familiar with all of the verses pertaining to worldly government, so there is no need for anyone to quote them. If people want to spend their time and energy fighting in the political realm, then let them. As for me, I try to live in the spiritual realm where my focus is on the souls of men, women, and children, and not politics. And, yes, I am an American, not that it really matters to me. My allegiance is to Christ, and not to any country.

This will just open up another can of worms, but I am only going to make this one comment on this particular topic. If people want to roast me for it, then so be it. I will not defend either my position or myself no matter how anyone may respond.
Personally, I have a very hard time believing that people who readily back wars in which many innocents are killed are Christians. Especially since most, if not all, of these same people would never get off of their lazy butts and preach the gospel to these same people that they might be saved. That's about it on that topic.

Would you rather see them wiped off of the face of the earth through bombings and the like, or would you rather go and preach the gospel to them that they might be saved?
If several of you were to answer this question honestly, then it should cause you to question whether or not you are even in the faith.
