The speaker asks the fair question the West keeps avoiding: how long can democratic governments keep pretending to negotiate in good faith with a regime that lies that openly, with that level of documented evidence?

CENTCOM said the Wednesday strikes hit Iranian air defense systems, radar sites, and ground-control infrastructure along the country’s southern coast, continuing what officials described as a rolling campaign to degrade Iran’s ability to target U.S. forces and disrupt shipping in the Gulf.

The operation followed Tuesday night strikes that initiated the first wave of retaliation, making Wednesday the second straight night of American air operations against Iranian military targets tied to the Apache incident.

President Donald Trump, in comments reported earlier Wednesday, said Iran had “played us for suckers” and warned that additional U.S. strikes were coming later in the day if Tehran did not change course.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth separately signaled that U.S. forces would continue striking “key facilities” in Iran, saying operations would proceed at a time and place chosen by American commanders.
Iran sharply condemned the new strikes, accusing Washington of “aggression” and warning that it would expand its own retaliatory attacks against U.S. forces and regional allies if the bombing campaign continued.

The escalation was triggered after a U.S. Army Apache helicopter went down near the Strait of Hormuz during a patrol earlier this week, prompting an emergency rescue of its crew and immediate U.S. retaliatory planning.

Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst got off the phone with President Trump early Wednesday and brought back an exclusive that should recalibrate where this Iran confrontation stands. Trump didn’t just discuss what happened. He told Yingst what he’s thinking about doing next.

Not making progress. Not signaling movement. Deliberately running out the clock while U.S. patience is finite. Trump’s read: the talks are a stall, not a negotiation.
During the ceasefire window, the picture on the ground got worse before Trump said it. U.S. airpower hit Iranian radar systems and air defense sites overnight — because the Iranians had been quietly trying to rebuild those capabilities during the pause. He is working with federal prosecutors at DOJ and with Attorney General Todd Blanch. He says they have everything they need.
The backstory, in Patel’s telling: When he took over the FBI, he found things that shouldn’t exist. Literally. 𝐀 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐁𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮’𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬, locked and hidden from the world. Inside: thousands of sensitive documents stored in burn bags — materials supposed to be d∗stroyed, apparently stashed instead. The documents were related to the Trump-Russia investigation. Someone at the FBI built a system with one purpose: making sure certain information never surfaced.

At least one arrest has already happened. Carmen Lineberger, a former DOJ U.S. Attorney, was 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩 and emailing them to a personal account. Patel says this is only the beginning. The broader conspiracy — connecting the manufactured 2016 Russia intelligence, the 2020 election interference, and the multi-year criminal prosecution of a former and current president — is what prosecutors are building toward.

Today Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong pleaded guilty in federal court.
For nearly 20 years she paid homeless people $2-$3 cash to register to vote and sign petitions on Skid Row in Los Angeles.
She encouraged them to use fake addresses.
Because California automatically mails a ballot to every registered voter, those ballots were sent to addresses where the homeless individuals never lived.
James O'Keefe caught her on hidden camera.
The DOJ prosecuted her.
She just pleaded guilty.

NEWSOM THREATENS TRUMP AND AMERICANS WITH PRISON FOR QUESTIONING CALIFORNIA ELECTIONS – "FAFO, DONALD"
California Governor Gavin Newsom just posted a direct shot at President Trump and anyone who questions how elections are run in his state.
“Trump says voter fraud should land people in prison. Agreed,” Newsom wrote. “And let’s start with the politicians spreading election lies with the goal of illegally interfering with counting ballots. In California, I just signed a law making that punishable with up to 3 years behind bars. More to come. FAFO, Donald.”
The bill he’s bragging about is SB 73. On paper it strengthens rules against unauthorized access to voter rolls, voting systems, and physical interference with ballots and election workers — with penalties up to three years in prison for things like knowingly taking voted ballots from officials.
But Newsom is clearly stretching it far beyond that. He’s framing “spreading election lies” and undermining confidence in elections as potential crimes under this law. That’s a huge leap from the actual text, which targets physical interference and unauthorized seizures — not political speech or skepticism.
This comes right after California’s recent open primary, where mail-in ballot counting dragged on for days and flipped results in races like the LA mayoral contest. Trump and millions of Americans have raised legitimate concerns about mail-in voting security, chain of custody, and extended counting windows for years. Newsom’s response isn’t to fix those issues — it’s to threaten jail time for questioning them.
Critics see this as classic lawfare: use the power of the state to chill speech and intimidate political opponents. Questioning election processes has been standard in American politics for decades. Suddenly, in California, it might get you labeled an “election-denier” facing prison time if a politician decides your words “interfered” with counting.
Newsom ends with “More to come.” That’s the real message. Not protecting elections — but putting a target on anyone who doesn’t trust the system the way Gavin Newsom demands.
The First Amendment exists for a reason. Threatening prison for political speech isn’t defending democracy. It’s attacking it.

He is working with federal prosecutors at DOJ and with Attorney General Todd Blanch. He says they have everything they need.
The backstory, in Patel’s telling: When he took over the FBI, he found things that shouldn’t exist. Literally. 𝐀 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐅𝐁𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐮’𝐬 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬, locked and hidden from the world. Inside: thousands of sensitive documents stored in burn bags — materials supposed to be d∗stroyed, apparently stashed instead. The documents were related to the Trump-Russia investigation. Someone at the FBI built a system with one purpose: making sure certain information never surfaced.

At least one arrest has already happened. Carmen Lineberger, a former DOJ U.S. Attorney, was 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩 and emailing them to a personal account. Patel says this is only the beginning. The broader conspiracy — connecting the manufactured 2016 Russia intelligence, the 2020 election interference, and the multi-year criminal prosecution of a former and current president — is what prosecutors are building toward.

Projected breakdown:

They only need one (about 7%) of those tossups to secure the majority.

Today Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong pleaded guilty in federal court.
For nearly 20 years she paid homeless people $2-$3 cash to register to vote and sign petitions on Skid Row in Los Angeles.
She encouraged them to use fake addresses.
Because California automatically mails a ballot to every registered voter, those ballots were sent to addresses where the homeless individuals never lived.
James O'Keefe caught her on hidden camera.
The DOJ prosecuted her.
She just pleaded guilty.
"False registrations undermine Americans' faith in elections, even more so when payoffs are involved."
Those aren't my words. That's the Assistant Attorney General of the United States.
