And when you get done with your 40-day fast, you can feed 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes, raise dead people, and walk an the Sea of Galilee.

Or not, because you don’t understand what it means to follow Jesus’ step
He suffered greatly for following the word of God and not the ways of man. We should try to be as godly as possible, like Christ was. He gave us the example to follow and we are to do our best

Is there anyone here who can testify that they have fulfilled the forty days and forty nights of fasting in the same manner that the Lord Jesus fulfilled it in carrying out His role as the Son of the Living God?

Let us not forget the Lord Jesus’ instruction to Simon Peter. As our model, we should follow in His footsteps.
1 PETER 2:21
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Fasting was commanded by the Lord God to His chosen people so that they could fulfill it. The Lord Jesus, in His role as the Son of the Living God, fulfilled it through His forty days and forty nights of fasting. Why, then, has it been preached and required by some ministers in a purely literal and physical sense? They have relied on their own understanding to interpret the command (similar to the devil's understanding), even though it is extremely impossible to fulfill it literally.

Why was the devil's literal and physical interpretation followed?
Did they not read that the Lord God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat the forbidden fruit?
He told them that on the day they ate it, they would surely die.
Yet they did not die physically on that very day. This shows that God's words were not meant to be understood only in a literal, physical sense.

GENESIS 2:16-17
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

GENESIS 3:4

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Therefore, the Lord God's command regarding fasting is not meant to be understood in a literal, physical sense, but in a spiritual sense.
ROMANS 7:14

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

You do not truly understand what you are saying, for your knowledge of the Lord Jesus is derived merely from human understanding. Therefore, you fail to recognize who Jesus is, the One who fasted for forty days and forty nights.
Nor do you recognize the Jesus who fed the multitudes and raised Lazarus from the dead.
Therefore, the Jesus you know is the physical Jesus, not the spiritual Jesus.

The Lord Jesus is exposing you for what you are, a false prophet.

Your empty assertions about me are based on nothing other than profound ignorance, both personal and scriptural.

I recall casting out demons and some demons didn't GO .Jesus said in the order of these types of demons ,need fasting and prayer . I also recall Jesus being grieved by how long he must be with them that they still have not learn or know what they have All have to remember the disciples we're operating underin Jesus Authority, they have yet to .have the Holy Spirit in them .maybe fast by taming the tongue because Its words of the spirit to have authority not men words of defile and add death, if any want the truth

Yes, no one can truly shed light on how the Lord Jesus practiced fasting (even the real chosen of God) except the Lord Himself. He is able to reveal the truth about fasting to those who ask with humility. However, when fasting is understood according to the devil's interpretation, that is, only in a literal or physical sense, the Lord will no longer reveal the deeper truth about it. For to understand fasting merely in a literal way and to fulfill it only literally is an act of pride before God.

True understanding comes from seeking God's revelation with a humble heart rather than relying solely on human interpretation.

Any word that comes from you is not the truth. Therefore, it has no foundation for salvation. Only the Lord God can reveal the truth, and I believe in His revelation concerning you, for that is the truth.

Through God's revelation, He exposes false prophets who force people to observe fasting in a literal, physical sense, even though it is extremely impossible to sustain for 40 days and 40 nights in literal physical.

It is not impossible. Your ignorance is the problem.

The Lord knows what we don't and undertstands everything better than us... True

You claim no one can shed light on how Jesus fasted, but then suggest that belief that it was literal comes from the devil. How do you shed this light? Did it come from asking with a humble heart? (Real question, not a gotcha question)

I don't see it as an act of pride to take something literally in the Bible, much of the Bible is literal, as I'm sure you know

It is not impossible. Your ignorance is the problem.

Since no one has ever truly completed a 40-day and 40-night fast, that means no one has actually tried it.
You said that it is possible to follow a 40-day and 40-night fast literally.
If you claim that a literal 40-day and 40-night fast is possible, can you honestly say that you have personally completed a 40-day and 40-night fast yourself? Is that why you are saying it is possible?

Jesus is Lord.

Simply saying 'Jesus is Lord' does not automatically make it true.
MATTHEW 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

According to people's belief, fasting is a plain and clear word or command from the Lord God.
Therefore, they observe it literally and physically, since that is the only way people are able to understand God's words.
However, the truth is that it is not a plain statement but a parable. The Lord God intentionally made it a dark saying to test people whether they would humbly ask God for understanding, or whether they would refuse to ask because they assume they already understand it.

You are very certain regarding things about which you know nothing..

You said that it is possible to follow a 40-day and 40-night fast literally.

Logic clearly has eluded you.

There is no test you can present that proves your error to be truth.

1 John ch 4 . How to test the spirits . It’s not hard but you must be grounded in truth . Some simple truth . God is spirit .
Jesus is a man . The Christ is a man . Do some research if not certain . It’s a test of the spirit of truth . Those in error always fail the test . But testing requires some knowledge of truth . It’s not a simple 1+1 + 1 =3 question. But some times it can be . Study 1 John ch 3 , 4, 5 excellent for those grounded in truth .

How can you claim that this is possible when you haven't done it yourself?

If you have never completed a 40-day and 40-night fast yourself, yet you say it is possible, then you are seriously misleading people.

How pitiful are the people who believe your words. They are like the blind being led by the blind; both will fall into the ditch.
MATTHEW 15:14
14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Wrong. It’s not a parable. Your self-delusion is blinding you to the plain truth of Scripture.
