Last night, I did what you suggested. This morning, I noticed three missed calls from my co-workers. Apparently, they had attempted to bother me again. I slept pretty good last night. Hopefully, I will make it through my workday without any incidents. Thanks for your suggestion.
I'm glad that worked out for you. I don't like the interruptions so I'm pretty strict with when I let my phone interrupt me, and mom is the only person who can get through during sleeping time, everyone else has to wait.

Thanks very much for keeping us posted.

I really hope the new job that close to your location will work out!! :)

Here's a very blessed interview on Monday! 🙏🏼
The things that happen to me make me wonder. About 55 minutes ago, the power went down where I am working. Apparently, there was a car accident involving a pole, and some electric wires went down. I not only can't cook without power, but the store also put shrink wrap around all of the freezer doors to try and preserve the cold, so I don't even have access to my product to sell it. I also cannot prepare my leftover inventory to be shipped when my show ends today. Other than that, everything is going smoothly.

Just another day in paradise.

My friend got enrolled, and there were a few others with her too.
She signed a commitment, there was a declaration or question to follow Jesus (they all said 'I do') covenant. There were prayers and she read a scripture, hers was from Romans 12:2
Yes they talked about being called. If God does call you, be ready to say YES.
Also, does it not say, many are called few are chosen.
So the invitation could be for anyone to come, but from those that do, few are chosen. They're the ones that are willing to be faithful and accept what God calls them to do. It can be big things, it can be small things, whatever it is, be ready to obey and do it. And if you think you can't, God gives you grace anyway...He'll equip you, or He'll find something else for you to do, as He's calling people all the time. Then once you start doing it...it just becomes part of who you are.

Loved this insight, @Lanolin!!!

I couldn't agree more.

@passion84god -- from the answers I've seen you give to people (particularly in a certain thread,) you are a very effective toenail!!!

You are helping to guard and protect people's feet as they continue to walk forward in Christ. :)
Perhaps, but if anybody tries to put nail polish on me, then I might have to ask them to step outside. 😛

I'm coming to the conclusion that I think God gives us all a calling and a purpose -- to develop our relationship with Him over our lifetime, to follow and obey what He wants us to do, and to serve and to witness to other people.
That sounds about right.
The Bible says Moses was the most humble person on earth.
I know, but the funny thing is that Moses wrote that.

I did read your entire post, and I basically agree with everything that you said. I do have some insights of my own to add, but I am really tired right now, so I probably shouldn't offer them until I am sharper mentally. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I appreciate it.

@cinder

What is that a picture of in your avatar? It almost looks like a celestial dog or something, but I can't make it out.

Hey, one more thing. I sincerely want to apologize to everyone for talking so much about my job. I was thinking about that at work today, and I felt really bad about it. I normally don't harp on any topic, especially not of a personal nature. I've just been really tired lately, and when I get that way, I sometimes go on about certain things that I normally wouldn't talk about. Anyhow, I am aware of it, and I truly do want to apologize.

Venting and listening to others vent is the main reason many of us come here.

No need to apologize and keep feeling free to share.

This is how friendships here are born. 🙂

Yes.

I've read debates about the fact that Moses wrote that he was the most humble man in the world.

This is just my own personal opinion, but I have always thought that if it wasn't something God wanted said, the Holy Spirit would have prevented Moses from writing that.

After all, the Bible says that the Word of God was written as men were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

But, that's just my own viewpoint, and I could very well be wrong.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post! 🙂

I definitely agree that it was Holy Ghost inspired. I was just being silly.

Did Moses actually write the Books of Moses or were they just his books, or books about him.
I mean Ruth didn't write the Book of Ruth.
It seems to me that either Naomi or Boaz wrote it, and of course, if. Boaz wrote it, he'd want to portray himself in a good light.
Jesus didn't write any books as far as we know but he told a lot of parables. Which were made into books. I don't think he had time to write them, he was to busy doing other stuff, like healing and casting out demons and moving mountains etc.

I'd imagine the Books of Moses were ghostwritten, and then called the Books of Moses because they featured him as the hero, or the chosen one to take the ten commandments down from Mt Sinai. Moses didn't even speak, he stuttered and didn't like public speaking, brother Aaron had to speak for him.

Anyway, Moses was only called up when he was older, in his 40s, so maybe a lot of us have to wait to hear from God I don't think it happens so much to young people, Samuel and David being the exception. Jesus had to wait he was about 30 to enter into his ministry. And he would always say if people tried to push him 'my time has not yet come'. So you could be an early starter or a late starter. I mean very few young people really know what they are meant to do once they leave school either. Yes find a job, but which one? Or further study, but what field?

You're welcome. I've read many of your posts, and we seem to be on the same wavelength.

I'm still not feeling my sharpest mentally, but I will try to quickly explain how I view my own calling. First, I am really not into numbers, but, then again, I am. I will try to explain what I mean by that. The angels in heaven rejoice when one sinner repents, so each individual obviously matters. In scripture, I see Philip ministering to a multitude and then being led by the Spirit to an individual in a chariot. Again, every individual matters to God. The only reason that I am into numbers when it comes to ministry is because of how I view the world in which we presently live. From my vantage point, I see evil advancing at tremendous rates, and it is negatively affecting the whole world, whether or not people are consciously aware of it. Seeing how evil is having such a worldwide affect, I believe that it needs to be countered with some sort of worldwide ministering of the gospel. I am fully aware that there are Christians scattered across the globe, but I am also fully aware that what I would call "another gospel" is prevalent too. I am a single guy with really no attachments to this world. In other words, no real family or pretty much no real reason to live except for Christ. I am just trying to free my life from the distractions that have crept in so I can spend quality time with God, especially in prayer, and hopefully be used in a greater capacity to minister the gospel to others. I should add that I fully understand that if I should ever be used in such a capacity, then much persecution would accompany it and possibly even death. For me, I would rather die trying to reach others than to just live a meaningless life of my own. That's about it. Like I said, I am not at my sharpest mentally right now because I am still pretty tired, so I hope that came out right and made some sense.

It's a bit of some deep space nebula that was part of one of the windows theme packs. And once I saw the face I couldn't unsee it.
Thank you for clarifying that for me. What face do you see? It looks like a dog to me.

Looks kind of like a Bane face to me. Have you fed it any venom lately?
