Correct me IF I'm wrong, but doesn't something have to die to be resurrected?

Yes, which is what you said regarding our spirits. God gave us a spirit at birth but it became as if dead (non-functional) because of sin. Therefore it needed an "injection of life", so to speak. That makes it a resurrection, not a birth. Birth is when new life, that wasn't in the world, comes into the world.

How can we know?

For that is how the body of Jesus was conceived.
We know he had no fallen nature.
Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.

Hebrews 10:5
You gave as a reference Gen. 3:15 to prove your point, and it's not anywhere in that passage of scripture. Again, where is it in THAT passage of scripture?

Key words from you " as if dead ". That would be a revitalization , not a resurrection.

It is not about "what part" is born again.
It is the entire man who is born again.
For it is the change in the man's function that takes place with the second birth.

His first birth?

He was born only body and soul.
He was born as an natural human being.

The second birth?
He is then given a human spirit.
With his human spirit?
He then becomes one who is now able to comprehend the Bible truths as reality.

The renewing of the mind is a process enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit
by activating Bible truths, that have been stored in our human spirit, into transforming our ways of thinking.
" It is the entire man who is born again." So, with that reasoning. if the " entire man " was born again that would have to include his body, as Nicodemus thought, but we know that isn't true. " And the very God of peace sanctify you WHOLLY(ENTIRELY) and I pray God your WHOLE(ENTIRE) SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thess. 5:23. The whole or "entire" man consists of spirit, soul AND body. Again I ask, since one part has been eliminated, what part of man is born again?

Sorry sir......

That was to show that Jesus's body had no sin nature.

You, and I?
Having human fathers?
We were given a sin nature at conception.

Jesus had no human father.
But He had a human mother.
Genesis 3:15 says that the Messiah would be born of the seed of a woman. Her ovum.

He seems to have trouble with context. ;)
Jesus did not say....

Your spirit needs to be born again.

When he said... "Spirit begets spirit?
That meant?
Your human spirit needs to be born.

You can give me all the Greek words you want.
If you do not understand them in their correct context?
It will not be truth.
The Hebrew and Greek words I have given you guys have come from the texts we have been discussing, in other words, in the context of those particular scriptures and nowhere else. I'm sure you guys have checked and if it wasn't so you would have called me on it long before now. Your positions are getting weaker, that's why you're still here.

Genesis 3:15 says that the Messiah would be born of the seed of a woman. Her ovum.
An ovum has no seed of it's own. The seed was planted or implanted into Mary's ovum by the Holy Spirit, which is why Jesus is called "...Child of the Holy Ghost(Spirit)" Matt. 1:18
It is funny how you get us to play by your made up rules.

You were "as dead' in your transgressions? .
Not so, says Ephesians 2:1.
I don't know about you, but I'm not playing. If man has no spirit he has no chance to be redeemed, , the body is world conscious, the soul, to which spiritual matters are foolishness, is self conscious, the spirit is God conscious.

That particular scripture does NOT show that Jesus' body had no sin nature, although we know from other scriptures that He didn't.

You totally ignored and refused to address what I did say....

You evade that way.

It shows WHY he had no sin nature.

You and I were not conceived in the womb as Jesus was.
And, the difference is why he ended up with no sin nature.

Key words from you " as if dead ". That would be a revitalization , not a resurrection.

And this is what you are contending, not me. You were the one who jumped around in the scripture to find something that resembled a "spiritual coma" rather than dealing with the scripture that said we were dead. You constantly use semantics to try and wriggle your way out of the lunacy you throw out. You use words that don't say what they mean and when I use your meaning to try and accommodate you, you throw them back in my face.

You claim sin affected the spirit God gave but then claim it isn't actually dead even though the wages of sin is death, not some comatose state. Death is separation. Physical death is separation of soul and body. Spiritual death is separation of spirit and soul. We did not die spiritually when we were born, we were already dead, already separated from a human spirit for God had not given us one which, is why we must be born from above.

You used terminology like having a flat battery, well guess what, we also say our battery is dead when it's flat. Go learn what dead means. What you claim would make it a resurrection from the dead if you understood dead in it's proper form instead of trying to make it to be something it isn't.

We gave you the same but you ignored context and failed (in some cases) to deal with the actual verses, instead finding ones that fit your narrative while ignoring the various meanings only pulling our what you wanted.

We are still here because you are wrong and we are happy for everyone to see your twists, turns and what you ignore to accommodate your errors. :)

If man has no spirit he has no chance to be redeemed

You make stuff up. Nowhere in scripture does it say God is saving our spirits.

It is our soul that is being saved, not our spirit. Even our body, while resurrected, is going to be utterly changed out not just saved and improved. Our spirits are born of God and are incorruptible.

1 Peter 2:25
For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Hebrews 10:39
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
James 5:20
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

There are more that speak of saving our soul.

You totally ignored and refused to address what I did say....

You evade that way.
I was addressing your statement "quote all the Greek you want...." implying that what I posted was out of context. That's a favorite ploy of those who can't refute what is presented, out of context, out of context, out of context. As for the rest, I have already addressed what you have presented, there's nothing new, look back and you'll see the answers to all of your repeated questions. I have, Biblically, in contextual Greek and Hebrew, proven my point. If I have ignored any questions it is because they were asked from a standpoint that natural man has no spirit and that has been addressed.

It shows WHY he had no sin nature.

You and I were not conceived in the womb as Jesus was.
And, the difference is why he ended up with no sin nature.
You inferred that the scripture was proof that Jesus had no sin nature, you didn't say WHY He didn't. As for the rest, common knowledge, we are not "Child(ren) of the Holy Ghost."

Having a sinful nature and committing sin are different, connected yes, but different nonetheless. Yes, the wages of sin is death, but the sin has to have been committed for the wages to be paid. That's why when a child is born it is innocent, has not committed any sin but is considered a sinner because of it's nature. As far as the battery is concerned, go back and look, I never said flat battery, I don't use that terminology, maybe Brits or Aussies do. I said we THINK it is dead but with a hotshot it is revived, just as the Holy Spirit revives, restores, revitalizes, renews our flat, deadened or dormant human spirits when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The only new ( to us ) Spirit we receive at salvation is the Holy Spirit. Dead doesn't always mean lifeless, in this case it means dormant, deadened. I understand exactly what I am saying, you don't. " Spiritual death is separation of spirit and soul."?? " For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, PIERCING EVEN TO THE DIVIDING ASUNDER OF THE SOUL AND SPIRIT,.... " Hebrews 4:12. So by your thoughts Gods' Word brings about spiritual death. And I don't know what I'M talking about. Sad. That rope you were talking about.............:-))

You missed " in the context of THOSE PARTICULAR SCRIPTURES." I used the actual concordance meanings of the words we discussed, and you know it. In just about all instances I used the first explanation the concordance gave, I do not cherry pick. Of course YOU don't have ANY errors, do you? I just finished with one, a big one, #1777.

You just don't get it. I posted long ago, which you, of course, argued about, that mans spirit returns to God at death. You tried to make it only mans breath but the Bible says spirit, so I'm going with the Bible. The whole battle is where our minds, wills and emotions (souls) will spend eternity. Without a spirit you cannot be redeemed, you, of all people, should agree with that. But you are so used to contending with everything I say that you don't take the time to read and think before posting your vitriol aimed at me. Take time and think before you post. Again, without a spirit you cannot be redeemed and what is being redeemed IS YOUR SOUL. Get it?

Enjoy your hillbilly churchianity....
