The Bible is Amazing. Every time I read it God shows me things and how I can apply his word to my life. Meekness is my constant longing. To have the ability to exercise power, assert oneself or retaliate but choosing instead to exercise restraint, gentleness and peace. Strength under control. My feelings have always gotten the best of me and I am a very sensitive person. I get all worked up and say things I always regret later. Our Father is so patient with us. After many years and many tears I am starting to see some fruits of the spirit blossoming in my life. I praise God each and every day for the work he is doing in my life. We must all keep fighting the good fight. God loves us so much.

It sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Meekness is an area in which I often struggle too, and it always seems to be related to me wanting to defend myself or momentarily look good in the sight of men in some stupid vainglorious sort of way. When I keep my focus upward and on what God thinks of me, then I find the victory. Welcome, and thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself.

just keep praying and remembering- you have a new nature. try to walk in the new and not run back to the old when something ticks you off...

You reminded me of what caught my attention in devotions tonight. It struck me that Moses was the most humble man in the world. I wondered what that quality would be like and how the Lord honored him for that virtue.

I feel the same way about desiring meekness and practicing restraint. I am also super sensitive, but i think that sensitivity also allows you to share more like what you are doing right now.
Love bible reading too can't wait to see more of what you share from your Bible studies <3 I am a total nerd for bible study and adding notes and just making it personal to connect more with God and what He is saying through his word.
