do you think judas was saved?
What does that mean at that point in time?
do you think judas was saved?
you don't know? aren't you a born again Christian? What does that mean at that point in time?
I fully agree that God knows each of us individually, but He also knows that we are all interconnected because that is the way He created the universe.Yet God knows each one as distinct. I suppose you know all about quantum physics or just physics in general? smh
You appear to be espousing a works to stay saved doctrine. Very dangerous. There's getting Saved and then pursuing a Relationship with the One who saved you and there's getting saved and just assuming it is a slam dunk guarantee without knowing your Savior.
I think "doomed to destruction" covers it. Jesus seemed to know what He was talking about. And since we are not told if Judas repented or not, we cannot answer the question about his ultimate fate.
I fully agree that God knows each of us individually, but He also knows that we are all interconnected because that is the way He created the universe.
As for Quantum Physics, no one knows it entirely and I personally am smart enough to check my thoughts with individuals who are widely recognized as knowing far more than I do, including a couple Nobel prize winners in physics. I was taught that when, not if, I use science in my theology to do everything I can to ensure that the science I use is being used correctly. Far too many decline to use science, or clearly misuse science, in their theology.
I also check my understandings of scripture with recognized experts in the field from a variety of theological stances. The results there tend to either be that I am challenging tradition and tradition simply must be correct, or else whatever made you look at it that way, it makes far more sense than anything else known in the field.
So given that all your sins have the exact same root as Judas's, what do you sell Jesus out for?
God knows tha answer to this question, the Bible does not really address it, so most answers are merely human speculation.
you don't know? aren't you a born again Christian?
Whether I wish to be connected with any specific other or not, I am connected. That is a scientific fact. Are you interconnected with those who are atheists?
Well, going back to your statement I originally responded to, Let me be more precise. What is the root of Judas sin in your opinion and why would you make that statement to a believer in Christ?
Is this your reply to the op?
Whether I wish to be connected with any specific other or not, I am connected. That is a scientific fact.
It is likewise a scientific fact that we humans all, individually, make a choice at a very young age to believe and then act on that belief, that we are separate, not interconnected entities. That is the basic sin that Judas operated from and that every other individual operates from ever since they accept THE lie of separateness, and the results of those actions are what we like to call "sins".
If establishing a consistent daily prayer life with continual thoughts about God and a desire to be closer and to know Him better is works to you then you must be as distant to God as one possibly can.You appear to be espousing a works to stay saved doctrine. Very dangerous.
Jesus Himself tells us the guys in Matthew 7, that DID perform miracles, and preach His Name, WERE NEVER SAVED.
He said He NEVER knew them. That is in the same sense that “Adam KNEW his wife and she gave birth to a son”.
Jesus never made them a new creation. They weren’t born again.
Jesus didn’t say “I knew you at one time, and then you did, or didn’t do something that
made it so I no longer know you”.
No. He NEVER knew them.
Is that a little clearer for you?
Definitely. The Psalmist wrote:Did you answer my question, no.. quite flippant actually.
One more try, could the Spirit of God dwell in a person prior to the Death and Resurrection of Christ Jesus and the day of Pentecost
This has literally no bearing on what was being discussed. If establishing a consistent daily prayer life with continual thoughts about God and a desire to be closer and to know Him better is works to you then you must be as distant to God as one possibly can.
yes.Did you answer my question, no.. quite flippant actually.

There are two revelations of God recognized by theology, the general and the special. I maintain that they should not contradict and if they seem to then at least one is being misunderstood. I suspect that you agree of the two, but maintain that if they contradict, YOUR understanding of the special is correct. My preference is to examine both and possibly adjust my understanding of one or the other or even both. To put it another way, you seem to decide what is true and then adjust the facts to fit, I look at the facts and adjust what I think is true to fit them. You can connect to whatever you want. And apparently you have. I think your studies in quantum physics have quite escaped your understanding. Judas was not saved and Jesus made that plain. No worries though. I am impressed, just not in the direction you seem to think is your due.
The truth is you failed the test in 1 John 4:2-3 because you can't identify the One True God sitting in a single Throne in heaven. You are wrongly convinced that I don’t know God. You will go to any length to twist my words to support your demonic thesis. I leave you to the judgment that awaits you before God’s throne.
There is a difference between the Holy Spirit coming upon someone or even filling someone, and the Holy Spirit indwelling, and sealing a born again Christian unto the day of redemption.Definitely. The Psalmist wrote:
(Psa 51:11 NKJV) Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
How could God take the Holy Spirit from David if David did not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in him?
In Isaiah we read:
(Isa 63:11 NKJV) Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying: "Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them,
Of John the Baptiser it was said:
(Luk 1:15) For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.
So certainly we have examples in Scripture of people who had the Holy Spirit dwelling in them before the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Jesus never once says they were Saved or Not Saved. He said they were workers of Iniquity. You can be saved and look at a sinner in judgement and ultimately cause them to hate what you have and that is working Iniquity. This has literally no bearing on what was being discussed.
Who said we shouldn’t pray and have a desire to get closer to God?
You literally erected a strawman and set him on fire.
How about addressing the post?
Do you need.me to put it again?
Yes. I understand what Judas’ sin was because I read the Scripture that tells us what his sin was.
yes.
