I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.'"

That was written to Israel. Not the Church.
If you read the whole chapter?
You will see that the Lord was prophesying through Ezekiel, that God would restore Israel in the future, and regather them from the nations they had been scattered to!

Therefore, prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander. Ezekiel 36:3

You've taken that passage and ripped it out of its context to make the neat little doctrine for what you want us to believe.

Israel in the past was judged by God and scattered because the Jews were involved with horrific pagan practices.
God was making a promise about some time in the future time God would restore Israel, and put in the Jews a new heart and keep them safe from wandering. That future time will be Israel's glory for the Millennium after Christ returns.

And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.'"

Jews are under Law. The Church is under grace!

I'm aware of that construal. Salvation that is a gift of God not of yourselves. It is by grace through faith (in Christ).

If by "in Christ" you mean it is a faith that exists within Christ, Himself, I can agree with that. However, if you mean salvation is by God's grace plus a person's faith toward Christ, that is not possible or it would render the verse self-contradictory, non-sensical, and illogical.
No mention is made in it of anything needed besides that which God alone has already provided and by which is salvation not of yourself and His free gift - there is no other way for it be true but that they both are from God.

Saved Jews were also under grace. And the only way for them to obey was for God to cleanse them and give them new hearts and spirits, and place His Spirit within them.

Salvation has always been the same regardless of whether it was during the old covenant or the new. Keeping the law didn't save anyone. Keeping the law brought blessing. Not keeping the law brought curses. Christ alone saves. And He does so by giving new hearts and spirits, and placing His Spirit within an individual.

No, whether or not Christ puts His faith into someone is a different issue and not my point now. My point is that Christ's
faithfulness to the Father's plan of salvation was demonstrated by His allegiance to and perfect execution of it during His ministry on this earth, and by His faithfulness, salvation was brought to fruition. Had He not been perfectly faithful in that regard, salvation could not be granted to anyone. That faith is the "through faith" of Eph 2:8. So, no one is saved by their faith; they are only saved by Christ's perfect faith - His faith was perfect, man's faith is imperfect, and sinful, and not of a value that can give salvation to him.

Also, that time was fulfilled the day of Pentecost...Acts 2:5...And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Jesus walked as a man so that he could pioneer the way for us to walk in.
He proved that living by every word one can overcome the evils in this world.

He is, in that sense, the author and finisher of how we should live by faith. Hebrews 12:2

That does not mean Christ puts his faith in us.
It means, for those who keep on learning the Word of God, that Jesus will put us into situations that will require with recall what we have learned and to apply and walk in it.

God works on us to get us to develop our own faith life by APPLYING TRUTH WE LEARNED AND BELIEVED TO OUR LIVES.
Each one of our unique walks of faith are our spiritual fingerprints that make us unique from anyone else.
For our lives and challenges will be different from another's life and challenges that we each must face in overcoming.
Overcoming by the recall and application of the Word abiding in us, in differing amounts from another.

Read the Ezekiel passage then Acts 2:5. God gathered Jews from every nation under heaven to be in Jerusalem the day of Pentecost just like He promised. That just happened to be the same day He gave them new hearts and spirits and indwelt them with His Spirit and began the church. Some coincidence.

You have no biblical answer. Preaching Jesus Christ takes time and effort describing who He is according to scripture i.e God manifested in the flesh. You have billions of people who say they believe in Jesus Christ but deny His Deity, so do they really believe in the bible Jesus Christ ? NO and I can go on. So this shows me you not serious about who Jesus Christ is according to scripture, and a true witness is concerned about that in light of the many false christ we have been warned of Matt 24 Ponder 2 Cor 11:4

Truth be told, most people aren't actually living by the faith of Christ. Most people haven't accessed the power in us that raised Christ from the dead. There aren't many teachers showing believers how to die to themselves and abide in Christ.

No one given these gifts hasn't been glad God was disposed to be merciful towards them.

We make lots of choices every day.

I know that I reject the Spirit and direction of God sometimes (I sin).
I also choose (by faith) to reject the flesh and follow the Spirit in other choices.

Covet, take God's name in vain, lust, put things before God. Etc...
Every day we face temptations and need to choose which way we will go.

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Gal 5:16-17
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh:....

David choose to follow the flesh. He committed adultery and killed.

But he repented.

He rejected the Spirit of God. Do you ever reject the Holy Spirit?

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God

That word author is the greek word archēgon From arche and ago;

arche means: that by which anything begins to be, the origin, active cause

Our Faith finds its origin in Christ, the first cause of it

Thats why faith is not of ourselves Eph 2:8

Then we have this connect Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

That word prince is the same exact greek word for author in Heb 12:2 so He is the author of our repentance in that He gives it to His elect Israel. Faith and repentance two sides of the same coin, one is heads and the other tails
