The mistake was saying Jesus of Galilee . Nazareth was not a town, back in OT
Just because Nazareth is not mentioned in the Old Testament, that doesn't mean it suddenly sprung into existence in intertestamental times or in the New Testament. There are many towns, cities and villages in Israel that are not mentioned in the Old Testament. Capernaum, Bethsaida, Bethany and Chorazin, for example, are all mentioned in the New Testament but not in the Old.

As for it being a mistake (in your opinion) to say Jesus was of Galilee, I would just say that He is called "Jesus of Nazareth" seventeen times in Scripture. Was Peter mistaken when he said:

(Act 2:22) "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

There's nothing to do with it it has to do with the prophecy and why they missed it and I finally just gave you the answer because he couldn't figure it out on your own

What do you mean? I was answering what you wrote: "Nazareth was not a town, back in OT." That is why I said that just because a place is not mentioned in the Old Testament, it doesn't mean it didn't exist.

What does "he couldn't figure it out on your own" mean? Who is the "he"?

Hello it was not the name of Jesus home town in OT.Thats why my the scholars missed it. You have not addressed that yet. I gave you examples long ago the apostle said Jesus Jesus of Nazareth can anything good come out of Nazareth. Mind this is not the same meaning as the religious . The the religious leaders said no prophets come out of a gallalee . They're even ask Nicodemus if he was a gallalee also because they were standing out for Jesus. You're not talking about the points are meaning or seeing what really is going on this is all did you understand the truth is right in front of you you just can't see it

But I have addressed your point. I have said that just because a place is not mentioned in the Old Testament, that does not mean that it did not exist in Old Testament times. I gave you examples of places that are not mentioned in the OT, but are mentioned in the New Testament, and they were not all newly-built in NT times.

What does "my the scholars" mean?

I will respond but talk about the thread. you can understand that much .like I told the others the word of God is God's word only and only he can speak His Word.all we can do is interpret and can't do that without the Holy Spirit . And The Lord is not repetitious .Tell me something from above ,that's of your own understanding .I have the interpretation written in the Bible by others now compare them to yours .

DL, you are trying to mix two different subjects. The one is that the scholars could not find in scripture that any prophet came out of Galilee. The other is where the non scholar ask about Nazareth.

The scholars were looking in the OT.
The non scholar was referencing that Jesus came from Nazareth per conversation. And this was recorded in the NT.

These are two different things, and you are trying to blend them together. The town was not referenced where the scholars were looking. And the towns reference came later when the NT was written.

There was however the prophecy that the scholars missed, as pointed out by Frederickdoc. However, since they missed it, then it does not count.

1) Scholars could not find
2) non scholar conversation
3) missed prophecy

Like that.
Come on DL, you can see this.

Jesus used His divine power for His own benefit when He walked on water, entered a locked room without opening the door, calmed the storm, vanished when done talking with two disciples He met on the road to Emmaus, passed through the midst of the mob that wanted to throw Him down a cliff.
i don't think he did these things for himself but so the people can see the miracles he did and the power he held, the disciples in the boat were astonished that he could silence a storm. I know he did it for them, he knew their heart and they doubted, he needed to remind them of who he was and all is His.

He was showing who the they are in Him .we can put history to life, just speak it, is the loving way .too much about all that if your not doing little things aready then something to claim or see
situations occur all the time

In the spiritual reality of God, true love cannot exist without parah (fruitfulness/multiplication). Because God's essence is love, and God is infinite, His love must always expand, grow, and create life.
If love does not produce fruit or multiply, it is not the divine love (agape) of God.

Kingdom Parah (The Multiplication of Salvation)
This is the external, relational fruitfulness where God uses people to multiply His truth, light, and grace into the lives of others.

F, it is a small price to pay. Think of Hellen Keller who paid her entire life of 88 years except for her first nineteen months. Before the age of seven she could feel the warmth of the sun, the wind in her hair, the tase of an Apple, the fragrance of flowers, but she could not see nor hear the teachings of God.
Until, that is, until the Savior sent Ann Sullivan to her.

We all need teachers. Don't give up. Ann Sullivan became Hellen's life long friend until she passed in 1936. And guess what? The Savior had another companion there to help Hellen until her passing in 1968.

These are great sisters in Christ. Be of good cheer. You are among great teachers, although the students may not be to bright. But there is hope.

Many are consigned to a lower level of understanding no matter how much you try. They will not live by the spirit.

And, from what I understand, the spirit is withdrawn. Perhaps not for all, but for most. Because, they are bound in Babylon.
