But as I said, it is not a test which is presented to the false teachers to pass or fail. It's the way Christians who hear prophets/teachers/preachers are to decide whether those that are teaching them are true or false. In other words, Christians are to test what they hear.

I expect there are some people whose ideas of Jesus coming in the flesh are unbiblical - for example, I have heard some people say, as many of the Jews did, that Joseph was His father. That is saying that Jesus was just an ordinary man, and is not the same as believing that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is come in the flesh.

Yes, He is the Word of John 1, the eternal Son of God, Who left heaven's glory to come to this earth, live amongst sinful people, and die on the cross to save sinners. He rose again, and is now back in heaven, from where He will come a second time.

I repeat, the test was the way John's readers were to assess those who taught them, not like a school exam where pupils have to answer questions.

How do you know that the Lord Jesus reveals that Dino246 failed the test?

I think that at the very least, that is an unwarranted supposition. But I will leave Dino246 to answer for himself if he so wishes.

But as I said, it is not a test which is presented to the false teachers to pass or fail. It's the way Christians who hear prophets/teachers/preachers are to decide whether those that are teaching them are true or false. In other words, Christians are to test what they hear.
Those chosen by God have been appointed by the Lord Jesus to conduct the test to everyone who reads and believes the Holy Scriptures, whether preachers or ordinary members, to determine whether they are of God or not.
In this way, preachers will be exposed as to whether they truly belong to God or not, so that people may know whether to listen to them or turn away from them.

Some teachers may come to regret the teachings they have preached according only to human wisdom.

An example is Saul of Tarsus, a Pharisee, who later repented of what he had done in relation to the Word of God. He was transformed and became Paul.

Likewise, ordinary members are to examine themselves so that they may realize whether the teachings they are following come merely from human beings and not from God. This realization can lead them to repentance and to seek God's mercy and compassion.

Even if people who read and believe the Holy Scriptures declare that Jesus came in the flesh, they still will not pass the test if that confession comes merely from human understanding and not from God.

A person may verbally acknowledge that Jesus came in the flesh, but if that acknowledgment originates only from human wisdom, teaching, or reasoning rather than from God, it does not pass the test. What matters is not only what is said, but whether it truly comes from God.

Yes, He is the Word of John 1, the eternal Son of God, Who left heaven's glory to come to this earth, live amongst sinful people, and die on the cross to save sinners. He rose again, and is now back in heaven, from where He will come a second time.

Your description of Jesus coming in the flesh is also claimed by all groups within Christianity. Because they have four different understandings of how they describe the Lord, this is proof that it does not come from God.

Anyone who declares that Jesus came in the flesh should be able to answer who the one true God is who sits on a throne in heaven, so that it may be known whether his confession comes from God.
Through this, you can also determine for yourself whether your confession that Jesus came in the flesh truly comes from God. I hope you can answer this question:
Who is the one true God seated on the throne in heaven?
REVELATION 4:2
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

How do you know that the Lord Jesus reveals that Dino246 failed the test?
He cannot identify who the one true God is who is seated on the throne in heaven. If his words truly come from God, he should be able to answer this question. Since he is a teacher, it is unfortunate for those who place their trust in someone who does not know God.

For how can a person properly teach others about God if he himself cannot identify the one true God who sits on the heavenly throne?

Remember the importance of knowing the one true God, for only through knowing Him can the sins of mankind be forgiven. For this reason, the Lord had this truth recorded in both the Old and New Testaments, so that its significance would be firmly established in the hearts and minds of people.
JEREMIAH 31:34
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

HEBREWS 8:11-12

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

I think that at the very least, that is an unwarranted supposition. But I will leave Dino246 to answer for himself if he so wishes.

Truth is what reveals what is in a person, and truth is God.

Would it not be better if you let truth examine yourself and leave others alone? For this is what the Lord has said.
PHILLIPIANS 2:12
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Is it not prideful before God to be concerned about the salvation of others when one's own salvation is not yet certain?

I hope you may answer Revelation 4:2

His answer to you and his previous answer to me demonstrate that he has invented his own wacky interpretation of Scripture that supposedly supports his claims.

Every time I press him for a biblical basis for his position or his accusations, he claims that the Lord Jesus has revealed it. What he can’t do is quote Scripture supporting his assertions or quote me where I have supposedly made incriminating statements. He just goes in circles. I have given up on trying to get him to see his errors. His rationale is devoid of logic or biblical support.

I hope you will carefully understand what the Lord has said.
PROVERBS 16:29-30
29 A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.
30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass.

I hope you will carefully understand what the Lord has said.

But the test mentioned in 1 John 4:1-3 is not a test to which the false teachers and false prophets were subjected. John isn't addressing the false prophets. He's addressing his Christian readers, and telling them how they can tell the false from the true. If true, they will confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. If false, they won't:

(1Jn 4:1) Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
(1Jn 4:2) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,
(1Jn 4:3) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Are you claiming that Dino246 does not believe that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh? When has he ever said such a thing? I don't claim to have read all of his posts, but such heresy would stick out a mile.

Are you claiming that Dino246 does not believe that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh? When has he ever said such a thing? I don't claim to have read all of his posts, but such heresy would stick out a mile.

If you cannot answer the question in Revelation 4:2, it means you also cannot pass the test given by the Lord Jesus in 1 John 4:2–3.
All the more, you should not concern yourself with the salvation of others.
If you are not sure that you can pass the test in 1 John 4:2–3, how can you say that you passed Dino 246 in that test?

The Lord Jesus is the one who gave the command, and the Lord Jesus is also the one who will reveal whether a person has passed or failed. It is the Lord Jesus who will declare whether you have passed or failed and not me.

If that is the case, then you are still failing the test of the Lord Jesus up to this day. That is why you have not been granted the understanding that comes from the Lord God.
PROVERBS 2:6
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Sorry, what question in Revelation 4:2? That verse says:

Even taking your idea, that the test is (in your opinion) one that each Christian must pass or fail, I do fully believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Again, I will not answer for Dino246.

You don't say who you mean. Whose job is to point out errors? Whose religion are you trying to guess? Your post doesn't tell us.
Not you question but I did ask you the same question what did you get converted from Are you ashamed to tell me

Why do you think I might be ashamed to tell you? I was converted from self, sin, the devil and my own "righteousness" which the Bible says is like filthy rags in God's sight, and converted to the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose blood cleanses from every sin.

The Lord's command to conduct this test is intended for everyone, all who read and believe in the Holy Scriptures.

For teachers, it is a test to determine whether they are truly chosen by God.

For listeners or church members, since false prophets are widespread, it is a way for them to recognize who has deceived them.

Read the command carefully. The Lord Jesus emphasized the word "every." Therefore, this instruction is not only for teachers but also for their listeners.

After all, what would be the point of identifying teachers as false prophets if nothing is done for the sake of those who are listening to them and being misled?
1 JOHN 4:1-3
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Even taking your idea, that the test is (in your opinion) one that each Christian must pass or fail, I do fully believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. Again, I will not answer for Dino246.

As I mentioned before, even Satan acknowledged that Jesus came in the flesh, which is why he tempted Him in the wilderness. Would you then say that he passed the test?

To pass the test, your confession that Jesus came in the flesh must come from God, not merely from yourself or from something taught to you by other people.

To know whether your declaration that Jesus came in the flesh truly comes from God, you must be able to answer this question: Who is the one true God seated on the one throne in heaven (Revelation 4:2)?

Only then can it be determined whether your understanding comes from God or is merely the result of human teaching.

Although the whole Bible, including John's letters, is the word of God, it was John who, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote the instructions to his Christian readers about those who claimed to teach God's truth:

It is not accurate to describe the Book of Revelation as something John wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Rather, the message originated entirely from God. To illustrate, John functioned as a secretary who recorded what his Master dictated. Thus, the words belong to God, while John merely served as the one who wrote them down.

There is much error in your post but I will address only this point for now.

It is only your opinion that John merely “recorded what his master dictated.” Nothing in Scripture supports that assertion. In fact, there is plenty of evidence that the writers of Scripture did NOT merely record dictation.

However, I am certain you will reject this truth without investigation because your mind is shut to truth. Instead you will persist with your self-taught errors.

If you rely only on your own understanding, you will never comprehend God's revelation of the truth in His words. The example of John acting like a secretary who wrote at the dictation of his boss was given as an illustration by the Lord Jesus so that the lost sheep could fully understand. "I have spoken to you of earthly things so that you may better understand heavenly things."
JOHN 3:12
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

And here is Paul's demonstration as proof of the Lord Jesus' claim that He is the one who teaches or dictates the words of God for His chosen servants to write.
GALATIANS 1:12-13
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Though it is written and you are able to read it, you do not comprehend it. Once again, the Lord reveals this through me. This is evidence that you have not yet come to know the one true God; therefore, He has not granted you understanding, as declared in Proverbs 2:6
PROVERBS 2:6
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

However, I am certain you will reject this truth without investigation because your mind is shut to truth. Instead you will persist with your self-taught errors.

I must reject what you are saying because it is based solely on your own understanding. Furthermore, it is a serious presumption before God to declare that your own words are the truth. Your statements are alarming. I genuinely pity those who place their trust in you, for you are leading them into destruction.
MATTHEW 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Nevertheless, I know that the Lord will not leave His lost sheep to be misled. He will continue to work in ways that expose false prophets and reveal the truth. So that they will continue to follow the voice and teachings of God alone.
JOHN 10:27
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Though it is written and you are able to read it, you do not comprehend it.
I comprehend it better than you because I know Paul said nothing about verbatim dictation. You read it and think he did.

Sorry but I have no idea what you mean. What is "some sort of religious?" What does "went from religious to religious" mean? When did I "never straight away tell you an answer?" Your question was timed at 0923 yesterday, and I replied at 1000 yesterday. I did not steal my answer - it was my own answer, using my own words. I did not steal it from anybody. You say that my answer was vague. Certainly I could have given you a much more detailed testimony, but that surely would have been taking this thread off-topic.

Every word that comes out of your mouth reveals you before God, for you hold yourself in too high regard
MATTHEW 23:12
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

The Lord Jesus spoke the truth; indeed, His word does not pass away (Matthew 24:35). You are the Pharisee who regards himself as greater than the tax collector.
LUKE 18:10-14
10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

By saying that, you are also implying that the Lord Jesus was lying when He declared that no one understands
ROMANS 3:10-12
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Chapter and verse, please. Where does Satan acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh?

God never changes (Malchi 3:6). Whoever does not know God remains blind before Him (John 9:40-41) and therefore lacks the understanding (Provers 2:6) that comes from God.
The truth is already written and can be read in the Scriptures, yet it is still not understood.

Even the devil's temptation of the Lord Jesus serves as evidence (Matt 4:1-11).
The devil intentionally came to Him in the wilderness to tempt Him, which is sufficient proof that he recognized Jesus as having come in the flesh.

Why then do you still fail to see and understand? Because failure to know the one true God is itself evidence of spiritual blindness and a lack of understanding that comes from God.

Revelation 4:2 does not say that God is seated on the one throne in heaven, so your question and test are nonsense.

I know that you may not understand this either. This message is for the lost sheep.
Revelation 4:2 is not simply a narrative to be recounted or information to be learned.
The Lord desires both knowledge and wisdom, and that wisdom must be put into practice
PROVERBS 9:10
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Rather than fearing God, you chose to be governed by fear of yourself.
This is why you do not understand the angel's message to the Apostle John about the scroll. It was not enough for him simply to chew it in his mouth, symbolizing knowledge; he also had to swallow it, symbolizing wisdom and the application of what he had received.
REVELATION 10:8-9
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

No, it's just another of your wacky inventions to exclude yourself from accountability and correction. You make up tests that Scripture doesn't present, you make up answers that Scripture doesn't provide, you call saved and Spirit-filled believers in Christ followers of the devil, and you insulate yourself from truth.
Those who do not know the one true God are pitiable in His sight, for they lack the understanding that comes from God.
They place their trust in their own wisdom instead of the wisdom that comes from God

Therefore, the truth of God's word is reserved for the lost sheep only and not for the goat.
MATTHEW 25:32
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

The Lord has been waiting for you to answer who the one God is who sits on the single throne in heaven (Revelation 4:2). I hope you will not simply turn away from this. For through this, the Lord will reveal whether you can pass His test in 1 John 4:2–3.

The Lord Jesus exposes people to determine whether they pass or fail the test. When they fail, His desire is that they repent of their pride before Him. However, even in failure, they still claim that they have passed the test.

If you refuse to respond and disregard it, you will be like the disciples who turned away and left Him because they were unwilling to confront the truth.
JOHN 6:60 & 66
60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
