So sad for the doctors and reporters who have been killed risking their lives to get the story out and help all the injured babies, mothers and children, I can only read this stuff in small doses due to it being so horrific.

Yes and guess who funded Hamas via Qatar.... this world is too much sometimes.

There is spiritual Israel and literal Israel. God promised that the nation, i.e literal Israel, would be restored. That happened in 1948. Many Jews retained their identify after the Romans destroyed the nation, even though they were dispersed widely.

God has a purpose for literal Israel still. The prophecies in Revelation cannot be fulfilled if Israel does not exist. And that is exactly why much of the world is hell bent on destroying Israel. It's a tiny nation. It has a population of about 10 million. It is surrounded by 400 million Muslims who hate everything that Israel stands for. Yet it not only survives, it prospers. Israel was a wasteland for 1900 years. Now the deserts have been transformed, as God foretold.​

God's covenant with Abraham, Jacob and then Israel always included the land. Even in the diaspora, some Jews stayed in Israel.

The promises of God to Abraham, including the land promises, are all fulfilled in Jesus-the True Israel. Because of their rejection of Christ, the Jewish nation was rejected and cut off from God's covenantal promises. Rm 11. Israel is no longer the people of God, that distinction belongs to the Church-the Israel of God. Gal 6:16. God has no specific plan or purpose for Israel outside the Church. When in the future 'all Israel will be saved', they will be saved into the Church, not as a separate entity.

All Israel refers to all the believing elect remnant throughout all of time that will be saved in the same manner, ie., by the new covenant removal of their sins, and that requires faith in Christ. The idea of all natural Israel being saved is what the pharisees who rejected Christ believed, and what their spiritual progeny now believe.

There is Israel after the spirit and there is Israel after the flesh. Both are literal. The former is literally ruled by the spirit of God, and the latter is literally ruled by the flesh. God promised that the believing, faithful remnant of Israel would be restored to him, and that can only be accomplished in spiritual Israel. Israel after the flesh is so fixated on the land because they have no other hope.

When Jesus 2nd coming, yes there will be some remnant of ethnic israel repent and born again, as well as ethnic Arabs, Asian, Indian, white, black......
What does that have to do with today so called Christian supporting murdering children, sodomizing, sexual immorality, bombing innocent land and people, persecuting Christian, bombing historical churches?

The bolded part is the essence of pharisee entitlement theology, which basically says "We have a lien on God's promises through our physical descent. God owes us something". Christians today who follow this entitlement idea are their spiritual progeny.

This is the fruit of that entitlement theology: accusing God of being a greater sinner than the Jewish people are. This is Rabbi Schmuley Boteach, who is very mainstream.

I've said of the law-keepers (SDA's 10-Commandment types, Jews) that, ultimately they want to hold God to account. It's a quid-pro-quo relationship. Business-like. What this rabbi said is truly frightening but revealing.

There are so many dichotomies in the scriptures that illustrate the natural vs the eternal; the sin nature with the Spirit.

Adam / Jesus, the last Adam
The kosmos / the collection of people
Jerusalem that is below / Jerusalem that is above
Israel on earth / Israel that is in Christ
Natural Sarah (Jews) who gives birth to slaves / Spiritual Hagar who gives birth to those free in Christ
Anti-Christ / Christ
Son of Promise / Son of Perdition
The law given at Sinai / the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus
the Harlot / the Bride of Christ

It's horrifying because it's opposing and exalting man above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that as God he sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
