Well in your case, you constantly have to theologise to overturn the plain words of scripture, because it disagrees with your views. So, I think your rational mind is a hindrance in your quest to learn of the spiritual
I have heard about the "virtues" of abandoning rational mind from Indian religions but not yet seen any such teaching in the Bible.
Can you show us that in scripture?

We are to rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth. He believes his rational mind can lead him into spiritual truth. Possibly you agree with him

The plain words of scripture say the spirits of just men made perfect reside in heaven. How can you be so dense?

But you have come to mount Zion, and the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem; and to myriads of angels, to the festival and to the assembly of the firstborn having been registered in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to spirits of the righteous having been perfected, and to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, speaking better than that of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24

One of us is spiritually dense that is for sure
How were they made perfect? By Jesus shed blood
Something that had not happened when you believe Moses attained to Heaven!

Elijah was seen ascending into heaven in a fiery chariot. You either have a stiff neck and a contrary spirit, or you are just ignorant of scripture..

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 2 Kings 2:11

Well firstly, why quote scripture, in your world you can overturn it whenever you need to!
You need to read the bible as one cohesive whole
Have you never heard the phrase. Do not build a doctrine on one verse of scripture?
That is the only verse that says anyone went straight to Heaven, and if taken literally contradicts the words of Christ, the writer of Hebrews and much else besides. In Elijah's case, we must assume Heaven means paradise

The Bible instructs us to "believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God" (1Jhon:4).
That is because there are many imposters, and the Holy Spirit has a distinct character that we can learn to recognize.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance:
2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I would think that a "sound mind" is a mind that is still rational, but able to receive thoughts, corrections and instructions from it's maker.
There would be more humility in such a mind than what there is in any of us, because there is an inclination in man to dictate to God.

It is hard for man to rely on the Spirit to learn rather than himself, especially if he has a good academic mind

1 Corinthians 1:22-24

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

It is true our souls go to heaven when we die, but at the resurrection body and soul are reunited and we have the kingdom on earth for a 1000 years followed by eternity. Do you agree? Would be nice to have some common ground im here to make friends not enemies.

What I believe is:

The last days started during the 1st coming and will end at the 2nd coming and at the second coming a remnant of the people of Israel will repent and be joined to His body, the Church and at the second coming we will receive our glorified bodies. This is followed by the sabbath of the earth so to speak, the thousand year reign. That is followed by the new heaven and new earth and eternity starts.

I believe I can prove all of the above from Scripture, do you agree or not?

We all have governments that do bad things from time to time, but what would you think of the spiritual condition of a person who expressed such an unsatisfieable blood lust against YOUR children?

Righteous anger is not like that.
Righteous anger can be appeased, but this is the anger of one who puts himself in the place of God.
Though he has done no harm to you it would not stop even after the last Palestinian is dead.
All those that encourage and support you in this reprobate spirit are not your friends as they appear.
Those that oppose you in it can do nothing to redeem you from it.
Without the intervention of Jesus it is a condition that remains unsatisfied for eternity.

Jesus was always able to draw a crowd, but never was He highly esteemed among men, and it is exactly the same now.
We may like to be associated with His great name, but how many of us really want to be changed by Him?
He who slays with the sword must be slain by the sword, he who leads into captivity must be led into captivity. Such "blood lust" is not expressed by me, but by the Lord himself - and his martyrs: "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”. You should ask yourself why you're defending these beastly terrorists who openly celebrated massacring women and children on the street on Oct. 7.

Jesus saves, not Moses.
Jesus is a "prophet like Moses", Deut. 18. If you don't know Moses, neither will you know Jesus. Jesus said this himself in the parable of Lazaras and the rich man. In the grave the rich man begged father Abraham to send someone from the dead to warn his brothers, father Abraham told him, since they didn't listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they listen to somebody risen from the dead.

You sometimes appear to be trying to set traps for me with your questions.

No, you're not understanding the questions.

I am guessing that you do not have as many poisonous snakes over there in Kentucky as we do here in Australia, otherwise they would have taught you not to make it so obvious.

You said are you like them, who is them? That's not a trick question. It's direct.

"They" are those that accommodate a murderous reprobate spirit shared by the very worst of the Nazis,

Seems like you understand the question after all. Who is the reprobate?

Christian-Zionists and many others.

CZs believe that Jews have a right to a homeland. Do you agree or disagree?

They feel secure in their imagined spiritual or racial superiority, and at the same time as inflicting pain on others believe themselves to be eternal victims, wrongly discriminated against and persecuted by others.

So they are the Jews? And you're saying Jews aren't persecuted? What happened on Oct 7.

Without the intervention of Jesus they are incapable of knowing and understanding themselves at all.
That's the same asS any lost sinner. That was YOU before you came to the Lord!

They are the type of people who would believe any slanderous report against their victims,

Jews again right?

and propagate any lie that would seem to vindicate their fellow perpetrators to the point of believing it themselves.
If for example they heard a slanderous rumor that the people of Kentucky started the holocaust,
They would be likely to believe it and pass it on.

Still the Jews. And you don't see your post as racist at all huh? That speaks volumes.

You really have no idea what you are talking about or how to engage in discussion. Your response is in no way related to what I requested
You asked me to demonstrate why, I gave you exactly what you asked, in the Lord's own words.
The coming of the kingdom of heaven to earth was not the new Jerusalem. But heaven did indeed come to earth. Mark 9:1 says so
Whatever you'd like to call it, nobody ascends to a "heavenly Jerusalem".
So many verses that contradict your beliefs.
Do you believe in the resurrection of the body, or the eternality of the soul? "So many verses" don't matter, it has been proven that many bible verses can be quoted to back anything, including genocide and socialism. The bible was not written for a p!ss contest to see which party can throw out more bible verses to back their crazy ideas.

That kind of theolgizing will get you into trouble

It depends on the verse. Sometimes it means the last days of Israel after the flesh and sometimes it means the last days of the times of the gentiles, ie, when the lord returns to set up his kingdom.

But Jesus is the prophet who superceded Moses, as Moses prophesied.
