Is there any place that literally says faith comes first?Literally nowhere does it say that God regenerated first, and then faith comes.
Where does it say... regeneration happened, then faith in Christ happened afterwards?

rogerg,Those who make the doctrine of salvation complicated do so because they don't believe that Christ is the Savior but that they must contribute to it or must accomplish it by their works. If they did truly believe in Christ, they would know that Christ already accomplished it all on their behalf - He is the Savior. Of course, in order to know and truly believe in that they would already have had become saved.
A person's faith is not what saves them; their faith is an attribute that comes from salvation. Christ's faithfulness is the faith that
brought salvation to fruition for them and for all who become saved.
Salvation is given instantaneously by God to those whom He chose unto salvation and is given at a time of His choosing.
There are no requirements to become saved except that God chose that person to be saved from before the foundation of the world.
The God assumed responsibility for His chosen, that they will obtain and remain in the faith until the end. See 1 Pe 5 below
[1Pe 1:3-5 KJV]
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
I am sorry. Many Calvinist said to me, Jesus saves only those he wants. How could they have believed they were saved and also that God did
not choose them? Did they also deny being called out of the world?
I am having trouble deciphering your second paragraph. Could you please clarify?
Grace is a gift from God that one can not earnCan you define grace?
It doesnt have to literally say it. It just needs to be a bible truthLiterally nowhere does it say that God regenerated first, and then faith comes.
False, Jesus Christ saves His People from their sins Matt 1:21 and Faith believes that fact. For belief in Jesus Christ saves us from Hell.
Included in that gift is the exercise of God's power towards/for/in the recipient of grace?Grace is a gift from God that one can not earn
Faith to believe in Jesus is way easier than the faith to follow Jesus daily. Most of his lost followers once had faith to. Faith is not an intellectual construct. It is a real life construct. We do not want or need life changing faith, we have only a comfortable theology that frees us from the requirement to change. We are told that Jesus loves us "just the way we are." Jesus does all the work while we sit in a church for a few hrs a month or not at all, but we get heaven no matter what. Welcome to 21st Century non-Catholic Christianity of comfort, wealth, prosperity and blessings all guaranteed by our head nod to a 60 second pulpit prayer sometime ago on a date that we can't quite remember. But we got saved so we are good.Forcing is a man centered way to put it. Otherwise, What’s the difference?
Even IF you were to say God gave them the choice, He would STILL be knitting and creating them in their mother’s womb knowing they are going to hell by rejecting His Son.
But of course God is the One who gives us the faith to believe while He knits us in the womb. If everyone had the faith to believe, ALL would believe.
That’s why you, and me and every other saved person heard the Gospel and our faith God gave us was activated, and we were quickened to believe the Gospel, and were born again.
Yet those without faith heard the Gospel and accounted it as foolishness, and did not believe.
That is not what the free gift of salvation is based on.Faith is the power that fuels a converted life. Faith is not just what we claim to believe. Jesus tells us to feed the poor.
Some of them?So people here who disagree with you are demon influenced?
Your confusing the free gift of salvation with the resultant Christian lifestyle.rogerg,
No. My point is Salvation is not something we get for saying I "believe." Faith is the power that fuels a converted life. Faith is not just what we claim to believe. Jesus tells us to feed the poor. If we refuse we have no saving faith. Jesus says take up your cross daily and sacrificially and we say nope that is just "forbidden works". Patmos John says that lukewarm Christians God will spew out of His mouth.
It is simple. If we claim salvation and hate then we are only fooling yourself and ignoring God's two prime directives: Love Him and love your fellow man as much as we love ourselves. These are not WORKS these are actual and natural result of what Christ calls "faith." We all sermonize and rail about what the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is all about. IMHO, It is the irresistible power to change your life in the image of Jesus the Christ or it is nothing at all.
Faith is the power in a converted life. We can claim all the faith in the world that our coach is a winner, but if we are unwilling to get in the game, our claim of faith from the stands is little more than false hope wishful thinking. Paul says we can have enough faith to move mountains but without love we are wasting our time. Love is 100% action, risk, challenge, purpose and daily recommitment.
This bogus definition of works is, IMHO, just an excuse to continue to live our lives exactly as they were pre-faith because a fat, foul mouthed Roman Catholic Monk, Luter, convinced us that what we think and what we theoretically believe is everything and the converted life is a sin because it requires a change in every step, walk, word and action in our life and they are "works." The reality on the ground is if Christianity resides only in our brain, that form of Christianity is useless to us, to God's purpose for our lives and useless to the One who came to both save us and recruit us to His purposes . He came to save us from our self-centeredness. Christianity was first called the Way because it was an obvious change of their daily lives from their old way of living to their new Way of living. Faith was visible in the walk not in the talk.
It doesnt have to literally say it. It just needs to be a bible truth
Thats too bad because he is a false teacher, so you deceived my friendI'm watching Dr. Leighton Flowers go over John 10, two hour video but seems worth it so far.
Magenta,Do you think it is possible to get the truth from any with CDS?
I have not found it to be so. Even when some error is acknowledged, they go right back to their lies,
just like "A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”

You hear the gospel and believe.Inquisitor
That is not what I am saying. I am saying they are all one thing for nothing. You can't have one without the other. Christianity is not a lifestyle. Christianity is a Way or it is nothing.
You got that right. My point is that there is nothing whatsoever that we can do to get it - it's a gift given solely and freely unto His chosen by an exceedingly merciful and gracious God the Father through Jesus Christ the Savior (God the Son). Jesus Christ is its apex: salvation and everything that pertains to salvation comes from/through Him, nothing to obtain it comes from man.
