God exercises His grace in presenting them that which they should believe, where 'should' is a conjugation of can and/or will, like could, would, shall, etc. So that when God says, 'but you wouldn't,' He is inherently referring to His recognition of their will.
From: John 8 verse 34; 2 Peter 2 verse 19a; Galatians 4 verse 8; Romans 7 verse 14; Ephesians 2 verse 3b; Romans 6 verse 6 ~ “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.” They are slaves of corruption. When you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods. You were of the flesh, sold under sin. We were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. Our old self was crucified so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

As a boy I was envious of Christians around me when they celebrated Christmas and the Resurrection (Easter).
Easter as celebrated somewhat of a distortion, but it still told enough to see the death, burial, and resurrection in a most beautiful way.
Being left out made me sad and envious. Judaism to me was dead in comparison.
Those who preach the Gospel are thinking TULIP?
They are not preaching in grace.
They preach in law...
We are saved by grace.
This means we are saved by the exercise of God's power.
We are therefore saved by the activity of God; not what we do.
What we do is in response to what God has done.
Without God's power to silence our flesh while being given the Gospel no one could believe.
Ephesians 2 v 4-7 ~ Because of His great love for us, God, Who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved! And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might display the surpassing riches of His grace, demonstrated by His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Hold on I know God rains on the just and the Unjust alike. Also Times and seasons God ordain. That is not the grace by which we are saved through faith. Is 55:11 and Rom 2:16 do not over ride The words of Jesus who is the Supreme authority when HE is speaking even greater than John Calvin TULIP.

The issue with this statement is it doesn't take into consideration Jesus is the WORD. He came to save that which is lost. He said in John 3:16 the love of God for the world he gave his only son so that none should parish.
He also said why men don't get saved.
18“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20
For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
Please don't tell me you too are overcome by CDS. I haven't mentioned TULIP. I have shared scripture.
Also, are you saying the words of Jesus are more authoritative than the rest of scripture?
There is much here I'm more than happy to address, but let's make sure we are on the same page. We agreed that we are saved by grace. We agreed that grace was unmerited favor and the exercise of God's power. In other words, we don't deserve be saved, but God acts mercifully on our behalf, and exercises His power in/on/through us to effect our salvation. Any objections to this point?
Yes they say that a lot..... just read the posts in this thread.
But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Calvinism renders the message of the Gospel powerless.
Imagine the audacity to promote this and to usurp what Christ Jesus has proclaimed.
Those who preach this faulty soteriology should be troubled, but they are not.
"the called according to His purpose" - we are not called by a still, mysterious voice, new Gnosis, or by a internal direct operation of the Holy Spirit but by the GOSPEL!
2 Thess. 2:13-15
