Yep! Im not backing down on that, you can forget it. And the Gospel is hid to them that are Lost

Well, if you want to fling God's plan of salvation back in His face, that's up to you. God Himself will not force you. Certainly, no one can force you.

He's not saying repentance isn't part of salvation. He's saying repentance doesn't lead to salvation, but that salvation leads to repentance.

You just defined the opposite of scripture.

I guess Peter had it wrong when he said repent after the Holy Spirit filled all those waiting in Jerusalem during the day of Pentecost.

Don't come back with that only applies to Jews because they rejected Jesus.

Then thats hid to them that are lost. And the Gospel isnt Jesus made salvation possible lol

Well, you already described the problem but you are wrong in thinking it applies to those in Christ when it applies to
Calvinists who have salvation absolutely backwards.

The Gospel is hidden to them that are Lost !

Then are you are lost since you deny that Jesus is the way to God?

1Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, having this ministry as we have received mercy we do not lose heart. 2But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

You keep claiming II Cor. 4:4 but you do not believe it! This is astounding! Paul is saying that the gospel is Christ and you do not see it! You are living proof of this verse and you throw it around and every time you do so, you condemn yourself. You judge yourself with this verse because apparently, believing Calvinsim is the gospel, has hid the light of the gosepl of the glory of Christ.

I think you should stop flinging this verse around.

That's interesting. Also easy to test.

Read Ezekiel 36:26-27. What produces the conditions for an individual to submit to God?

The Gospel is hidden to them that are lost, whether I believe its Calvinism or not.

Whether Im lost or not, the Gospel is hidden to them that are Lost. In other words, the only one who can believe the Gospel are them who are in a saved condition, being saved 1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

"The law" was given to Jews not the Gentiles.
Romans 2:
12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Yes I know the verses.
I was referring to the "The Law" ... but anyway Paul is saying that people obey laws they were never given directly ...kinda goes against your point people willfully violating the law.

Even though I am not a Calvinist I do believe in divine determinism. I don't agree with TULIP except the P. Maybe I'll start a thread explaining why I think the TULI is wrong. :) But I have a business meeting in a half hour. Maybe Sunday, if I have the time.

Huh. I didn't know you thought of yourself as one of God's chosen people aka Jews. Nonetheless, even they have to accept Christ and they don't know a thing about Calvinsim.

Peter said to repent. It's not an option. I don't think it's worth the effort to explain it to you separately from mr bright, but is II Cor. also out of your perview?

You and your kin almost have me laughing at this point, but this is too serious and I'm not going to react from my flesh.

We'll try another way.

We are saved by grace?

Is grace the exercise of God's power on/in/ through an individual?

Well, Roger, I think the following describes our position in/with God in Christ

38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39;nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8: 38-39

We are all free to start threads..with the approval of the mods. :)

They cannot see such Biblical truths. They also claim everyone hears when Jesus let us know that is not true.

Even worse, they have repeatedly told us God is unfair to do the
very things He is shown to do from beginning to end of the Bible.

Denying and contradicting Biblical truths is a mainstay of many of these free willers.
I was just teaching on the book of Job and what you said here reminded me of Job's friends:

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

To call God unfair for the very things the Holy Scriptures record Him as doing is exactly that, and the apostle Paul did expect this response:

Romans 9:19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?

A quick apology up front: I know everyone here prefers brevity, so I’ll keep this as tight as possible. Create and control are not the same thing. To create is to bring something into existence with its own nature, limits, and capacities; to control is to manipulate something already made from the outside. God’s sovereignty rests in the first reality, not the second. Because He creates all things—including their purposes, boundaries, and futures—His rule is not the rule of a manager inside the system but of the One whose being is above it. Creation establishes dependence; control merely directs behavior. That’s why God’s sovereignty points to His transcendence: He governs the world not as a creature within it, but as the Creator who gives it its very being.

I can give you an example of transcendence if you like.

How could omniscient God have man created with a 'hands off' policy concerning the volition of man?

How about Paul in II Cor: 4? That is what is in play here...not bait and switch. If you can't bother to contend with that portion of
scripture because it is so explicit, please don' t try another until you say why you think Paul is wrong.

Are you one of those people who hold Paul as not authorative?

Let's try my way. Not you changing the scene because that is how you roll.

The fact is that is was the god of Calvinism who was described as unjust .. with a small g.... meaning not the God of the Bible.

This is a very well known criticism of the god of Calvinism.

Romans 9 does not teach unconditional salvation.
