I want to distinguish between returning as 'new', which I understand to be perfectly normal, and pretending you are not talking to yourself.
I cannot understand the appeal of this "system" at all.... it just seems to me anyone who has family, friends, neighbors or co -workers
that they care about, would be beside themselves in sorrow daily, not affirming triumphantly on a message board how they have
been chosen for salvation.
I am not sure if they are new or returning (agree that does not matter) I just remember a few years back when the Calvinists were outnumbered and they were shown over and over again to be teaching a faulty system, all of sudden new members would come and jump right into the thread directly, could be just one of those things.
My guess, they knew each other from other message boards, maybe they travel in packs, lol.
Maybe sock accounts ..never thought of that.
I notice the laser focus on the subject and I can't help but wonder about it.

I was browsing a different site. They restricted participants access to their boards. As in,Christians Only.
Not that there is any way to insure the rule.
I will say though after the blessedly short lived encounter with that one, it seems to have pricked others like him to speak up and show themselves.
This place is called Christian Chat.
I thought it meant it was a place where Christians gather in community.
Or, is it instead means as a place where the fallen talk down to Christians?

Maybe you see sock accounts because you're unaware people can discuss Calvinism and its tenets as relates to those being in the Gospel, without being a Calvinist.Supporters of Calvinist theology that are not Calvinist... I seems that is either the latest fashion trend, or crazy.
Speaking of crazy, I do wonder how many sock puppets are in circulation.

Over the years people have learned how controversial and disruptive such teachings as "irresistible grace" can be.
So? Some people, by nature. Just love to stick the contradiction it to others and at the same time feel they are intellectually superior.

This reminds me of the toffee fay commercial I had taken to heart as a child, "Toffeefay, it's too good for kids..." Of course, the advertiser added the grampy saying to the kid, "but not too good for you," but all that did was make me wonder, "...but ...what about me?"

I was just reading about how these "so called doctrines of grace" have been so disruptive and have caused so much strife in the church for years and years.
Lots to unpack there... so they are actually feeding their flesh ... you know I bet there is also dopamine thing going on, that would explain a lot as well.
The backdrop is my view of city's 4th of July celebration that my newest little blessing slept through. The grand finale woke him and caused him to look up at me with great concern in his eyes which provided the opportunity to assure him that he is safe and born in the USA! This succeeded in dissolving his trepidation as he turned his attention to the volley that then was sufficient to hold his interest.
There is no shortage of names I get called by false accusers who prefer their lies to the Bible Truths on which I stand.
He was a liar from the beginning. Remember Jesus calling out his accusers? Same reason. "...you are of your father the Devil."
Jesus said we would be hated just as he was hated.
Don't you love it when his teachings from thousands of years ago are shown to be relevant, revealing, today?

You will find out, and have already seen it, that a certain person exaggerates and accuses others of absurd things. The person lashes out at those who express a different theological viewpoint. Most people here are not like that, they gently and politely respond to critique. They don’t insult or spew forth heated hostility.
Keep your eyes open and consider the prevailing attitudes.
