It is reformed theory. Calvies don't like to be called calvies.

But you are spot on, what a witness we get on these boards from calvies........But they won't witness this barbaric "truth" in their churches. It's way more subtle for those worthless, steaming piles of dung out on the street.

Interesting, I guess having attended a Reformed church you would have seen/known these things.
Sad.

Answered many times by whom to who? Why say such things? It tells me nothing.

So you also conflate a carnal Christian with the natural man? That is wrong also.

You do not know who the natural man is, I take it. He is the one WITHOUT Christ.

He does not belong to Christ. He is of the world which cannot receive the Spirit of Truth.

Scripture says so. I don't think FWers can deal with these Biblical Truths.

They blow their philosophical construct out of the water.
I wonder what denomination they were brought up in?

You are correct. The natural man, mind,is also the carnal man. Those who are unable to understand the things of God because we are first separated from God due to our human ,fleshly, nature.

1 Corinthians 2:14
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

When God enters in by his grace and opens our consciousness to faith and the understanding the things of God,that is when we are eternally in His irrevocable Salvation. Indwelt by His Spirit.

Job 32:8
But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:14

The Bible does not say the emotion of fear is a Sin.

Fear is not an emotion, it is a negative thought that produces bad emotions.

Jesus commanded His disciples to not fear.

Fear is the opposite of trusting God.

Revelation 21:8

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

God Himself has to reveal the mystery truth to a believer.

as long as we agree on apostle s creed, either free will or predestination, can be a friendly debate.

If some people insist on talking down to others, then that just reveals their faith level.

I came from a reformed/calvie church. The mens Bible study, behind the scenes, was like this board. But we were all nice and "spreading" the Gospel in the dog and pony show..........What a sham I was involved in.

At least one of the Pelagian heretics here do not believe divine intervention is required at all.

Which is about as far from Biblical truth as one can get. And these debates have been going on for
some time, with one side continually slandering the other and blaspheming God when not busy
ignoring, rejecting, denying, and outright contradicting explicitly written Scriptures. Some think
nothing of rewriting the very word of Jesus Christ Himself. I believe the Bible and the God of the
Bible and have been called a degenerate for doing so, and quoting Scripture called false teaching.
But you are relatively new here, so your naive and idealistic attitude is somewhat understandable.

Buckle up.

The Gospel is not a mystery truth. He offers it to the WORLD/ALL/EVERYONE.

Agree!!

It does not state to whom He bequeaths belief!

Amplified Bible
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Berean Annotated Bible
I am not ashamed of the gospel (good news), because it is the power {dynamis} of God {Theou} for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.
Romans 1:16

The Gospel itself has God's life-giving energy and power, but people do have to pay heed to the message.

It does not require a prior, secret act of regeneration (being born again before faith) to make a person alive enough to hear it.

Pisteuonti (πιστεύοντι) – "to everyone who believes"
Present tense, active participle of pisteuō (πιστεύω), meaning to trust, rely upon, or have faith in.

Makes it clear it is the condition to receive the gift of salvation.

The Lord Jesus dying for the WORLD is divine intervention. Why don't YOU believe this?

A threat to one's divine selection maybe.. since no one is saved apart from "through faith"

Only a tiny sect for years believed this TULIP nonsense and here we are, but thankfully it is in retreat! 🙏

The miserable Calvinist must get some kind of a thrill from thinking God randomly selected them, while almost everyone else is going to hell, and they do not have to exert effort to lead anyone to salvation, because it’s all predetermined.

The miserable you must get some cheap thrill from believing yourself
capable of doing what Jesus said was impossible. Wow! How amazing is
that, really? Just incredible you foiled God's plans, which you call random.
That borders on blasphemy. Your comrades will be so proud of you.

I think the parable of the talents is a good example in, "Nobody would be interested if I wasn't interested." I was wondering today if Lucifer was the first 'lazy, useless servant.' I can imagine him saying, "I knew you were a hard master so...I didn't bother myself (except to do whatever seemed right to me)."

If it could be shown to you falsehoods that you are perpetuating in this post, would you welcome the corrections?

Adults don't insult people.
Christians don't insult people.

True. Those of the natural mind, carnal human nature, cannot understand the things of God.

I believe when we have God's Holy Spirit within us, we are civil to one another. Regardless of topics discussed.

Believe as you wish.
However, you cannot say God calls fear a Sin when He does not.

I bet he would not. He repeatedly lied about me with apparently no compunction or
even any evidence as to what he kept falsely accusing me of. FWers love their lies.

All of His Faithful are on their own journey,as He wills.

Then there are Disruptors. Who enter in for just that purpose. They enter in and talk with us. But they are not one with us.
