These days that would probably be considered an extreme statement, but I believe it, proclaim it, and stand by it even today. I don't think that idea would have been so foreign to the much maligned founders. Am I looking at it the wrong way? I'm thinking that I'm about 30% American these days. God first, right?

Thoughts?

I'm English, living in Australia. It is so hard to get citizenship that I've given up, even though I've lived here since 1966. I do not consider myself either English or Australian. My citizenship is in heaven.

Yeah, God bless America signs are everywhere here. I always wonder why people think that we here in America deserve to be blessed. Maybe He will show mercy on us because of the few here who are not caught up in all the garbage going on today. Our government has got it's own agenda and is creating useful idiots to support them. But that too is our being handed over to our enemies. Repent America, and God will restore us.

For the most part, what is happening in America is not the will of God. The politics are just the fruit of our sin as a nation, but that's individual sin collectively, not politically. The political side of it is just the result of a much deeper problem. This problem doesn't get solved through politics, meaning that we cannot legislate it away. Our enemies in this county believe that if they can legislate it, then that makes it right and good.

I'm just separating myself from the politics of it, the machine, and claiming that I'm not a blind supporter of it, like people do with political parties. But that machine is our making. We are being handed over to our enemies in the country because we need to repent as a nation. I don't see that happening. That would be the end of Catholicism, Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. They would need to grow up or leave. The churches in this country are foundational, but our churches here, at least the major denominations, are very sick. Very, very sick.

What nation do you think is MORE in line with the will of God? What nation does more benevolent work, feeding the hungry and clothing the naked than the US?
 
The only one would be the Israel of our Father, all who truly believe.

None. We always had the right idea on paper, and may have resembled that idea better in the past, but now, not so much. Even the greatest ideas will not work without the right people using them. I think that we here in the U.S. still try in some superficial ways, but are being handed over to our enemies, just like Israel used to get handed over to their enemies. We wanted to be a Christian nation, that's good, but that comes with responsibilities before God.

Our government, is being handed over to our enemies who are destroying us from within (Communist goals 1963 as documented by Congress). Our government has it's own agenda, and they are brainwashing the children to want it and to think that those "changes" are a good things. They run the colleges too. All of it, just like they said that they were going to do. Even in the public schools, everywhere, children are being brainwashed. These are pedophiles of children's hearts, minds, and even bodies. If anyone stands up to that, they lose everything. That's liberal fascism. Fascism IS a liberal ideology.

What most people don't understand is that slavery is alive and well in the U.S. today. The chains are not around the wrists and ankles like they used to be, instead, the chains are around the minds of the people, from the youngest age possible and forward. You don't need chains to enslave people today. The word slaves has been replaced with the modern day word for slavery, "useful idiots". The Democrat party has lots of slaves, or "useful idiots". Not that I have much hope in the Republican party of 'pray the rosery to end....', and we wonder why we are under God's judgment.

What is called Christianity in the Country, most of it, deserves God's judgment. I'm not claiming to be the only one who does not need to do better, but it's getting out of hand what passes for Christianity today. And we wonder why a few superficial acts of kindness are not enough to keep God's wrath off of our country. On the good side, He only chastises those who He loves. Maybe we get our own A.D. 70 one day. I was alive when we had no national debt. I seen what it used to be. It was nothing like today.

Sermon on the Mount, follow it, do it, and teach it. If you do these, you will be labeled a communist, unless those on the receiving end are the only ones receiving these blessings.
Yeshua would be labeled the same, were He to come back and teach again, thanks be to Him, when He returns all will have been accomplished.
 
I'm 100% American by birth. That heritage isn't contingent on contemporary governments policies or partisan behaviors.
My country was founded as one nation in the light and spirit of God.

The behaviors of men does not encroach upon the sovereignty of God.

To those that think we the people are not worthy of God's Blessings,I say, speak of yourself alone.

Because real Americans don't cower to evil. We don't bend to perversion given rights by policy. We don't run when it appears the Devil's minions are gaining ground.

We stand in our faith upon our birthright. We know this too shall pass. We brave the slings and arrows of those who would think to take our nation from us. By thought or deed.
We the people know, cowards are forever so. While Patriots live and die unafraid. Because this is home. Until God calls us unto His.


You are allowed to hate this land. You are allowed to think the worst of our country and our people. You're even allowed to think God should give us His worst.

But realize one factual thing. We the people are entitled to think you a fool. And if you are of another land, an ungrateful foreigner and fool. Who hates us until your government needs us.

And if it so happens you are a citizen of this nation while hating her too, we are also entitled to freely say, you're a traitor and liar.

God Blesses America! Still.

That really ticks off our enemies.

It seems the majority coming in here have no idea of the true circumstances experienced by the original colonies before the Declaration of Independence.

My understanding of history stems from public education in Long Beach, California from 1948 through 1962, and nothing like what is being "preached" here about the founding fathers seems to be known.

All who will, will continue spreading the negationists' view of the reasons for the escape from Europe for the pilgrims. They were fleeing religious persecution by denominations of Europe.

The Constitution WAS drafted with the intent of allowing total freedom of belief as long as it was according to the Constitution (The Constitution allowed for people of all denominations, religions and even for n nonbelievers.)

I will NOT elaborate on this further, however, as one who believes our Maker, I always keep in mind, "What has God to do with Caesar?" Like the Sermon on the Mount, this teaching has come to be totally ignored, as is the OT.

Caesar is not mentioned in the Sermon on the Mount. Caesar is referred to in the Olivet Discourse.

I think Americans know more about our history and founders than you credit us.

LOL You're right. I was told that we had no debt back in the early seventies. I never investigated it, so... There was some. I think most of that debt was due to WW2. It's said that the Korean and Vietnam wars were funded by raising taxes. It's also said that based on everything else, the debt actually shrank in the 60s and early 70s.

Anyways, I asked A.I. --- A 286 billion dollar debt in 1960, adjusted for inflation would be 3.24 trillion in todays money. A 354 billion dollar debt in 1970, adjusted for inflation, would be about 3.06 trillion in todays money. In 1979 the debt was 845 billion, adjusted for inflation, would be about 3.92 trillion today. In 1989, that national debt climbed to 3 trillion, adjusted for inflation would be about 8.11 trillion today.
