God's name reveals his characteristics and blessings to mankind.
Which the name of Jehovah represents physical salvation and physical blessings on earth.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Rom 14:11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Which the name of Jesus represents spiritual salvation and spiritual blessings.
The name Jesus is the name above all names even in the world to come.
And the name of Jesus is above the name of Jehovah for it reveals God's character and blessings on a higher level.
Why do people use any Old Testament name of God.
Will you dishonor God by using another name than Jesus.
Will you revert back to the Old Testament with blessings that are inferior to spiritual salvation.
Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
The name of the Father is Jesus.
Heb 1:4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
The Son inherited the name Jesus.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Ghost comes in the name of Jesus.
Jesus is the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
The name is singular and those are titles.
Jesus is the name.
That is why Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans were baptized in the name of Jesus in the book of Acts.
Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
If everything we do in word and tongue do all in the name of Jesus why would we use the titles.
Jesus is God's name in the New Testament and not an Old Testament name.
