The Parable of the Ten Virgins does not refer to the church

Believers have two statuses, one is the bride of Christ, but the other is that they are servants of the Lord. So it is reasonable to look at these ten as a complete number of "servants of the Lord". But they have a very specific function, to watch for the Lord's return. This parable is telling us that many of those who were very keen to watch for the Lord's return, especially after Israel returned to the land, they have fallen asleep. Not all, the complete number would be 12. So 10 out of 12 fell asleep and are woken up by the Midnight cry. So this is telling you that prior to the Day of the Lord starting there will be a 9 year period, where the number of those declaring the Day of the Lord is about to start and pointing to prophecies from the Bible being fulfilled will increase greatly. Before you had "prophecy watchers" and "prophecy club" but during this period interest in prophecy will increase greatly. However, half of the lamps will go out because they are like those seeds sown in rocky places without much root.

The "Ten Virgins" refer to Ten Feast of Trumpets spanning a nine year period from 2017 to 2026. The Midnight Cry is the Great sign in Revelation 12 and the manchild is prefigured by Josiah who is made king when he is 8. Feast of Trumpets in 2017 was September 20-22, Feast of Trumpets in 2026 is September 11-13, so even though it has been "nine years" the manchild born in 2017 is still 8 years old on September 11, 2026.

There is a key principle in Bible interpretation given us by Peter and it is that no prophecy is of a private interpretation. There is one author of the Bible and so all prophecies, every interpretation must align with the entire scripture. There is absolutely nothing elsewhere in scripture that would say the church is represented by ten bridesmaids.

The bride is part of the church.
Paul addresses this in his depiction of the different classes of believers.

(Eph 5:25) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

Where are we told that only part of the church is the bride?

Let's look at the "bridesmaids" theory of yours.
We see that word, (actually "virgin"), also Translated in 1 cor 7....3 SEPERATE TIMES.
...as "virgin".

I assume you are reading a NIV.
So, you started your teaching from a handicapped starting place.

It doesn't say who they are. It just says that 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. Only those who were ready for the Bridegroom were let in. The others were shut out. You wrote that they were let in later: "They get in later. Martyred for refusing the mark." But the parable says nothing about that. Jesus told the parable to teach people to be ready for His coming.

Actually the parable is using believers, not church or feasts systems.
The 5 wise went immediately ito the marriage chamber.

Jesus raptures this intimate bride pretrib, into the marriage described in the last supper dialogue.

The carnal believers face the ac, and "all" are martyred.

To answer your question directly, no, Jesus is NOT talking about the church. He is talking about individual believers. The five wise bridesmaids represent Jesus' believers who were prepared to persevere in the faith in light of his extended delay. The five foolish bridesmaids represent Jesus' followers who lose hope while Jesus is gone.

The fact that they are bridesmaids is not relevant. Jesus could have told a story about 10 women waiting for a bus; five remained at the bus stop while five gave up and went home. Only the five wise women who didn't give up were able to ride the bus.

They ARE virgins. (who they are)...the church.
Virgins =pure, undefined, set apart.
All 10.
All 10 had oil, lamps, light, were with the strong believers, even sleeping with them, and were waiting onChurch.
They all had that much in order.
All of them.
The game changer was the amount of oil.
The ONLY difference.
No reward for them.
They were carnal believers.
....as we see half the church today.
