But what of the 1000 yr reign of Christ.....?
We are in it now.
Jesus did not take a break from being the king.
But what of the 1000 yr reign of Christ.....?
In short, we should not expect a city like New York city coming out of heaven with its buildings, roads, etc. This city is the collection of saints aligned to the standards and glory of Christ. A "city" after all, may include no buildings. It should be understood to be people who live by the same order. Here, in New Jerusalem, the order originates from the Head: the Lord Christ Jesus.
Yes.I notice that Jesus has a different way of speaking about buildings.
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
Matthew 16:18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
I also heart we are the tent (temple), Jesus is the nail that anchor us, this tent is cleansed by Jesus blood.I notice that Jesus has a different way of speaking about buildings.

There is at present a remnant of Israel within the Church
Wasn't addressed to me but I believe in an open forum we should be able to respond regardless, am I right?

Jesus did not take a break from being the king.
I really would like you to explain this as you see it.
With due respect, it seems to me your interpretation is spiritualizing Rev 20 but literalizing the New Heavens and Earth. I could be said, you can't have it both ways.Mathew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Because there is so much evil in the world, some would not easily entertain the idea that Jesus is reigning as king.
At this time however, we are under the trial of our faith (1Peter 1:7), and He only wants that which is willingly offered.
It is consistent with the narrative in Revelations 20 that there is sin in the kingdom during the thousand year reign,
and as we see in v.3 the adversary is released for a little season, resulting in the final battle which we see in vs.7-9, before the Lord brings His final judgement.
The New heaven and Earth that follows does not have sin, and is eternal.
I am not expecting it to take more than a thousand years to get to that.

As a 1000years is mentioned about 6 times, I'm inclined to take it literally. I see the consummation of the Kingdom of God in an earthly reign of Jesus on earth as King and the Church reigning with Him.As the new heaven and earth is created by God I would expect it to be something beyond the ability of my imagination to comprehend.
We tend to think of "earth" as being the solid structure that we are familiar with, but is God bound to create everything on the vibrational frequency that we are accustomed to now?
Can I pass the ball to you on that one?
Also, how would you explain the Rev. 20 thousand year reign of Jesus?

"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."The Lord left 2000 years ago, day 3 is quickly approaching.
Mathew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

I really appreciate your response and have some more questions to bother you with if you dont mind.
The man of sin has not been revealed yet nor has the temple been erected in which he sits .
The tribulation has not taken its toll on the global economy and eziekiels war has not been fought.
How do you address these issues?
On a different subject what flowers are best to attract bees for my garden?
You probably gathered that my inclination is to think that there is no pre-tribulation raprure.
The man of sin in 2Thessalonians 2 sits in a "naos" which is the word used for the temple of the body of Christ.
"Hayros" is a temple built by hands, and it is likely that this prophesy will be fulfilled without many noticing, hence the deception.
The "Gog Magog" war in Revelations 20 is a global event that comes at the end of the "millennial" reign and immediately before the creation of a new heaven and a new earth.
The "Gog Magog" war in Ezekiel 38 and 39 was a local event (or series of events) involving a person called Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
The children of Magog were also involved, including a number of northern allies that were named.
Ezekiel 38:11 says: "And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,"
Indicating that this happened in the early days of Israel's return from Babylon, before the walls were built.
Ezekiel 39:11 ..."and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog"
The valley of Hamongog means the valley of the multitudes of Gog, and it can be found on old Bible maps.
So I think Rev.20 and Eze.38 are speaking of two events with one thing in common, much like the fall of Babylon in Rev.18.
On the matter of bees in gardens, you could consider growing lavender.
It will attract a multitude of bees, and is a great herb to have.
Probably better to combine that with coriander, as it has a different flowering season.
I keep bees to make money, but am a keen gardener as well.

I'm pretty sure pagan Hitler didn't care about replacement theology... Maybe replacing the world with a 10 foot tall Germanic race in his fantasy land mind.Replacement theology ran straight into the gas chambers of the Holocaust. Martin Luther was one of the biggest instigators of this. Hitler kept his sermons with him, the Nazi's used his sermons to justify what they had done. Both the Catholics and the Protestants repented of this heresy after the Holocaust. But it continues to raise it's ugly head, the devil makes sure of it.
