God is still home in Jerusalem and is still protecting the IDF there as shown in the series 'Against All Odds' 2011 mini-series. Lk 21:20 yes armies will try again to wipe-out Israel, but do they succeed....NO.Sounds a lot more like Jerusalem to me:
Revelations 11: ...the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
Luke 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
Also it sounds like 70 AD.
Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
Apostate Israel was called a Harlot many times in the OT:
Jeremiah 3:6 The Lord said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Yet Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates - not in Jerusalem.Sounds a lot more like Jerusalem to me:

Who do you think is the beast?
when you say jewrusalum is the harlot, you meant the past? Or modern days?I think that the beast that comes out of the sea (the Mediterranean sea) is Rome, and the beast that comes out of the land (looks like a lamb, speaks like a dragon) is Jerusalem.
His 2 horns are the last 2 high priests.
We are also told much detail about the Roman kings.
Revelations 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
At the time John was writing 5 Roman kings had fallen since the birth of Christ: Julius Cesar, Augustus Cesar, Tiberius Cesar, Caligula and Claudius.
One is: Nero Cesar.
The other is not yet come: Galba, who reigned for only 7 months, and thus "continued a short space".
After that the Roman Empire disintegrated into civil war and chaos and was by all appearance dead.
Following the civil wars, the 8th beast Vespasian (69-79AD) "miraculously" arose, and founded the Flavian dynasty.
It was under his son Titus that Jerusalem was destroyed.
The Beast who John was not at liberty to name in person is Nero Cesar.
The number of his name is found when transliterating "Neron Cesar" into Hebrew letters, and adding up the numerical values of those letters.
"They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God."The verse below is very clear that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people in the past, present, and future. This is not symbolic and it is certainly not referring to non-Jews who are Christians.
Ezekiel 37:21-26 -
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
“‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever,

POLITICS! The Satan of this century! If you dig deeper, recent many decades of DC is related to jewrusalam.
Who do you think is the beast?
Yes you can say that.POLITICS! The Satan of this century!
Agreed my friend... but SATAN, the great deceiver, is very evident in the politics of the 20th and 21st centuries... and God has been ever present.Yes you can say that.
But dig deeper, it is spiritual battle between good and evil, God and devil.
Speaking of spiritual battles, I have noticed a lot of secular people are waking up to the idea that the only thing that makes sense of world events today is a spiritual battle - which is hopefully the start of a good thing - awareness wise ?Yes you can say that.

Really? I didn't see that in secular world. I have heard a few news reporters come to that conclusion, but I suppose it depends which way the go with it -they could by pass Christ and go for New Age stuff I suppose - but I am trying to be positiveReally? I didn't see that in secular world. But i hope so.
Wayne, as Christians we KNOW the truth already. Augustus Caesar 29BC - 14 AD
The commencement of the Roman Empire coincided with the birth of Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David
5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
By having Julius Caesar as your first King you are re-writing history to fit your Preterist view.
And I hear you say "but what about Josephus ?" its the go to proof for Preterist
The name "Julius" does not appear in the New Testament, and it does not appear in Josephus’ Wars of the Jews either. As in Mark and Matthew, Wars only uses Caesar as a royal title, never connecting it to the "Julius" that supposedly gave it such great importance.
