Prayer

I use the Bible app for my daily reading. I also do the verse of the day and guided scripture in the morning and the guided prayer at night as a kind of prayer starter for my prayer time. I utilize the prayer list feature as well and keep a list of people/situations I would like to pray about. Sometimes though, in saying my prayer I might forget to actually name the person or event or whatever it was. Do you think it still counts to God that I wanted to pray for it because I wrote it down even if I forget to mention the persons name while I’m praying? I guess what I’m trying ask is, is just thinking and adding a person to my prayer list enough? I do try to mention a blanket statement like “ all the people and situations on the church prayer list and my own personal prayer list” sometimes I forget to say that too though. I figure God knows my heart and that I was truly thinking of that person at the time and wrote their name down.
I know, I think about weird things. What are your thoughts?

You have said it! Our Father knows exactly what is on our hearts. No reason to feel He does or will not.

'Let us pray to believe that our prayers are acceptable when coming from
a sincere heart. I believe our Lord knows our hearts and hopefully God's Divine
Holy Spirit helps guide us in remembrance of right things to pray about, knowing prayer
is our quiet time of contemplation with the presence of God.

Sometimes I get so busy in prayers I have to remind myself to shut up and just listen. God knows what we need before we ask. While He wants to hear, He wants even more to have our relationship. In my rush I forget to listen and to seek His comfort and rest. (And I surely need those)!

Jesus forever lives to make intercession for us, so it is a good thing that you are interceding for others as well.

I've wonder this myself so many times!!!!
