Sounds to me, brightfame52 that he is saying salvation, in its totality, is given by God as His free gift unto those whom He saves
Yes he agrees with you or vice versa. I heard a guy today say that faith here belongs to the Spirit because Faith is the fruit of the Spirit Gal 5:22

Yeah, I think Eph 2:8 is saying the gift is actually God Himself given by His indwelling of those He saves. With His indwelling, grace and faith accompany Him because they are of Him. So, both are His gifts as the verse states, yet come from His presence within His saved.

[Eph 2:8 KJV] 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Say no more, you advocating works.

🤔If anything?
You are a work that chosen believers get assigned to.

For God's grace is able to work in good things to transform the faithful believer when someone like you and him cross paths.

Thanks for the spiritual growth!

Romans 8:28.

Jesus was advocating it.

Jesus replied, “This is the work of God—that you believe in the One He has sent." John 6:29
It is our work.
Jesus did not say.... “This is the work of God—that He makes you believe in the One He has sent."

IOW, God initiates; sinners may cooperate--or not.

Unfortunately, free willers, Pelagian heretics, and those with CDS refuse to comply with that standard, as they
routinely contradict and outright deny a plethora of explicitly articulated verses in favor of their opinion.

Never anything positive. Just constant condemnation of others and judgement the Bible explicitly states is not your territory. You appear to think your unfortunate words change the truth of scripture.

You, do not see what is right in front of you and that is what is unfortunate. All this while you shadow Calvinism and say you are not a Calvinist.

You are certainly not a linguist or translator of ancient languages and you say others choose not to believe your routinely sorted plethora of 'explicitly articulated' verses that you present as the gospel, yet, they are not the gospel. The shadow you cast is large and in the shape of your opinions.

You advocating works salvation, and virtue salvation

Maybe you should get some of that virtue. Patience, a fruit of the Holy Spirit, is considered a virtue. It would also prove beneficial in helping you to quit snarking at others as an exuse for no actual rebuttal.

No. Faith is not a fruit of the Spirit. The verse says FAITHFULNESS which is not the same thing.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

I don't think you understood the 'guy', whoever he may be and you certainly have not properly read the verse you posted

Scripture plainly states

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Eph. 2:10

Now argue with that and add a little mockery while you are at.

Yes it is Gal 5:22

I showed you that you are wrong. Twisting scripture to suit your purposes or mock others, as you often do, is a very dangerous platform from which to shout your error(s).

Let the wise read the verse and determine what it actually states.

I don't think it's possible to have an actual conversation with you. You ignore scripture, twist scripture and make comments at others
(notice I said at and not to) that show you have zero interest in anything but your own lack of understanding. If not that, then you post copy/paste from your prophet who thinks the lineage of Jesus in scripture is wrong.

Yes...
That is what took place in Romans 1:18-ff

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness
of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God
is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world
God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being
understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but
their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed
to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made
to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the
degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie,
and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural
sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations
with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other
men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave
them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
They chose not to retain the knowledge of God!
Knowledge that God had initiated to them first!

grace and peace .......
