You understand neither the magnificence of heaven or the devastation of hell if you believe this.

When what we believe butts up against what is true, the outcome should be the adjustment of our beliefs and not the adjustment of truth. If heaven were worse to the heathen than hell, why not make a place like heaven for them to suffer in?
Your words and thinking are so scrambled, they make no sense.

Sinners reject the light because they love darkness. So if they never repent and turn to the light, they will remain in darkness forever.

There cannot be a “place like heaven for them to suffer in”. Your unbiblical imagination violates the truth of scripture. Heaven is not a place to suffer in.

You think a God rejecter could somehow prefer heaven to hell, but a person who hates God cannot be happy in heaven. They will not be happy in hell either.

God is love. He allows souls to go to hell if they reject Him. It would be unloving for God to force them into Heaven, where their soul is incompatible, and where they would taint Heaven with their unforgiven and unrepented sin.

Does He Love them while He is torturing them forever with no relief in site ?
Quote a verse that says God is torturing souls in hell.

Does the Calvinist version of God torture people?

What torments souls in hell is their conscience now fully awakened.

Weeping and gnashing of teeth is never said to be provoked by God.

  • Psalm 136:1: "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."
  • Psalm 118:1: "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! Because His mercy endures forever."
  • Psalm 107:1: "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever."
  • Psalm 100:5: "For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations."

Thats all of us by nature, sinners. It can change only if Christ makes the change and gives us repentance and save us Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

See that ? A Saviour gives repentance !

At least I now know why you believe God loves everyone.

Matt 25:41
You did not quote the verse, you just gave a reference to it.

But it does not say God is torturing them.

Sin and conscience are what torments sinners.

Matthew 25:41

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

I did no such thing. I merely pointed out that the Bible records that God is righteous in all His ways, but doesn't say He is loving in all His ways.

Do you believe God is acting in love towards someone He casts into hell?

How can God be righteous without being loving when love is the fruit of His Holy Spirit?! Double-think?
God casts no one into hell; evil souls reap what they sow. Do not blame God for their sin.

TULIP tortures truth.

If you would like to learn from a rare pastor/scholar, who regularly quoted the King James to start that days lesson...
But, would then proceed to exegete and give a corrected translation.
It becomes a real eye opener.
And, best of all... You will find yourself pleased to find that passages that gave us problems make total sense when correctly translated.

Thanks for the link.

Interestingly, I am viewing videos and teaching of Dr. Michael Heiser, and he mentions R.B. Thieme Jr as reference or similar teaching. If you are familiar with Heiser, he is all about understanding how the original authors thought/believed and how that
reflects on we view or I guess should reflect, since there is a massive difference between modern thought/application and them.

I will listen to Thieme's teaching. Interesting

I will listen to Thieme's teaching. Interesting
Hal Lindsey dedicated his Late Great Planet Earth to Thieme who was antinomian. The type of antinominanism can be gaged from Lindsey's dictum that if you look to the Bible for a command about what you should or should not do, then you are not walking in the Spirit.

Some followers of Thieme made a point of profane speach, etc. to demonstrate their freedom from legalism. Also Thieme tended to be authoritarian in his approach to people. This goes with antinomianism, because there is no law of God to restrain him.

Thieme had a lot of followers around the country who stopped going to church and stayed home and listened to his tapes instead.

He thought and taught that life begins at birth so abortion is a matter of choice between a woman and her doctor rather than what it is, murder.

He taught that everyone has their "right pastor" meaning that they can't grow spiritually unless they are under their "right pastor's" authority and that they should listen exclusively to him (their right pastor). He also taught that Christian's can't read the Bible and derive any spiritual benefit from it but that rather, the Holy Spirit would so superintend your learning from him (Thieme or your "right pastor") as to prevent you from learning anything that was false from him (Thieme or your "right pastor").

He came up with all sorts of charts and equations to teach his particular doctrines that were like the gospel on crack.

Look, I don't know all the ins and outs but it sounds like you are telling me to avoid him. I'll make up my own mind and I think you would also not care for Heiser. Thanks :)

For that matter, take a look at all the so called followers of Jesus and the actions they display. Take this thread for example.

I'm curious though, where did you get this info? Wiki? Wiki states he believed in biblical inerrancy. So......from whence cometh all the dire warnings?

Hmmmm...... somehow that sounds somewhat taken out of context.....

Is God loving those He casts into hell?

Do you know God at all? Or are you just that ignorant of the Bible?

Here is a primer.

41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, 42saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43;For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

Yes, God still loves. He does not rejoice in the death of anyone. If you did not believe in Calvinism, even though of course you do not; you just act like a wraith of some kind hovering around, you would understand that God is not stoking the fires of hell with humans and their offspring.

You have conjured up an image of God that fits the devil.

I'm not going to bother with whatever calcified and deeply unthought out response you might care to offer. Been there, done that.

We do not believe Reformed theology is a sect or branch of Christianity, we believe reformed theology is a synonym for biblical Christianity.

John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. “

No man can come to me (T)
except the Father (U)
which hath sent me draw him (I)
and I will raise him (L)
at the last day. (P)

My reply >>> lol
It was your sig @HeIsHere that inspired the media, "
"Truly I tell you, that THIS generation will certainly not pass away until all those THESE things have happened"
Matthew 24:34"

Thanks!

If you google something like “errors of RB Thieme”, you will find many opinions about him. It is worth investigating what others have said about Thieme.

Rich Keller M.Div., November 2019 — Many modern-day theologians have espoused this view such as R.B. Thieme. He held that Genesis 1 represented a creation that "was instantaneous from the hand of God" and that "the six-day period recorded in Genesis 1:3-31 is not a description of the original creation, but that it represented a "preparation of the earth for habitation".

If you think it is correct to exalt righteousness above love, you are wrong.

Righteousness without love was the mode of the Pharisees.

1 John 4:8

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Wrong,
G-d is holy, hoiy is the summation of all G-d's characteristics. He cannot love at the expense of His righteousness., let alone justic, etc.
G-d is not love. G-d is holy love. G-d is not righteous, G-d is holy righteous, G-d is not Just, G-d is holy Just, etc.
But because the verse doesn't explicitly lay down a several-page sound bite of everything said before, it'll be selectively pulled out of context.

On it's face value if G-d is love, whatever that means, worldly, carnal, etc., then there's no reason for the propitiation and atonement. That is, despite what you make up or reject like eternal conscious torment. No difference between what you expressed and unbelievers, especially humanists and Pelagians.

You cannot be systematic if you believe in tulip, because a systematic study of every tulip prooftext in context reveals that God loves everyone and does not show favoritism.
