"The foolish virgins bought oil? No, they did not. That opportunity had passed. Because you see, they FOOLISHLY thought that they would never need the oil."】

They went and got oil.
Mat 25:10
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

No—the text never says that they successfully bought oil.

Matthew 25:10 says:

“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came…”

The Greek is ἀπερχομένων δὲ αὐτῶν ἀγοράσαι:

“While they were going away in order to buy…”

The infinitive ἀγοράσαι expresses their purpose, not a completed purchase. Jesus does not say:

“After they had bought oil, they returned.”

He deliberately leaves their shopping expedition unresolved. What matters is that they were absent when the bridegroom arrived.

What happened when they returned?

Verse 11 says:

“Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.”

Again, it does not say:

  • they found a seller;
  • they purchased oil;
  • their torches were now burning;
  • they returned properly prepared.

They are simply called “the other virgins.” Their appeal is based on recognition—“Lord, Lord”—but the bridegroom answers:

“Verily I say unto you, I know you not.”

Therefore, their exclusion is no longer merely a logistical problem involving lamp fuel. Their deeper problem is that they do not belong to the bridegroom as recognized participants.

No doubt you changed it though.
It DOES NOT AT ALL SAY THAT.

The 7 letters to the 7 churches have.
Things that need fixing and things that displease the Lord.
He tells them what the consequences are. But he doesn't say, "now You have Lost your salvation".
Here let me help you:

Matthew 25 parable of the 10 bridesmaids is post Church Age.
OK? All of this is AFTER THE RAPTURE has already occurred.

This is why you will never make sense as regards Matt 25.

It can be conclusively proven that the 7 year tribulation has a substantially altered salvation dynamic than the Church age.

Good grief man, the rapture is a fait accompli at least 7 years prior.
There is no time to trim torches, add oil to torches, or busy oneself with ANY activity after the harpazo SHOUT/TRUMPET, because the translation occurs instantaneously.

In this parable, the SHOUT spurs the virgins into frenetic activity. Which of course matches the Hebrew wedding sequence to perfection. This is post-rapture and we are now preparing for step 12, the final step, the WEDDING FEAST upon the earth.
Nope.
The setting is pretrib rapture.
Not only that, but the innumerable number are already in heaven, as often behind martyrs by the time of your supposed, postrib rapture.
The wedding feast is in heaven as Jesus said..
You have go by what is said.
The groom takes the bride to the Fathers house.
The wedding and feast is at the fathrrs house.
You have the groom and virgins returning to earth,(the bride's home...way out of place)

Jesus had just finished a previous picture of the pre-tribulation rapture. In Matthew, 24, and Jesus clearly and vividly, places the "one taken" before the flood. And Noah gathered into the Ark preflood (pretrib).
The 50% taken is pretrib, so it cannot be anything but the preTribulation rapture, then Jesus follows up with the Virgin. Parable, (also with fifty percent taken to heaven). The father's house...heaven.

Reread it

Matthew 25
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

They went and got oil.
And interestingly, the text infers that this supposed sincere effort to buy oil was just another fraud.
Christ will never fail to secure ALL of those who seek Him.
Furthermore, Christ Jesus knows who are His and forgets nor loses any of His sheep.

Gen 18:32
Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

Jhn 18:9
that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “Of those whom You gave Me I have lost none.”

Oh and before I forget, the prayers of Jesus never fail. Right?

Jhn 17:20
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Mat 25:10

Send someone to buy an item, then say "it would be impossible for them to return with the item" ????
Huh?????
The only way they can come back is without the item.?????
Them purchasing what was gone after is ALWAYS IMPOSSIBLE????
Who agrees with this???
I think you are reaching out of normal thought.

When you say "torches" are you implying they did not have oil lamps?

There you go, you have just disproven your own thesis.

Your entire thesis is wrong, and it has already decisively proven to be wrong. Re-read my posts.

You have an uphill battle to get a grip on what is actually going on here.

Enjoy.

You are leaning and assuming they did not get any oil.
Basing your position on 4. Or 5 false assumptions not plausable, then tossing off the table every dynamic that is simply in line with the story.
You are changing what is said, and what is implied.

Too general.
As if you can not debate me.

Here let me help you:
The foolish virgins went on a foolish quest to not really buy oil.

Oh, and the Groom is already gone by the time they return.....WITH NO OIL.
Oh and guess Who is He that has the oil that they so desperately need?
Well, the foolish did not go to Him for the oil did they?

Because you see, they are.......foolish.

The rapture is pretrib.
All rapture verses are pretrib.
There is ZERO THERE...NADA.. EITHER pointing to, inferring, or stating the parable is postrib.

In fact buying and selling is DEFINATELY pretrib setting.

The changes you have made;
* Bridesmaids instead of virgins...which you were asked to elaborate on with evidence from Paul and Jesus of some such dynamic of bridesmaids raptured to the wedding...with no bride.
* the foolish never had oil, when it CLEARLY SAYS "Our lamps have gone out"
* I know you not....becomes "i never knew you".
* Oil lamps become torches.

It is ok to speculate, but in line with making sense, and not changing the parable.

You have thrown down what is inferred with the oil running out, buying oil, and Jesus separating the bride from carnal believers.

You are making the rapture of the bride into a salvation dynamic, and seem to not understand some believers are worthy vs some not worthy.
What will you do at the bema seat when those WORTHY of crowns get some, and some carnal nominal believers get none???
Expect those not worthy to be sent to hell???
No, they did not QUALIFY for the reward.
( the exact dynamic of 5 wise saved believers, vs 5 foolish believers.)

You are thinking carnal believers get the same reward as the ones intimate and on fire for Jesus.
Or do you just poo poo every dynamic you did not think of?????

Ok.
Now I see why you need to change virgins to bridesmaids.
Clear what you are doing.
Not in the bible.

Good grief man, the ten virgins with torches are for a midnight procession for the bride. They lead the bride, not follow her. What is the point of having a torch lit parade for the bride and groom if they are not there?

Thanks for proving that Matthew 25 is post-rapture buddy.... ;)

There you go. The foolish did not even know from Whom to obtain "oil". The wise had oil because they knew to ask and knew WHO to ask and knew where it came from. Agreed?

[Rev 3:18 KJV] 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

[Mat 25:9 KJV] 9 But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

So then, if the parable of the ten virgins does not refer to the church who does it refer to? I would say it refers to the whole body of the priests. All believers are priests to God. Our job as priests is to lead others to the Lord, or in this case to the wedding feast. Our job is to serve the bride of Christ, the church. Half of these priests are prepared for this task, half aren't. The full body of the priesthood was 288, and so the half that are ready to guide believers to the wedding feast during the seven year tribulation would be 144 virgins, or in the case at the end of the age, 144,000 virgins.
So, in your mind, are the “priests” who serve the Bride not the Bride?
