They are beautiful! I probably wouldn't be able to stop touching them if they were around. Hard not to touch fuzzy plants!
Here's a pic I took of evening primrose in my front yard late last spring. It started showing up several years ago. I love the evening time and I love seeing them bloom as the day is drawing to a close.
These remind me of this bouquet of Canterbury Bells my daughter gifted me for Mother's Day a couple of year ago. This picture is dated over a month later!
I thought I'd see how well a portulaca would fare on my patio this spring not realizing it closes up for the night. It might be my new favorite and is sitting pretty in my 'featured' hanging basket. I'll post a pic of it once it wakes up.
How smashing! I'm reminded of my grandmother. She had an old, long cattle trough in front of her business in the country. She had her moss planted in there (she called it moss, my mother called it purslane). When people pulled in, they were greeted by those beautiful flowers. One of these days, when I'm not back and forth between places, I'll grow my own and many other flowers (Lord willing).
