I would love to hear some good news for a change in the news but that seems to be asking too much. 🤨
No that can't be true, Trump said we won. Now only ships belonging to certain countries are allowed to traverse the strait and they have to pay toll. That is a huge victory! Um, wait...so US and Israel ships are not allowed to traverse the strait and the toll is paid to Iran, not the US. Why would Trump say that we had won, that sure looks like we lost.

It doesn't seem like we won. I am really trying to stay positive but my hope for America's future is almost nonexistent. I really hate feeling that way but it is what it is. :(

I could use some prayer. 🙏
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Iran is in shambles. Economically, politically, militarily.
It has been wrecked, its leaderless, and broke.
Also, the blockade must be taking a huge toll.

They also ruined their relationship with the gulf nations.
So all in all, they got wrecked.

Oil and gas are going to go sky high and so they'll make money back that way and they now are charging a 7% toll on all traffic on the Strait, that will be a huge money maker for them. They are dug in and can wait it out to the election, by that time the global economy will be in total crisis and inflation will be massive. And now they are talking about firing missiles from Iran to hit the US, apparently they have missiles with a 9,000 mile range. If they succeed in doing this then BRICS will replace the US dollar as the reserve currency. This is existential for the US and you can be sure that China and Russia will support Iran in this endeavor.

I believe that America is in serious trouble and a global economic crisis and massive inflation is nearer than we think.

Once everything crashes and burns, what will be their solution? The great reset?

Iran CRIPPLED the US War Machine — Russia Sees Its Opening | Scott Ritter

Here's a summary of this panel discussion (appears to be a Judge Napolitano-hosted show with Scott Ritter, Larry Johnson, and Pepe Escobar):

IDF/CIA intelligence-sharing bill: The panel discusses a Tom Cotton-backed, White House-endorsed proposal to merge US and Israeli intelligence and military structures. Ritter calls it an existential threat to American sovereignty, arguing Israel is classified by US counterintelligence as a critical espionage threat, citing the Jonathan Pollard case as evidence Israel has previously sold US secrets to adversaries. Johnson frames the growing pro/anti-Zionist split within the Republican Party as comparable to the slavery-driven split of the Whig Party in 1854, citing a conversation with a former Trump campaign figure now disillusioned over Israel policy.

Strait of Hormuz: Escobar reports that a near-final Iran-Oman technical agreement would give Iran's IRGC Navy jurisdiction over incoming shipping traffic and roughly half of outgoing traffic through the Strait. He plays a clip of a senior Iranian military adviser demanding full US withdrawal from the Persian Gulf as a precondition for ending hostilities. Ritter speculates Trump could seek a face-saving deal with Oman for partial US involvement in strait security, allowing him to claim credit rather than admit defeat.

US military depletion: Ritter argues US munitions stockpiles for Middle East operations are nearly exhausted, forcing draw-downs from Pacific and European theaters, and claims commanders are warning this weakens deterrence against China and Russia. He asserts this is driving a shift toward earlier potential use of tactical nuclear weapons in a future conflict. Johnson pushes back on blaming Defense Secretary Hegseth alone, noting that roughly 78% of key US weapons systems depend on rare-earth minerals controlled by China, making rapid rearmament structurally difficult regardless of funding. A Trump press clip is shown in which he denies munitions shortages while acknowledging some systems are "tighter" than others.

Iran's strategic position: Escobar says Iranian leadership closely studies US political and economic pressures and is confident in its position, citing exhausted US stockpiles, strained Gulf basing, and looming fuel-reserve constraints.

Ukraine/Russia: Ritter and Johnson describe major Russian gains, including cutting off Ukrainian Black Sea ports, expanded strikes on infrastructure, and a new front near Chernihiv, characterizing this as decisive momentum toward Ukraine's collapse as a functioning state.

Iran-Ukraine incident: Escobar recounts Ukraine apologizing after allegedly striking an Iranian vessel in the Caspian, and describes Russia signaling it would handle any future Ukrainian escalation there itself.

Today gas is $4/gallon and diesel is $5/gallon in town.
That seems like a lot to me when one campaign promise was energy Independence. He said there would be new refineries all over America and drill baby drill if I remember right. Was I dreaming?

Good News! Iran has agreed to make peace!

All they require is that the US be banned from the Strait, ships transiting the strait pay them a toll and the US pay for damages incurred during the war!

Seyed M. Marandi: Iran Just Issued 6 Demands — and Won't Reopen Hormuz Until America Obeys

Summary

The conversation covers escalating tension in the Strait of Hormuz. Two tanker incidents are reported — a UAE vessel reportedly hit by missile, and a separate vessel near Omani waters that appears to have been boarded and seized. Saudi Arabia issued a statement blaming Iran, which Mohandi dismisses as largely symbolic given Saudi/UAE tensions and Yemen's military successes against the Saudi-led coalition.

Key points from Mohandi's analysis:
  • Oman-Iran talks: A first draft of an agreement reportedly exists, but is not finalized. Iran is expected to retain oversight of shipping corridors (initially two, merging into one), collect transit fees, and give preferential treatment to countries that didn't participate in strikes on Iran.
  • Expanded demands: Unlike the earlier MOU, Iran now intends to explicitly include Gaza and Yemen as negotiating issues, not just Lebanon.
  • New Saudi/Pakistan/Turkey military pact: Mohandi assesses this as directed at Yemen, not Israel, and unlikely to shift the balance — he argues Yemen holds the stronger position militarily and economically after years of failed Saudi-led war.
  • Iraqi resistance: Reportedly postponed a planned attack on Saudi Arabia after a $500 million payment from the US to Iraq (Iraq's own oil revenue, released back to it).
  • Economic angle: Gulf states are said to be under financial strain from the prolonged blockade/disruption, potentially needing to repatriate funds from Western markets (paralleled to Japan's bond-selling pressure), which Mohandi frames as bad news for the US economy and undermines Trump's hopes for Gulf investment.
  • Statement timing: Partway through the discussion, Iran's Supreme National Security Council released a new statement, which is read aloud.

The Six Demands (Iranian Supreme National Security Council statement)

  1. The US must stop threatening or insulting Iran and its people.
  2. Permanently end war and aggression against Iran and its allies — Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq.
  3. Lift the naval blockade and withdraw US naval and air forces from the area surrounding Iran.
  4. Pay damages for the two wars waged against Iran.
  5. Lift sanctions against the Iranian people.
  6. Unconditionally release Iran's frozen/seized assets.

The statement adds that these reflect demands from ongoing public demonstrations (described as 160 days running) and that the Council will not back down, "whether in war or in negotiations."

Yep using million dollar missiles to shoot down 50 thousand dollar drones when only three or four are even armed is so not 2026. And with the national debt doubling since 2016 more debt is expected until the major superpowers realize this isn't grandpappy's world anymore.

Hey brother, hope you've been well.

I think there are a great many things to be concerned about, genuinely, but I can't see a missile hitting the continental U.S..
If that were to ever happen, the citizens would give political support to a full ground invasion, and then Iran would be gone.

(The game Iran is playing is the game of separating the administration FROM public sentiment via PR and economic crisis. I can't see them doing anything to close that gap, and to destroy the only viable strategy they have.)

God Bless, and hope you have a wonderful Sunday.

Scott Ritter made a very interesting point, it is an inference, if he had actual evidence to back this up it would be treasonous to share it, but he infers that the reason they are changing the policy concerning the use of tactical nukes is because they need to have a policy in place on what to do if we are attacked by China or Russia and so Trump is taking away the weapons that are reserved for those possibilities therefore he needs a new policy, hence the use of tactical nukes as the new policy.

Now the scary part of this is that many people have theorized that the strategy that Russia and Iran are deploying is a rope a dope strategy, let the US drop all their bombs on their mountains while they stay down in the bunkers. So the movement of the amunition from the other theaters is an opening for Russia and China to invade Europe and Taiwan. Now you can drop a nuke on a Russian city, but that is simply a war crime and does nothing to stop an invading army that is already in Poland or some other NATO nation.
