Yes, we have plenty of oil because there has been tremendous amount of damage done to refineries in Russia, Iran, and the Middle East. Only refineries purchase oil, fewer refineries buying oil means there is plenty of oil for the refineries not damaged. The issue is with the crack spread, this is why the price of diesel has increased 54% in the US. This is why Russia, a major exporter, has started importing refined products. In Europe the price of fertilizer is up by as much as 40%, another product of refineries.

Yes, the problem is not crude oil, the problem is these damaged refineries can take 18 months to 2 years to repair. No doubt ten years from now the world can have adjusted, but in the meantime diesel prices and fertilizer prices and the prices of other refined products like pesticides and herbicides are going to result in tremendous inflation and famine.

Six months ago this was seen as a worst case scenario, today it is baked it and unavoidable.

Leavitt will travel with the president to the RNC’s first-ever 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, September 9-10 in Dallas — the party’s largest gathering in a decade. A communist-linked coalition has already vowed to swarm the same event to disrupt it. Leavitt will be there wearing the PAC’s colors instead of standing behind the press podium.
She’s leaving the West Wing to spend more time with her newborn, and Trump publicly thanked her, calling her “𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳”.
