President Trump touted a new Department of Homeland Security review of state voter rolls and public records that identified roughly 𝟐𝟕𝟖,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 registered to vote in federal elections — and the White House says the true number is likely higher, since several Democrat-run states refused to share their full voter files.

He also flagged a system that still runs 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐃 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 while tens of millions of mail ballots float through the postal system for weeks. As an example of the dysfunction, Trump noted California's June 2 mayoral and gubernatorial races weren't fully certified until July 10 — 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 to count the votes.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement just confirmed something Rep. 𝐈𝐥𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 has spent months denying: there is an 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 against her, and it is active enough that the government will not let the public see the file.

Border czar Tom Homan has confirmed the Department of Homeland Security is examining whether Omar committed 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐝 when she married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and Vice President JD Vance says the Justice Department is now reviewing the matter as well, with Attorney General 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞 rumored to be personally involved. Omar denies all of it, calling the claims “𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴.” No court records or DNA evidence have ever been made public to settle it either way — which is exactly why ICE citing an active enforcement exemption matters. This is no longer just a Trump talking point. It is now the government’s own paperwork.

The Supreme Court handed President Trump a major election-integrity win on August 24, lifting a lower court’s injunction 6-3 and clearing the way for his mail-ballot executive order — DHS compiling and sharing citizenship data with states, Justice Department prosecution priority for voter fraud, and new USPS ballot-design rules — all ahead of the November midterms.
Days earlier, the Census Bureau dropped a number Democrats really didn’t want out before those midterms. A new data-match of roughly 128 million 2020 voter records against federal immigration and visa files found 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎 that belonged to people who were likely not U.S. citizens at the time they voted — and 𝟑𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 still haven’t been checked.

Not everyone agrees the number tells the whole story. Former Census Director Robert Santos has called the release a 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐣𝐨𝐛, and critics note 24,000 votes wouldn’t have flipped a national race decided by millions. Fair. But nobody disputes the number is real, or that 32 million more ballots were never checked at all.
That’s the gap the honor system leaves open — and the gap Trump’s executive order and the SCOTUS ruling are aimed at closing before November.

CIA Director 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞 made an unannounced overnight trip to Moscow this week — his first since taking the job, and the highest-level U.S. visit to Russia since January (Bloomberg, CBS News). The Kremlin confirmed it, though spokesman Dmitry Peskov was careful to specify Ratcliffe met Russian intelligence counterparts, not Vladimir Putin himself.
The trip landed as Russia-Ukraine peace talks have stalled out, with reports indicating Washington asked Kyiv to hold off on strikes while the delegation was on the ground (CNN, Axios).
Asked about it on Glenn Beck's show, Trump ran through the theories already spreading online — that Putin is testing NATO's resolve, that a strike on Britain is coming, that the trip was really about enforcing the new Iran sanctions. His answer:

Notice the irony: a law sold as protection against doxxing and harassment didn’t stop anyone from getting doxxed or harassed. It just changed who was standing in the street getting swarmed — and this time, CHP was arresting the side throwing punches, not the side holding cameras.
