Correct.

No - there will be no Judaism during the Millennium - all is-and-will-be Christ.
There will be a new Temple built and functional for the millennium. Ezekiel 40:1-48:35

One scholar I learn from stated that he believed the sacrifices in the Millennium will not be for man's sins.
But they will be performed as memorials to the work of Christ on the Cross!
Similar meaning to what happens when we now take communion.

Ny. Has more jews than Israel, exaggerating a little.

That's true. When we try to give them Jesus message, they always say no.
I am from NY.

I think the real problem might be?
It is what they would say behind your back.

If you sound like a real goy to them, they will be offended, just like I would have felt before I got saved.
That is why God had Peter be the apostle to the Jews, but not everyone.
Not everybody could be.

Judaism has always been around, since Jews have been carrying on with the covenant by circumcision, don't think they'll ever stop that custom, the one God told them to do.

Jerusalem was the apple of God's eye because it was the capital of Israel and had His temple.

I don't think those living outside of Jerusalem can really do much about the way it's now governed. Everyone wanted a piece of it at some stage in history.

When empires couldn't conquer it they just set up somewhere else, eg Rome, Constantinople/Istanbul, Vatican City... and other religions had their own centres eg 'The Forbidden City' Beijing, Mecca, Salt Lake City, Tel Aviv...most Capital cities are in strategic places in the centre of things so really location location location

Since Jesus predicted the temple would be destroyed (and raised up in 3 days through his own body) I don't think it matters too much now...humans just love making new cities and destroying old ones to consolidate their power. It's just the way things were done back in the day...Kingdoms give way to Empires, then republics, or democracies, realms, nations, everyone belongs to one territory or another, one tribe or clan, family or you become a ward of the state if nobody claims you even if you were born in international waters or off the grid.

Somehow, while all this earthly stuff is going on (kingdoms of this world) people constantly fret about who's in power and how they gonna live their lives. Well when you are born again, those things don't seem to matter. Even if you have a total idiot/tyrant in power making everyone's lives miserable and constantly fighting, warmongering or what not, if you are a believer and saved, you have been predestined to inherit all the promises of an eternal, spiritual kingdom through Christ.

Why was it only when the jews returned to the land that enmity began?

To answer the last question you need to turn to the Bible, look in the OT, and read the story of Jacob and Esau once again. Jacob as we know had 12 sons that became the nation of Israel (Jacob wrestled with God and was renamed Israel by God - remember his hipbone was placed out of joint?) Esau remember was cheated out of his birthright by Jacob, but was also willing to give it up for a 'mess of pottage' ie. bowl of venison stew. The boys were twins from birth and were two nations fighting in the womb...the elder was to serve the younger etc. Jacob was second born, Esau was first. Jacob was catching Esaus heel as he was being born.

recall Jacob and Esau's dad was Isaac, and their mother was Rebekah. Isaac was the one who was promised to inherit the blessings of Abraham. Isaac was the son of promise, the 'miracle baby' born of elderly Sarah (not Ishmael, who was born of Hagar). Now here is the problem of twins....their Dad Isaac, who was going blind in his old age, couldn't tell them apart.

Esau's dismissal of his birthright was part of the deception Rebekah (who favoured Jacob) perpetuated...when he found out, he was very sore..but had to accept a lesser blessing. Esau was still blessed but would not inherit the promised land..he was a nomad, a hunter, and would be the father of many.

Jacob had 12 sons, including one called Judah, who, was alloted the parcel of land that included the capital of Jerusalem where God placed his Temple. Jacob (Israel) blessed Judah and said out of Judah would come a royal lineage. Judah was loyal to the covenant and kept up all the customs with the help of the Levites (sons of Levi) who had no allotted land but served as priests in the temple. All the other sons had allotted lands that were promised in the covenant, that made up the nation of Israel.

From Judah we have Judaism...Jews, for short..sons of Judah
