Despite reports of a rift with War Secretary Pete Hegseth, Driscoll publicly thanked him in his first statement since announcing his resignation, saying the Army "could not have" made its recent progress without Hegseth's support.
"It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve as the Secretary of the Army under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth," Driscoll wrote.
