Matt Walsh on X The idea that the holdout juror "refuses to follow the law" is total nonsense. They've been in there for like 40 hours. The guy obviously has not announced that he won't follow the law. He simply disagrees with the other jurors about where the application of the law should lead them in this case. The hectoring women on the jury interpret his disagreement as a defiance of the law itself.

I’ve been saying this all along. If the argument is that Lindsay Clancy should be found not guilty because her mental state made her incapable of being legally responsible for her actions, then we need to have a much bigger conversation about the implications of that argument.

Women cannot demand to be treated as fully capable, independent adults—CEOs, judges, governors, commanders and presidents—while simultaneously embracing the idea that womanhood or postpartum illness automatically removes criminal responsibility when something horrific happens.

You cannot have equality without accountability.

And before anyone twists my words: I’m a woman. I’m not saying women can’t be trusted. I’m saying lowering the standard of accountability for women ultimately undermines the very equality women fought for. Mental illness deserves compassion and treatment. But the lives of Cora, Dawson and Callan Clancy deserve justice, too. Equal rights. Equal responsibility. Equal accountability.

I was going to leave this thread in the put from whence it sprang until I just heard.
The judge is going to declare a mistrial. But has put a one hour stay on the order by request of the defense.

Three men and nine women are impaneled on this jury.

One man refuses to follow the rules for reasonable doubt. And,he's combative and bullying the others.

The judge,prosecutor,defense,
know this. But for 7 days now the judge has let this go hoping they'll reach a decision. The judge even read the instructions regarding reasonable doubt. Which is not to say,beyond any doubt. But the one man is obstinate and refused to budge.

Ideally,though I don't know the rules in Massachusetts, the judge would remove that one man and replace him with an alternate.

Then maybe look into charges against him.

I'm posting about this now because given the post blocks @Lightbeamrider has here,and their attitude,I'm wondering if they're that one male juror?

Seriously.
One hold out for guilt across the board,disobeys the rules of deliberation,and threatens and bullies the other jurors.

It's the 'logical' next step after normalizing killing children in the womb. Literally no words to describe how demonic and evil this all is.

I remember learning in school about how the Aztecs sacrificed their children. I was definitely horrified, and I assume other kids were equally horrified. I could not understand how people could do that to their own children. Fast forward and I see no difference between the Aztecs and modern society. I understand now how it gets to that point.

I was responding to the defense attorney wanting to charge the juror for perjury because he will not agree with the other 11. It was not an indictment of the system (trial by jury) but an indictment of the Defense attorney's logic.

Ms. Clancy's alcohol consumption was of no importance when she prescribed antidepressants.

That alleged psychiatrist is in a lawsuit,as is her sponsors,Telehealth.

Alcohol is a depressant.

Ms.Clancy is paralyzed from the waist down after a failed suicide attempt when she jumped from a window.

She's in that prison for life.

No,she shouldn't go to prison. She needs help. Not Hell.
