If you really revere Jesus's teaching, how about taking a real good look at this - "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. " (Jn. 5:28-29) There're only two resurrections, one is post trib, the other is post millennium, none is pre-trib.

I do not believe in the Rapture myself, but if it was true, and I had to guess which type of Christians wanted which type of Rapture, I would say that all the chocolate soldiers, the ones that melt when the heat is on, want the Pre-Trib. They want the easy life and do not live anywhere where it is dangerous to be a Christian.

I wish we didn't have to go through the great tribulation, but Jesus was very specific about when He returns and collects us. Jesus said to endure, so that's what I'm preparing my faith for. I know you don't believe, but just watch the times we live in. Jesus said we can know the season even though we won't know the day or the hour.

Yes friend, it is true that these passages are utterly meaningless to one such as yourself.

However, they are definitive proof of the pre-trib rapture nevertheless......

You see, some people do "get it" because they "have it". The gifts of wisdom and knowledge that is.

[2Ti 2:17-18 KJV] 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Not all prophecies are 1 and done.

Example:
In Matthew, Jesus is referencing Daniel about the abomination that causes desolation. Daniel is referring to the invasion and the fall of the 2nd temple which happens in 68-70AD. But notice what Jesus says:

Duplicated prophecy that repeats. First in 68-70AD because he's telling that generation to flee to the mountains, and then again at the time of the end for "great tribulation". That's twice.

So when Malachi is talking about the "Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord", that's a tribulation reference. But when Jesus says Elijah already came and links him to John the Baptist, it's pointing to another instance.
So to simplify:
Malachi is in reference to the tribulation period.
Christs reference to John the Baptist is a duel prophecy but not the exact one in Malachi for a Malachi fulfillment due to the "Day of the Lord" reference.
