Dan Corner clearly teaches a works gospel when he preaches and teaches. Look for yourself on his statement of faith- http://www.evangelicaloutreach.org/doctrine.htm
I will highlight some of his statements in PURPLE below from his doctrine page. I am exposing him because he is very popular in the Christian community and has influenced many to believing a gospel of deception.
True grace teaches us to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives (Titus 2:12). In contrast, there exists a false and dangerous "grace" message which gives a license for immorality (Jude 4) and breeds arrogance through a false security (Rom. 11:19-23).
The first sentence is Biblical. The rest of it is an attack on those preaching eternal security. In fact, he lies when he says we teach that it gives us a license of immorality. Check out Romans 6:15
A true Christian (or righteous person) doesn't have to "practice" sin, such as adultery or murder, before they lose their salvation, since it only takes one act of adultery to make a person a Bible-defined adulterer (Lev. 20:10) and one act of murder to make him a Bible defined murderer (Number 35:16). Rev. 21:8 is clear in stating such people are headed for hell because of their sins. David is a clear example of a righteous man who lost his salvation for a time, due to adultery and murder.
Dan Corner is a false prophet who deceives multitudes by misunderstanding what Christ's blood did for us. Consider this passage:
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23
Notice Jesus said he NEVER knew these sort of people. He didn't say he knew them for a while then they became lost again. The Will of God is for people to believe on the Son(John 6:40). Also, Dan is lying when he says David lost his salvation. He will never show you this verse:
"Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." Psalm 51:12
After David committed adultery with Bathsheba, then covered it up with murder, God sent the prophet Nathan to tell him of his wicked deeds(2 Samuel 12:1-7). David lost the joy of his salvation, not his salvation as Dan Corner doesn't share. If David lost his salvation, he would have said "restore unto me thy salvation". David lost his baby as a result of his sins even though he was a saved man.
We are not saved by works (Eph. 2:8,9) but to reap eternal life and not destruction you must sow to please the Spirit and not the sinful nature (Gal. 6:8,9). God is faithful to us (1 Jn. 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13) but we must be faithful to him to the very end of our lives to escape the lake of fire or second death (Rev. 2:10,11). God surely loves us (Jn. 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39) but those who inherit the kingdom of God love God (Jam 2:5; 1 Cor. 2:9) and to love God means to obey his commands (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3).
Out of one corner of his mouth says we are not saved by works, but out of the other side, he requires good works to be saved and to not be lost again. In fact, I have watched a video of him street evangelizing to a campus where he lays out the plan of salvation=obeying the commandments of God. That is clearly works from the beginning, as he requires obedience to become saved by his very own testimony. He deceitfully butchers and cherry picks passages to defend his salvation by works heresy. In fact, our good works are filthy rags to God in comparison to His perfection:
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES ARE AS FILTHY RAGS; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away” Isaiah 64:60
"To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 3:26-28
All sins are not the same in their effect on our souls. Some sins are greater than others (Jn. 19:11). One type is eternal (Mk. 3:29), while others are not. Another type of sin is uniquely against our bodies, while other sins are outside our bodes (1 Cor. 6:18). 1 Jn. 5:16 declares there is a sin that does not lead to death while there is a sin that leads to death. Sins such as worry (Phil. 4:6), unthankfulness (Col. 2:7, 3:15; Lk. 17:11-18) and not being completely humble and gentle (Eph. 4:2) are not included in any of the lists of sins that will send people to the lake of fire, even if they were once saved. However, other sins certainly will send any person to hell if they die unrepentant, even a person who was once saved. (See 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:5,6; Jude 7; Rev. 22:15; etc.).
This is complete heresy and blasphemy. Some sins will not send any person to hell? See some passages that define sin:
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet." Romans 7:7
"...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Romans 14:23
"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." James 2:10
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17
"Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults." Psalm 19:12
Dan Corner teaches that certain sins can **** a believer while other sins wont. Dont think for a moment that God sees some sins "worthy enough" to keep a believer, while others are "horrible enough" to lose a believer. Sin is sin. God hates sin, and it is sin that condemns the world to hell. Dan even teaches some sins wont send ANY man to hell! So here we have a jumbled mess of false doctrines concerning sin. This sort of distinction of sins the way Dan declares, gives me the impression that as long as I stay away from "this and that sin" I will be ok and not lose salvation. In fact, Dan Corner created his own "eternal security" doctrine by formulating this solution, while attacking "eternal security".
I didn't intend this to be unkind, but to warn the body of Christ of a popular false teacher. He may sound good because he quoted a bunch of Scripture, but he is a false prophet, spreading a dangerous message(2 Corinthians 11:12-14). Remember, satan used Scripture to tempt Jesus(Matthew 4:1-11). It is not surprising, that satan's messengers will also appear to know Scripture.
