You have never read Exo 16 have you? OR 20:8-11

And BTW, why say the sabbath was given for HUMAN good out of one corner of your mouth while saying it is for the Jews only out the other side?
Exodus 16 and Exodus 20 don’t say what you think they say: Ex 16 is the first time God ever commands a weekly Sabbath to humans, and He explicitly says, “Tomorrow is a sabbath” — future tense — because Israel had never kept one before; Ex 20 grounds the Sinai Sabbath in creation as analogy, not as a prior command (“for in six days the LORD made…”), exactly the way Deut 5 grounds the same command in the Exodus — two different grounds for the same Israel‑only covenant sign. There is no contradiction in saying “Sabbath is for human good” and “Sabbath was given to Israel,” because all God’s laws for Israel were for human good, but not all were universal moral law. Jesus is correcting Pharisees about their covenant sign, not imposing Sinai on Gentiles; if He were, Paul could not say every day alike, could not call Sabbaths shadows, and the apostles could not omit Sabbath from Acts 15. Ex 16 shows the first giving; Ex 31 shows the covenant sign; the NT shows the shadow fulfilled.
Maybe with the next response you can use scripture to support your view instead of accusations.

Before manna week, there is no scripture mention man to rest on 7th day.
Before the sin, Adam and wife is with God every day, every day is holy, pure, worship, rest in God.
I don't see any command of 7 day cycle, except the creation week.

Possible starting manna week, God want his people to come back to God. Starting the sabbath observing, have faith in a miraculous God.

Agree let's stick reading scripture, a lot of fun.

Where did Jesus say he abolished the Sabbath? And instead we are to keep 7 days holy?
We preach Christ crucified and we worship Jesus in the Spirit and that is a new covenant.

The Old Covenant that YHWH established with the nation of Israel is obsolete.

Gentiles were never under the law that YHWH gave to Israel only.

The sabbath as a law with the penalty of death applied to Israel and Israel only.

Galatians 5:18
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The text above specifically says "not under the law" it does not say "not under the ceremonial law".

The text is very clear that we are led by the Holy Spirit and not by the law of Moses.

Don't change what the scripture states.

Show me where in the N.T that Gentiles are told to obey the ten commandments?

Show me where in the N.T that Gentiles are told that they are in the old covenant of Mt Sinai?

The sabbath is in the law and Gentiles are not under the law.

They will provide an interpretation of the scripture and never what the plain text states.

Adultery in ot was also death penalty.
by reserving sabbath day, we don't exploit nature, people too much. Give everyone a rest, it is moral.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Please avoid using that generic term "God".

God could be Allah, Buddha, or a Sun god.

We boast in Jesus Christ and in no one else.

There is no name under heaven by which we can be saved other than Jesus Christ.

Genesis is a theological text and not a lesson in history.

Unless you think there was a tree in the middle of the garden and not Jesus Christ.

You follow an immoral tradition then.

OK.

You were specifically told to avoid sexual immorality.

Telling people to not commit adultery is opening the door to all manner of sexual sin.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
For it is God’s will that you should be holy: You must abstain from sexual immorality; each of you must know how to control
his own bodya in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Your telling people to not commit adultery when we were directly told by the apostle Paul, to abstain from sexual immorality.

Acts 15:20
Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality.

You are pushing the commandment to not commit adultery and directly ignoring the instructions, that the Gentiles were given.

Agree sabbath law cannot save anyone.

But do you think it can bless people? Meaning make people s life better.

Such as eating healthy brings benefits. Regular convocation worship brings benefits.
The purpose of the law was to condemn, to convict of sin, and that's what the law did to Israel.

The law was given to Israel not to save Israel but to prepare Israel for the messiah.

The law kills.

Romans 7:25
So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Only Jesus can save us from our own wicked desires and passions.

Eating healthy and exercise is vital for a long life.

Healthy eating on it's own is of worth but exercise is probably, these days, even more important.

Everyone sits down all day and drives every where they go.

The heart is a muscle so get out there and start exercising your muscles.

In ot, it was often mentioned obeying law bring blessings.
Healthy life style is great, but ultimately our day is numbered in YHVH s hand.

Would you like a list (partial list - not all inclusive) of the principles of the 10 commandments known and practiced by the patriarchs in the OT before God wrote them down on stone at Mt. Sinai? Save for the 3rd. Nobody knew God's name before the burning bush.So how could His name be taken in vain?

What about a list from the NT showing the same things known and practiced by the apostles and early Christians?
Including the 4th sabbath commandment.?

My guess you will decline. You don't want to know. Such things go against your personal beliefs and denominational training....
Are you referring to the law of Noah?

Do not worship idols.

Do not curse God.

Do not kill.

Do not commit sexual sins.

Do not steal.

Do not eat flesh from a live animal.

Set up courts of justice.

The big lesson from Israel and their law was that Israel failed and crucified the Lord of glory.

There may be a blessing here and there but the ultimate outcome was death.

The house of David was left desolate.

Following the text that the apostles taught us.

I will boast in Jesus Christ and will not boast in the law.
It amazes me.
The number of people who don't actually read and understand God's teaching.
Humanism. Invoking Jesus doesn't mean it is Jesus approved.

W
There are those who double talk.
There is no law. ...The law is written in our mind and heart.

The antisemites, who don't know,Jesus was Jewish, insisting the Sabbath was only for the Jews. When the Sabbath was observed before Sinai and before there were Jews.

Then there's those who think, before Sinai there was no Sin or law.

Seriously,I would say,you can't make this stuff up. But,obviously you can.

I haven't contradicted written history.
I said I don't care what pagan nations believed or practiced.

I'm surprised you are not arguing that we need to throw our first born to Chemosh now. Or to celebrate the fertility rites of Astarte.
Since you are arguing against the 7th day sabbath by using pagan values and beliefs....

Pagan rites and beliefs have nothing to do with Judaism or true Christianity.
You are arguing in support of Constantine's Sunday law from March 7, 321AD. A pagan day of rest that eventually infiltrated Catholicism and supplanted God's 7th day sabbath in 363AD (Canon 29 - Council of Laodicea).
Without absolutely no biblical authority.

All you have are the stone idols that can't turn a handful of dust into a mouse.....
The Creator has been forsaken and people are being to taught THAT'S OK to do.
Constantine instituted a seven day week and Rome could never observe a sabbath day before 321 AD.

You have probably been told that everyone obeyed the sabbath day but Constantine changed that.

That is a blatant lie.

The antisemites, who don't know,Jesus was Jewish, insisting the Sabbath was only for the Jews. When the Sabbath was observed before Sinai and before there were Jews.
There was NO LAW concerning the sabbath day before Exodus 16.

You are terribly confused.

There is a huge difference between covenant law and a divine instruction.

Israel agreed to obey the law and the Gentile nations never had the law.

What is it you do not understand?
