I didn't even play the games, but even I was furious when I heard they killed off Joel in The Last of Us 2!!!

what would an example of a 'woke' activist book as I don't play that many games.

The only thing I can recall is when the publishers of Roald Dahl books 'corrected' his writing and erased all the bad words he'd put in it, like instead of 'fat' they put in some other word. So the newer editions are sanitised and politically correct, unlike the original work, which if you ever read Roald Dahl was sometimes gross and perverse, but children like that sort of thing.

I bought a desktop game that was recently released at Steam called Custom Corners. You can decorate your own room in pixel graphics!

The OG oompa loompas had dark skin, but I think they made them orange for the movie...? The movies kept being remade though, but they are adaptations I suppose and producers will make whatever they think appeals to their target audience...or maybe their own agendas.

I know that for LOTR or was it the Hobbit movies they inserted a whole new character who wasn't in the book that was female because there are hardly any female characters in the OG books.

Wow how many games do you play/have on your PC? Seems like you have heaps!

The HK cabins are sort of like that, and Mymelody keeps wanting me to decorate them using layouts, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I just bung in any furniture I manage to scrounge from my scavengers hunts.

Is there a...Charlie and the Chocolate factory video game?
That scary boat ride would be a trip, and so would the great glass elevator, and the fizzy soda that makes you/Charlie fly and burp. Of course the oompa loompas could be in it, and depending on how much sugar is consumed, would start singing their annoying songs that had morals in them.

From the reviews I heard, The Last of Us is a perfect example. In the first game, there is a virus that turns people into zombies. Joel, the main character, has lost a young daughter, and meets Ellie, whom he comes to love and protect as a second daughter.

Ellie in immune to the virus and so scientists kidnap her to develop a cure -- but they will have to kill her in the process. Joel, not wanting to lose another daughter, goes to rescue her, killing the scientists in the process.

Ellie had been prepped for surgery and when she wakes up, Joel tells her they've found others like her they can make a vaccine from instead. Ellie looks at him, knows that he's lying, but tries to process and accept his choice.

In the second game, a girl named Abby is the daughter of one of the scientists who tried to make Ellie into a cure in the first game.

So here's where the wokeness comes in. First, games have to have a female hero, not a male, and certainly not a straight white male who's a good father. So Abby is the protagonist instead, and she is, as the reviewers I listened to put it, "gargantuan."

She looks like a man, because woke agenda outlaws feminine, attractive women.



Next, Ellie is made out to be gay, with a heavy emphasis on her relationship with another girl, along with several other Jiminy Christmas Cracker Crazy things like some character who's pregnant but has relationships with both the father of her child and another woman.

Abby and Ellie are basically competing to see who can be the biggest, toughest girl boss when seeking revenge, because all woke games have to have girl bosses who can "get it done" better than the men -- and each other.

And so it goes... Rinse, recycle, repeat for most every modern game, and especially popular ones the woke agenda wants to break down.

This is just what I picked up from the game reviewers -- again, I might be misunderstanding some things, so I hope the real gamers will step in and tell us more.

Not just that one, they (well new people) remade The Witches, and Matilda got made into a musical so another movie was made of the musical version. However the first movies were also adaptations of the OG books and didn't always stay true to them.

I think thats what happened with Disney movies as well.

TV shows and such really jump the shark when they start killing off beloved characters. The Simpsons ran for so long, they killed of Maud (Ned Flanders wife) and then I think much later on, I heard Apu got 'canceled' because someone got offended that his character was voiced by a white guy with an Indian accent. But then Bart Simpson was voiced by a white woman so?? And most all the Simpsons had yellow skin..(not white) anyway. so....

Did you watch the cutscene version of the game? If you watch Last of Us Part 1, you'll get REALLY upset because Joel lost his daughter who was the same age as Ellie. So he became a father to Ellie instead and it was an amazing relationship. That's why people were so devastated. A lot of them cried when they saw Last of Us Part 2.

He got replaced as the main character by some man-ish butch. Ellie's role (she also turned out to be a lesbian, smh) was also vastly diminished and she did not come out on top. The man-ish butch did. If that wasn't woke, I don't know what isn't.

There was even a sex scene that I didn't see because I looked away it was so gross. There was a video clip compilation on YouTube where all these influencer gamers were all grossed out and screaming, lol! Some of them were were crying, "My eyes! Oh my gosh, my eyes!" Lol! I can't find the compilation anymore. YouTube being also woke probably took it down, but the reactions were hilarious!

The Baby-sitters Club books had the OG girl boss - Kristy Thomas. The ghostwriters probably made her out to be lesbian in the later books, fans have always suspected she was 'in the closet' and I'm sure the newer books have her crushing on a girl.

Also a lot of the books have token diverse characters but then...in the OG Stoneybrook it was a somewhat white, middle class neighbourhood so anyone who was different stood out. A lot of the parents in it were divorced, but I did notice a lot were also lawyers and the husbands/fathers names were often John.

Claudia Kishi always had 'almond shaped' eyes because she was Japanese American. Jessi, the African American 'black' character was always mentioned as being black. I don't think it was meant to be derogatory though, but the writers always mentioned her skin colour, but not the others.

BSC ran for something like 150 books, and nobody was killed off, except for Mimi Claudia's grandma early on in the series. Later they did have a student in middle school who died in a car crash, but she wasn't a main character.

In SVH (sweet Valley High) a lot of readers cried or were shocked/affected by Reginas death (overdose from cocaine?) in book #40

There was even a sex scene that I didn't see because I looked away it was so gross. Yeah, I'm glad I didn't get too invested in the story because the second game would have ripped my heart out.

The reviewers I listened to all made fun of the sex scene too, lol.

But since Abby looks so manly anyway, it basically looked like 2 guys getting together -- but of course. Because the wokes have to put in anything and everything that "represents" alternative choices to the "evil heterosexual norm."

This is why I've enjoyed listening to the gaming reviewers. I haven't found one yet (that I listen to) who claims to be a Christian, but you KNOW it's bad when even the non-Christians are denouncing such things.

And the fact that they've had some success pushing back is why I'm rooting them on.

I don't normally buy a lot of games but I have gotten more since my Mom's diagnosis of leukemia. For some reason, the lofi music playing in the background and/or decorating a room/playing a cozy adventure, physically removes my stress.

Anyway, this productivity game/tool is also useful for keeping schedules, to do lists, you can journal in it and it has timers too if you need that, which I do sometimes. It doesn't take up much room, you can keep it on side of the desktop and reduce the size even smaller to a corner.

It's not actually this big, I just don't know how to reduce the size, but it sits to the side of the desktop so I can keep working on something else on the computer. It's also cheap under $5.

Last I heard, Catwoman became lesbian or maybe she was bi. But the OG catwoman was def a femme fatale type who was Batman's temptress. I think they were genuinely attracted to each other but could never go that far or admit to it - as they were meant to be adversaries! No sex scenes.

I know 'they' do that with music, change lyrics to make them more christians. For CCM.

And the funny thing was, Last of Us Part 2 was first released as a PS game - the game studios are strictly not allowed to have any sex scenes in any PS game - but this game somehow fell through the cracks....
