Jerusalem’s survival is not a problem for the Jerusalem‑is‑Babylon reading because Revelation 18’s “not found any more” is covenant‑world language, not GPS‑coordinates language: the same idiom is used repeatedly in the prophets for Jerusalem’s destruction, yet those texts also promise Jerusalem’s future restoration, meaning the “never again” formula marks the end of a corrupt covenant order, not the erasure of the physical city; Revelation itself uses this pattern when the old heaven and earth “pass away” (Rev 21:1) even though the planet obviously continues, so the fall of Babylon in Rev 18 is the fall of Jerusalem‑as‑harlot, not the annihilation of the dirt under her feet.
Isaiah calls Jerusalem “Sodom” (Isa 1:10), “a harlot” (Isa 1:21), and says God will “break down” her walls and “make her desolate,” yet the same book promises she will be “exalted above the hills” (Isa 2:2) and “comforted” and “rebuilt” (Isa 40–66); Ezekiel 16 and 23 pronounce total destruction on Jerusalem using the same “never again” rhetoric, yet Ezekiel 40–48 promises her restoration and glory.
In other words, the prophets already give you the template: Jerusalem‑as‑apostate is destroyed forever, Jerusalem‑as‑redeemed is restored forever.
Revelation simply follows that pattern: the “great city” that kills the prophets (Rev 11:8; 18:24) is Jerusalem under judgment, and the New Jerusalem (Rev 21–22) is Jerusalem restored.
So the objection dissolves: the city that “will not be found again” is the old covenant Jerusalem, the harlot; the city that will be exalted forever is the new covenant Jerusalem, the bride.
Sort of.So the disagreement is really to support modern day Israel state or not.
You’re treating Jeremiah’s physical restoration promises as if they erase the prophets’ covenant‑final destruction language — but the prophets never use restoration that way.Now you're using scripture like Pilgrimshope to point out one small picture of the entire larger picture. The Bible shows you that Jerusalem is physically restored and not just spiritually restored.
Jeremiah 30
18 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the Lord.
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Jesus fulfill the covenant by going on the cross for his people. So the jew leaders and judas ischariot did the right thing to murder Jesus?Sort of.
Are they covenant?
That is what I see as the issue.
RT says they are cast off and cast down, and forever forgotten.
So all the promises of God to Abraham have been removed from Israel, and the church is now the recipient of all the promises of Abraham.
IOW, RT has little understanding of Covenant.
Israel is a covenant people.
Romans 9-11 says they will be grafted back in.
That prophecy is fulfilled in Rev 14. A jewsish gathering to heaven.
That same repurchase is in Hosea, with Gomer ( israel) purchased in the end.
RT is partially correct.
They get a D-

You’re treating Jeremiah’s physical restoration promises as if they erase the prophets’ covenant‑final destruction language — but the prophets never use restoration that way.
They use both pictures, and they apply them to two different covenant identities of the same city.
When Jerusalem is apostate, God says things like “no more,” “desolate,” “cast off,” “I will not pity,” “I will make her like Sodom.”
When Jerusalem is redeemed, God says “rebuilt,” “comforted,” “glorified,” “exalted.”
Those are not contradictory; they are sequential.
The destruction is covenant‑final; the restoration is covenant‑new.
Jeremiah 30 is not undoing the judgment texts — it is replacing the judged Jerusalem with the restored Jerusalem.
That’s the conflict: you’re collapsing the two Jerusalems into one, but Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Revelation all keep them distinct. Revelation simply follows the prophetic template: the harlot Jerusalem is ended (Rev 18), the bride Jerusalem is restored (Rev 21–22). Your reading forces restoration to cancel judgment; Scripture uses restoration to follow judgment.
The OT restoration prophecies describe a mortal, temple‑centered, sin‑judged, death‑present Jerusalem on this earth, while Revelation 21’s New Jerusalem is immortal, temple‑absent, sin‑excluded, death‑abolished after the old heaven and earth pass away; those two realities cannot be the same city, so collapsing them forces conditions that Scripture itself keeps separate.Yeah, I'm collapsing the two Jerusalems into one, because that's how the Bible shows it when the New Jerusalem comes down from Heaven (Revelation 21) after the 1,000 year period (Revelation 20) of peace and restoration that's explained throughout the Old Testament and into the book of Revelation.
The Bible doesn't just use "imagery" throughout the entire Old Testament to explain the restoration as the New Jerusalem. It's showing you how the 1,000 years of restoration and renewal to God/Jesus' original people will take place on earth before they are combined into the New Jerusalem.
You are probably right."IOW, RT has little understanding of Covenant."
CT's have even less. Despite the title.
The OT restoration prophecies describe a mortal, temple‑centered, sin‑judged, death‑present Jerusalem on this earth, while Revelation 21’s New Jerusalem is immortal, temple‑absent, sin‑excluded, death‑abolished after the old heaven and earth pass away; those two realities cannot be the same city, so collapsing them forces conditions that Scripture itself keeps separate.
Your timeline forces two biblically incompatible conditions to exist in the same Jerusalem, and Scripture itself never merges them. You’re saying the OT restoration is the millennial Jerusalem, and the New Jerusalem of Revelation 21 is simply the final upgrade of that same city. That's right because those verses that I just showed you show how God/Jesus will pour out His Spirit on the people of Jerusalem upon His Second Coming and restore all things to them on earth, allowing them to remultiply and walk in His ways (remember all of those verses in the Old Testament about Jesus teaching them all over again how to walk in His ways?) , while people are still being judged for trying to oppress them. After that 1,000 year period on earth is over, Jesus will call down the New Jerusalem to make His Millennial Kingdom the permanent Kingdom of Heaven.
Mat 13:16You are probably right.
My doctor is a Messianic Jew from israel.
She knew nothing of the typology of Gomer and Ruth.
Nothing of the 2 wives.
I once contacted the Jews for Jesus ministry about some of the typology, to get a further understanding in the jewish marriage and the 2 wives.
They had no knowledge of either.
They were supposed to get back to me.
They never did.
Your timeline forces two biblically incompatible conditions to exist in the same Jerusalem, and Scripture itself never merges them. You’re saying the OT restoration is the millennial Jerusalem, and the New Jerusalem of Revelation 21 is simply the final upgrade of that same city.
But the text itself blocks that merge because the millennial Jerusalem and the New Jerusalem operate under mutually exclusive realities that cannot coexist in one city or one timeline.
You actually think that God needs your "support" to realize His eschatological Word?So the disagreement is really to support modern day Israel state or not.
I've said this before but here it is again so you don't misunderstand my position, AI can help organize thoughts or surface verses, but it cannot teach, convict, correct, or reveal — only Scripture can do that (2 Tim. 3:16).
I agree with what you are saying. What I don't agree with is the testing against scripture that you won't do just because someone presents their argument formatted by AI. That's no different than copy and pasting a concordance page which would still need explaining.
Sometimes you say things so we’ll brother I second this post well said as usualWhat @Pilgrimshope , myself, and others have an issue with is the way AI is used in a discussion forum. Walls of text are produced in minutes aided by AI. Someone using AI should let AI organize the text but then type out the points that seem relevant to the topic. By NOT doing this the forums become a archive of AI cut-n-pastes.
Like the verse you cited above: 2 Timothy 3:16. Let me paste the whole passage.
10"But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
Paul is talking to Timothy as his "son in the Lord": someone with whom he has a spiritual connection. He prefaces verse 16 and 17 with an account of how their relationship in the Lord was formed: even taking ownership of the doctrine ("my doctrine") Timothy followed to become the man in Christ he is at the time the letter was written.
In this context we must read verses 16 and 17 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."
The action within the passage is within a relationship between a elder and a younger. So, the creation of doctrine, reproof, and instruction in righteousness occurs when the elder instructs the younger. Left to his own reading, a person does not correct himself, does not reproof himself. He will chose the scriptures that support his view (however distorted) of life, being careful not to disturb the quality of life he presently enjoys.
This exposes the deficiency of Sola Scriptura. We can all agree about what the scriptures say, but only those who have lived a life following the Spirit of God know what the scriptures mean. If Sola Scriptura, or knowing what the scriptures say, was the standard of leadership in the church, then logicians, Hebrew and Greek language scholars would all be our elders. But they are not. One who knows the Lord, because they have walked with Him, trusted Him, and know Him intimately, is the central requirement of being any leader so empowered, by the Spirit, to be an example to others.
In closing, sometimes Sola Scriptura can be used properly. But reading can only tell us about God. Much like AI, it can only provide facts and never an experience; never anything about the timing of the Lord, nothing relational. So one should not reject Sola Scriptura nor AI as tools for information.

Oh and BTW, why don't you turn your unmitigated wrath upon some super evil horrid nation like Iran. Russia. North Korea.
But no, you are OBSESSED with the dissolution and disintegration of the Nation Israel alone. Its all you talk about.
“What I don't agree with is the testing against scripture that you won't do just because someone presents their argument formatted by AI.”
everything I post is flooded with scripture I study daily have for a little while now ……I stopped reading through the ai arguments because they go off the rail part way through and I don’t want to waste my time fact checking and showing why it’s wrong …..I’m too old for that brother.
Look through this forum for the past two years ….. you will find arguments between to parties about the same subject both using si to “ present and format thier “arguments “ but the si is contradicting and arguing against itself lol no different from two people with opposing ideas about the same Bible …..
ai doesn’t change anything you can be a pre true believer before you start with ai and create an argument for pre trib . You can then do the exact same thing with post trib . Just like himans do it will emphasize whatever the argument is by choosing verses and ignoring or “ interpreting “ others away that condtradict it
In this forum what I’m saying is tangibly observable . You can find arguments based on the two parties using ai …….. totally opposed to the other . Instead of arguing and disagreeing themselves lol they just let ai argue for them
again though I’m not going to read through ai arguments and then spend my time searching quoting verses and explaining in order to argue with the ai hahaha that’s silly ( but that’s only an old man’s view partner ) you have your own
I’m pretty sure Christian’s knew what they needed to before ai became the new thing . Shoot I grew up on about a ten pound actual book used for cross referencing called an exhaustive concordance …… it also had all the verses from the Bible and lots of study references for understanding things so I get the use of a huge data base to study .
That’s all ai is useful for biblically . Interpreting the Bible isn’t a good use for ai. But again for like the tenth time that’s just what I think no more or less . Whatever you think is valid for you also . My point in even addressing the repetetive ai responses is I’m not interested it’s a waste of my time I’ve already been convinced of it’s major flaws again , not to prove anything to you or try to convince you to change anything but I’m conviced ai is a waste of my time ….. could be because I’m in my seventh decade . But I know I’m not interested in repetetively reading through ai arguments that aren’t correct in my view from what I’ve already studied and come to in my view a sound place .
It seems to me like some of you guys think you are teachers and are trying to teach everyone but there’s a teaching forum here . Where the teachers are meant to teach people .
discussions are different sometimes two people don’t agree and that’s ok . There are lots of reasons why I believe what I do some things I don’t know or have a clue about but other things I think I do grasp well according to what the Bible actually just says plainly.
again im not here to teach you to believe what I do but to discuss ideas about the Bible . If I was a teacher I would post in the forum where people look to be taught . Is alright if you don’t agree with everything I say im alright with that and it’s alright that I don’t agree with everything you say im ok with that .
Im not interested in arguing with aI though that’s all im saying others here are you guys should argue your views against other ai views and see if it solves anything or of then it becomes about “ who knows how to correctly use the ai” and just remains the same opposing views as always
Im definately to the point I’ll ignore the ai stuff it seems to be really growing here a few years ago people just came and discussed and argued that way lol
"The law is not abolished but is of no effect for those that are in Christ Jesus."I've been working on a thought of the book of Revelation sorta like a over view at 3000 ft.
Taking the mount of transfiguration into account. In order for God to be fully revealed the 3 things necessary are the law, the prophets and of course Jesus himself. Without any of the above mentioned it is incomplete.
That's why I lean toward a 3rd temple being built and then again restored for Christ to sit upon David's throne.
The law is not abolished but is of no effect for those that are in Christ Jesus. Yet there still remains a judgment.
We see that in the last days angels proclaim the good news. We see the witnesses at the gates the 144000 and of course the return of Jesus.
God created Israel and in Genesis we see that all he created was very good. I believe this to be God seeing the end from the beginning.
Its just some thoughts that have me to study and meditate on ..... but the same author of the law is the same author and finisher of our faith. But not the author of confusion. Could be my minds file cabinet blowing up in my late yrs![]()
