Do you believe that Baptist preachers who refer to Ephesians 4:11 have received understanding or a miracle from God?
No, a Baptist preacher referring to Ephesians 4:11 has not “received a miracle” or special revelation; he is simply quoting a verse that already exists, and Scripture never says that understanding Ephesians 4:11 is a supernatural event.

I don't know all Baptist preachers. I do know that sadly, these days there are Baptist church which have wandered far from relying on God's word for the truth, and preachers in such churches are not likely to be preaching with godly understanding. Thankfully, not all Baptist church or Baptist preachers are like that.

You keep saying the same thing. I know that the historical accounts of events recorded in the Bible are not merely stories. (I never use the term "Bible stories" for that reason). They are true, and they really happened.

You say they also carry a spiritual message. Perhaps you missed what I wrote in my post: " I am certainly not saying that there are no spiritual lessons for Christians from the account of Noah and the ark. He built a literal ark, because God commanded him to do so. Noah is an example to us of the importance of obeying God, The account in Genesis also tells us that Noah found grace in God's sight, so Noah is also an example to us of the vital importance of God's grace. So I am not limiting what we can learn from Bible accounts to their literal meaning,"

I say again, I also have by God's grace come to know the one true God. Please stop suggesting that I don't know Him by that phrase you use so often in your posts, "we who have come to know the one true God."

All men are are liars. You all know that is written especially if you're not walking in the spirit and talking in the spirit of God let's just call it the Holy Spirit cuz that's what's lacking and and makes all men liars now you call me a liar because your head strong and religion or whatever but I just share the truth from the Holy Spirit.
He Just showed why All men are Liars!

I dint trust any religion it's a power trip and it trips up many souls . It's just like I don't trust any man either it's basically in the word of God or I do recall I'm more into the Holy Spirit and what he shows me and then I'll seek it out to prove it was the correct given to me. It's a normal thing for me . And If if I say I was Crucified with Jesus it maybe a 50/50 half of you would believe me have you would not because in the Bible they used the word Christ referring to Jesus . I can't find it in my spirit to say I was crucified christ because Christ the anointing is what raised Jesus to the new quickened Spirit & body he revealed to his own. So either way I have if I want to please man I go with what they want to hear and be a liar but if I tell them the truth and the Holy Spirit I'm still a liar

You must have understood my post. I disagree with some of the things you write, but I have never, ever, called you (or anybody else on Christian Chat) a liar. I am really sorry that you thought I did call you a liar, but I assure you that I didn't.

What you’re describing is the exact tension Scripture exposes — man’s religion versus the Spirit’s witness, and the Bible never tells you to trust either men or systems; it tells you to test everything by the written Word (Acts 17:11; 1 John 4:1).
The world‑system here is religious authority replacing God’s authority, the same pattern Jesus crushed when He said, “In vain they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
Your instinct not to trust men is biblical (Jeremiah 17:5), and your instinct to verify what the Spirit shows you by Scripture is also biblical (Psalm 119:105).
But the part where you feel “either way I’m a liar” is a trap — Scripture never tells you to please man, and it never tells you to invent language that isn’t in the text.
Paul said “I am crucified with Christ” because he was united to Christ’s death by faith (Galatians 2:20), not because he physically hung on a cross.
If you say you were crucified with Jesus, you’re speaking the same union Paul spoke; if you say you were crucified with Christ, you’re speaking the same anointing‑union Paul spoke — neither is lying when the meaning is union, not biography.
The lie only happens when you speak to please people instead of speaking what the Word actually says.

Thing is it written all men are liers but maybe you didn't catch that really it's ok when we don't speak in the spirit we are actually liars

Yes, Scripture says “all men are liars” (Psalm 116:11), but that verse isn’t teaching that every human sentence is automatically false — it’s exposing the weakness of human flesh compared to the perfection of God’s truth.

See some is ok what you say but then not all ok Gal 2:20 is my favorite but u know the real meaning where many dont .i love the word christ but Only in The Spirit in of true many many say jesus christ and don't know him paul knows him i know Him but today it just another word means nothing go to your local courthouse see how far you go . I am crucified with the anointed one that really was the original writing when I say that without really knowing for from other scriptures I studied .I know it's fact that makes Jesus Flesh and Blood like me and you but then it's just that Christ can't die it's the Holy Spirit let's do anoiting thing and that's why Jesus now has the anointing to anoint us Jesus as son of man was anointed if Gid written.but he did not anoint until he became glorified seated high priest and that's all set up in the Old Testament the high priest could never sit the nation was unclean the preist spent all his time getting people cleansed the high priest never got to sit down on a Sabbath ..jesus is son of man and this will never change you even see it in the last chapter of the bible first born "of The Spirit" many brethren See in HS it is true you're not going to read it that way but but when you know the word of God it is that way The Same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dirt is the Same Spirit got abides in you
I like to say a make His bone in that tiny clean spot that was circumcised out of the heart

But God's word says, not that all men, including Christians are liars, but that the Psalmist said in his haste that they were:

Psa 116:11 I said in my haste, "All men are liars."

Lying is a common sin, but it is not God Who said, "All men are liars"; it was the Psalmist speaking in haste.

What I understand from what you said is that you are not certain because there are Baptist preachers who are not called by God, according to Ephesians 4:11. Am I understanding you correctly?

What are you saying that I am uncertain about? I cannot be certain that every Baptist pastor or preacher is called by God, because firstly, I don't know every Baptist pastor or teacher, and secondly, some that I have met are obviously not teaching God's word. For example, one Baptist pastor told me, "We never mention sin at my church. It might put people off." Every church of which I have been a member in my 50 plus years as a Christians has had preachers who have sought to preach God's word faithfully.

From what I understand from what you said, Baptist preachers have not received understanding or a miracle from God. So, it seems that they are not truly called by God. Am I understanding you correctly?

No, you’re not understanding me correctly, because “not receiving a miracle” does not equal “not called by God,” and Scripture never ties calling to miracles or special revelation.
The Bible says calling comes through the written Word and the Spirit’s ordinary work, not through supernatural downloads:
Paul appoints elders by recognizing character and doctrine (Titus 1:5–9), not by waiting for a miracle;
Timothy is told to study and rightly divide the Word (2 Tim 2:15), not to expect mystical insight; and pastors are made by the Spirit through desire + qualification + recognition (1 Tim 3:1–7), not through miraculous understanding of a verse.
So when a Baptist preacher quotes Ephesians 4:11, he’s either handling the text faithfully or not — but his calling is judged by character, doctrine, and faithfulness, not by whether God gave him a miracle.

Well it's an Excuse in our book. and in even basic regular conversations people actually believe their own lives and don't even know that they're lying and I give that credit to education also. it the natural to get what they want mostly or to get one to there level without a foundation. Good Sir .your a good person its a gimmic to draw One in to whatever their plan is I don't know about you but I deal with it everyday. I don't justify for the flesh I know what's in a man

Didnt someone try to appease Jesus? I'm pretty sure The guy said To Jesus calling him Good sir. Jesus didn't have tell him it was a lie, Jesus just spoke the truth. and Not to make excuse saying Jesus is God, Jesus was being real a man and spoke as a man of God to another man.
It's up to you to see if Jesus was saying he not speaking the truth .

If I speak the truth in the Holy Spirit a caramel mine at man will still call me a liar just so you understand what I was trying to point out and why you say it's tension and this and that and the other I no clue why you would jump on that ship

First of all I agreed with you. Second you are not an authority on scripture. The scripture is. If a person has it in their heart to not believe a word out of your mouth that's biblical, but if they test what you say against scripture and find what you said to be true but refuse it and call you a liar then they are unbiblical. What ship is that!?
