People can make whatever claims they like. Whether the evidence supports them is the question.Actually Paul does not say he is talking about the "weekly" 7th day sabbath of rest.
So you cannot claim he did.

I agree.People can make whatever claims they like. Whether the evidence supports them is the question.
there is no evidence in Col 2:16 that Paul is talking about the weekly 7th day sabbath here.
Because “Sabbath day” would never be interpreted as the weekly 7th day sabbath.I agree.
And there is no evidence in Col 2:16 that Paul is talking about the weekly 7th day sabbath here.
Don't you know there were other says of rest also called sabbath days but were NOT the weekly 7th day sabbath?Never mind he actually named sabbath in this verse.
The experienced scripture twister!
You are mixing up arguments, which is why you have confusion. Stick with the argument that Paul makes in the context of where the verse appears. No, that is in error. Notices in the passages below that they are speaking about who is qualified for the office of a bishop (pastor, teacher, church leader)
Quote from - 1 Timothy 3:1-13
This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desires a good work.
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife
Quote from - Titus 1:6-9
If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God
1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-9 are very clearly saying only men are qualified for the office of a bishop (pastor, teacher, church leader)
These two passages mention nothing about marriage relationships at all.
This topic is one that demonstrates that some reject what God says in His Word in favor of the wisdom of sinful man who rejects what God says claiming women can be qualified for the office of a bishop (pastor, teacher, church leader)
They do so by turning away from the Lord which that do because they are tares
Paul is making a claim about any sort of Sabbath, whatever it is.Actually Paul does not say he is talking about the "weekly" 7th day sabbath of rest.
So you cannot claim he did.
The children of Israel had other days that were also called sabbath days of rest but were not the weekly 7th day sabbath.
Surely you should know this.
Those other feast days and holidays are not given in the 10 commandments.
They were specifically given as "dated" holidays and would never fall upon the same day of the week year after year.
They were part of the Mosaic Law, which included specifics for the temple services, sacrificing animals for forgiveness of sin, circumcision, etc.
These "handwriting of ordinances" were nailed to Jesus' cross.
You must say how my argument ignores Priscilla. My argument is based on what Paul says in the context.Your argument ignores Priscilla whose example contradicts it. I suggest you do some more research and don’t base your conclusion on an English translation.
Do you just make stuff up as you go along?Because “Sabbath day” would never be interpreted as the weekly 7th day sabbath.
… smh
Where is your biblical evidence?Paul is making a claim about any sort of Sabbath, whatever it is.
You are mixing up arguments, which is why you have confusion. Stick with the argument that Paul makes in the context of where the verse appears.
Look at the context again, Paul says, 1 Timothy 2:13-15Your argument ignores Priscilla whose example contradicts it. I suggest you do some more research and don’t base your conclusion on an English translation.
Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath dayWhere is your biblical evidence?
You didn't address my objection, which I thought was clear enough. 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 are addressing a completely different subject matter.Obviously you cannot read, probably due to having been indoctrinated with false doctrine.

The topic Paul is addressing is qualification for bishop which is pastor, teacher, church leader.
The Lord is clearly saying through Paul that one of the qualifications is for the candidate to be a husband which is something only men can be.
You didn't address my objection
You’re contradicting yourself.Do you just make stuff up as you go along?
Lev 23:3 "Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings."
Priscilla was married AND a teacher. Paul affirmed her. Your interpretation of Paul’s letter to Timothy makes Paul inconsistent. You must say how my argument ignores Priscilla. My argument is based on what Paul says in the context.
You have assumed much that the text does not say.Look at the context again, Paul says, 1 Timothy 2:13-15
For it was Adam (husband) who was first created, and then Eve (wife). And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. But women will be preserved (saved) through the bearing of children (Family) if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint.
Paul is talking about married women. He goes to the creation story to give his readers a lesson from Scripture about God's will for married women: the proper role of a woman in the context of her role as wife and mother.
Not at all. Lev 23:3 is a direct reference to the 7th day sabbath of the 4th commandment. You’re contradicting yourself.
That’s irrelevant. The topic is Colossians 2:16.Not at all. Lev 23:3 is a direct reference to the 7th day sabbath of the 4th commandment.
