How are you loving God with your whole heart, mind, soul, and strength currently?
Most recently, I gave the foodbank I volunteer at a whole bunch (thousands) of plastic grocery bags I had collected from area grocery stores.
The foodbank was really short of them, because the winter visitors have not yet arrived to fulfil that task.

When I say currently, I mean right now. How are you loving God right now?

Maybe, but seeing as it is 9 PM here, there isn't much happening outside anymore.
I think I will go have a snack right now, and love God that way.
If there is something more you can be doing to love God, then you haven't kept the 1st and greatest commandment. Maybe doesn't sound like you know. Can you tell me all that is required in the keeping of the first commandment? How about earlier today? Was there anything you could have done earlier today to love God more?

I have asked several questions that have never really been answered.

You would have to accept the whole counsel of God in order to get over being indoctrinated in to believing the fake gospel of eternal security.

I would rattle off a bunch of scripture passages on the subject but you'd just ignore them so I'm not going to waste my time or yours.

The only rub that I can see in what you believe is this, how can we be justified/saved and granted eternal life if we have not yet been redeemed and forgiven

Here's the problem with your question - I did not say a person can be saved without having been forgiven.

Hmm, you initially said that true believers receive "eternal" life from Him on this side of the grave, but now you are saying something different, that true believers can lose their salvation, as well.

You'd have to actually believe all that the Lord teaches in His Word which eternal security fan boys do not.

Because of this I typically don't spend much time on this topic since it's a waste of time to do so when so many these days only believe and accept bits and pieces of God's Word as they have been indoctr4inated to do by their favorite teachers.

The argument I am making is that John 5 states that who so ever believe shall not perish but have ever lasting life.
My argument is that it is possible to fully believe in Jesus, and yet not be saved.

"For even the demon believe and shudder."

Which you seem to be in agreement with.
I read something that said the Greek word translated "in" is much stronger than a superficial acceptance of a fact. It is more believing to the point of commitment. He said that it should be believe "into". I went on a trip to the Grand Canyon 10 years ago. I paid the costs, had my passport up to date, a visa and everything in place. But I still had to get on the aircraft before I could get to America. I've met many who beleive the facts about Jesus. But they are not willing to trust Him with their lives.
You have to remain faithful till the end of your life, to be granted eternal life.
You can call obedience a work, or labor, if you want; but I call it the glorification of the God who saved me.
If you do not have eternal life right now, you are still dead in your sins.

You have to be clueless about what it means to be saved if you imagine that you can lose it.

Hebrews 5:9 - And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him

The question becomes, can a person obey the devil and still be saved?

It's weird that more and more people are advocating for disobedience which is advocating for living in opposition to the Lord being a servant of the devil. Very weird but it shows we are in the last days where deception abounds.

Romans 6:16 - Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Quick question.

Did the men who call out to Jesus "Lord, Lord" in mat 7 Not believe?

Because from what I've read here in mat 7 not only did these men believe they had very strong faith in Christ as they where able to cast out demons in His name... Yet, He told them away from me I never knew you.

So then how can your interpretation of John 5 be correct if salvation is imparted the moment you simply acknowledge the deity of Christ?
its in the post 305, that i spent hours writing, documenting, formatting. It is too long and that no one read because of it. people's attention span now rarely exceeds 3 lines.

we first believe then we have to abide in Christ,follow him daily and to the end and not let go and not turn back. here is the short version of it from that post 305;

If you believe on Jesus, you were saved the moment you believed, and you have eternal life today. Jesus said, "He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life" (John 5:24). That is the past tense, and it is settled.

Stay in Him and keep following, because you are being saved every day. That is the present tense. Jesus said, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed" (John 8:31).

Endure to the end, and you shall be saved when He comes. That is the future tense, and He promised, "I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:40).

Hold on to only one of these and you end up either too sure of yourself or too afraid. Hold all three and you have both confidence and a reason to keep going. Jesus did not give us salvation to leave us guessing. He gave it so we could know where we stand, walk in it daily, and finish well.

So if you have believed, rest in what He has already done, stay close to Him today, and look forward to the day He returns. "He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus" (Revelation 22:20).

I was invited😊

The Parable of the Wedding Feast (Matthew 22:1-14)

Once again, Jesus spoke to them in parables:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son.

He sent his servants to call those he had invited to the banquet, but they refused to come.

Again, he sent other servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner. My oxen and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

But they paid no attention and went away, one to his field, another to his business.

The rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.

The king was enraged, and he sent his troops to destroy those murderers and burn their city.

Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited were not worthy.

Go therefore to the crossroads and invite to the banquet as many as you can find.’

So the servants went out into the streets and gathered everyone they could find, both evil and good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

But when the king came in to see the guests, he spotted a man who was not dressed in wedding clothes.

‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But the man was speechless.

Then the king told the servants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Are you judging my works or my motivations? What are you trying to say here?

yes it can be lost jesus said so, many are called but few are chosen read the words of jesus and see for yourself
Being called doesn't equate to being saved. And your reference isn't about losing salvation. Your reference has Jesus speaking to 1st century Jews; it doesn't apply to the world at large.

My point was what eternal means. Is something eternal if it can be lost?

The only works ever written against by Paul, were the works of the Law. ie, circumcision, dietary rules, feast keeping, sabbath keeping, tithing, etc.
Are any murderers going to get eternal life ?
How about the liars, thieves, and adulterers ?
Nobody that offends God, will inherit eternal life.
No faithful man will kill, lie, steal, or commit adultery.
Would you consider hypocrisy a type of sin similar to lying?
